The Senate on Sunday passed the $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act, a scaled-down version of the Build Back Better Act. The Senate voted to pass H.R. 5376, otherwise known as the Inflation Reduction Act, 51-50. The legislation passed on a party-line vote, with Vice President Kamala Harris breaking the tie. “It’s been a long, tough and winding road,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said ahead of the vote. (Snip) House Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) has detailed the 50 most radical aspects of the legislation. Perhaps ironically for Manchin, the bill would not reduce inflation, according to the Penn Wharton Budget Model and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Fox News journalist Pat Ward also cited a comment from a White House official denying they did not receive notice of the raid and referred reporters to the Justice Department.
President Joe Biden returned to the White House from his trip to view flood damage in Kentucky at about 6:00 p.m. and his staff called a “lid” for the day at 6:29 p.m.
Rep. Liz Cheney’s husband, Philip J. Perry, and Hunter Biden’s attorney, Christopher J. Clark, are both partners at the same law firm, Latham & Watkins.
Given that partners share revenue, this means that Cheney’s husband is profiting off of Clark’s services to President Joe Biden’s son.
“In December, Hunter Biden hired former federal prosecutor Chris Clark, a partner at the firm Latham & Watkins. The president’s younger son is said to be under investigation for possible tax and money laundering activities, with a potential counterintelligence component,” Axios reported in February of 2021.

The bill passed 51-50, including Vice President Harris' tie-breaking vote, after winning key approval from Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.
But Manchin's stamp of approval was not without concession from climate advocates.
