Biden Administration Bracing for a Tsunami
of Bad Economic News Next Week

Original Article

Politico calls the coming avalanche of bad economic news a “Category 5 storm.” Indeed, the Biden administration may want to dig a hole and hide while Biden goes to his summer home in Delaware, given the depressing numbers that will come out of Washington this coming week. Consumer confidence numbers (which currently stink) hit on Tuesday. A Federal Reserve meeting and decision on interest rates, coupled with a press conference from Fed Chair Jerome Powell, follows up on Wednesday. The first reading on second quarter economic growth drops on Thursday. And the latest numbers on our vexing run of historically high consumer price inflation close out the monster run

The Dems have been furiously destroying every critical part if the economy since literally day one. Full court sabotage. Of course there will be more bad economic news, and they will smile in private....and then publicly pretend to care, and pretend that they are surprised.

you already KNOW there is and has been a fullcourt, behind the scenes pressure play to massage those numbers by the administration, but also their big money supporters, it may well turn out to be annnoucemtns of "Positive" numbers...revised later the other way. Keep in mind Al Gore ran on "The best economy in 100YEARS!!!"...then when the counting was all finally over and Bush had one the numbers were revised down 33%! We were IN a recession, the Clinton Team(including Robert Reich and Krugman) said "oops, Snafu, common error, we had a few numbers misplaced". Truth? THEY LIED for politics, and coerced the "Experts" to go along with that Lie, including all of the Media who KNEW the numbers didn't make sense.

The Dems are saying the economic down turn and high gas prices are to help save the planet and the environment? Since when does saving the planet have to wreck a nations or world economy. If wrecking economies is the way to say the planet they will never meet their goal. They need a new game plan or at least another narrative or a better lie.

Walmart issued a profit warning Monday, cautioning that its second-quarter operating income would be lower than expected and would show a decline of about 13 percent. The announcement quickly caused other major US retailers’ stocks to plunge, wiping out over $100 billion in stock market value in after-hours trading. (Investopedia explains how after-hours trading works here.) Per Reuters: Walmart’s stock tumbled over 9% in extended trade, and other big retailers also sold off. Target (TGT.N)fell over 5% and Amazon (AMZN.O) was down about 4%. Meanwhile Costco Wholesale Corp (COST.O), Best Buy (BBY.N), Dollar General (DG.N) and Dollar Tree (DLTR.O) each declined more than 3%. Home Depot (HD.N) fell almost 2%. This comes as President Biden and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen continue to deny

Republican officials in the House and Senate ripped into the Biden administration after it attempted to redefine what constitutes a recession while concerns mount about a significant decline in economic activity this year. On Thursday, ahead of a potentially negative GDP report expected later this week — the annualized economic growth rate shrank by 1.6% in the first quarter of this year and appears to have contracted even more in the second — a White House blog post attempted to redefine the term “recession.” “While some maintain that two consecutive quarters of falling real GDP constitute a recession, that is neither the official definition nor the way economists evaluate the state of the business cycle,”

The Wall Street Journal on Sunday accused Telsa CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk of having an affair with the wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, causing Brin to file for divorce. Musk fired back, calling the WSJ a “sub-tabloid” and claiming that he had just been hanging out with Brin that very day. A Twitter post from this morning showing Brin and Musk partying appears to be authentic, as Musk replied to the tweet with, “Yeah, that was Sergey and me yesterday afternoon!” The Journal article, last updated at 12:30 AM EST on Monday, paints a wholly different picture. According to the Fox News models, that advantage would translate to a GOP win, with a gain of 23 seats. Now, other polls are coming in even higher than that. First, we have the Trafalgar Group poll on the generic Congressional ballot. That has the Republicans up by more than eight points among likely voters, Republicans 48.3 percent to Democrats 40.2. There were 10 times more galaxies just like our own Milky Way in the early Universe than previously thought. This cosmic insight comes from one of the first studies of images captured by Nasa's new James Webb Space Telescope. One of its authors, Prof Christopher Conselice from the University of Manchester, UK, said that Webb could "zoom in on the early Universe". This yielded insights about objects in space that "we knew existed but didn't understand how and when they formed". Disc galaxies dominate the "galaxy population" today," the researcher explained. Author Jeffrey Frank has written two biographies of American presidents, one about Harry S. Truman and another about the relationship between Dwight D. Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a first-term senator from California before entering the White House, hasn’t been given the sort of immersive experiences or sustained, high-profile tasks that would deepen and broaden her expertise in ways Americans could see and appreciate. In the modern era, of course, a 68-day trip for a vice president would be laughable.

Almost three months later, though, the leaker has seemingly escaped detection and punishment. Are they even still investigating the leak? Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday. Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs. Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important."
