In the aftermath of the Thursday attack on the Republican candidate for governor of New York, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), there was some confusion identifying the weapon wielded by the attacker as he attempted to stab Zeldin. The Monroe County Sheriff’s report of the incident read, “A male from the crowd climbed up on the stage and approached Zeldin. The male had a weapon in his hand, swung it towards Zeldin’s neck.” (Snip)So, what exactly was the weapon that Zeldin’s attacker was holding as he lunged for the congressman?
The device is called a “Ninja Kitty Self Defense Keychain Ring Impact Self-Defense” and it retails for $11.85 online.

If you've ever handled a ceramic blade knife you already have some respect for that thing.
It may be promoted as a defensive item. Offensively, however, at close quarters, it looks to be very effective for slashing at the carotid artery, or the trachea. It's all dependent on the user's actions, not the object.
Sound familiar?

9-11 was carried out with box- cutters. Hold one of to the throat of Alex Griiing and then ask him what's so puzzling and if calling it a knife is really that funny.

These are commonly carried by thugs on the street. Easy to conceal, sometimes worn as a belt buckle, and they can be debilitating if not lethal.

The usual hypocrite statement by the Spinach Leaf-in-Chief, violence is unacceptable in our society - unless it is committed by Black Ferals, Antifa or the Capitol Police.
The guy could have accomplished a killing with a tin can lid, a fork or a pencil if he had hit his target.

If someone attacks you, you defend yourself and don't ask questions about what that persons weapon is. The attackers intention was to harm Zeldin and deprive him of his right of free speech. Throw the book at him, not realease him so he can come back and do it again. Zeldin needs to arm himself.

I’m 58 years old and am confident I could still run those points through your frontal sinus and penetrate your brain. In the right (or wrong) hands, it could kill. Period.

Fortunately, this is what some on the left imagine is a "deadly weapon".
I'll spot him four or five Ninja Kitty Self Defense Keychain Ring Impact Self-Defense" jokes for my one magazine full of .45 ACP ammo in a semi-auto pistol.
Fortunately this nutcase didn't get a $10 butcher knife at Walmart and bring it.

I have something similar on my key ring. Mine is called an “Equalizer” and I bought it at a gun shop. Also bought them for all female members of my family. I put mine on my hand whenever I’m walking alone in public.

Hey Nadler, sounds like an assault weapon to me. Is the Ninja Kitty covered in your assault weapon legislation? If not, why not?

while they claim "Others" are confused...even they call it a self defense weapon when it fact it was used to "Assault", hence that particular one was/is an Assault Weapon.
If any member of any military anywhere in the world...at anytime...ever possessed one of those it would be a "Military Style Assault Weapon"...right?
(were the 'armed' traitorist, terrorist, seditious, insurrectionists, attempting to kill everyone and rid the world of democracy on Jan 6 all issued these...by Trump?)

Whatever the perpetrator was carrying in his hand, it was a weapon that could permanently blind a victim if the perpetrator stabbed the victim in his eye with that weapon. In other words the perpetrator was engaged in committing an aggravated assault against a U.S. Congressman that is a federal felony criminal offense when he was subdued by onlookers. So where is Biden’s DOJ and FBI who have jurisdiction over such violations of the law?

Some years ago, my sister got one of these "key chains" from the rape crisis center for self-defense. She had it on her key chain for years. On an occasion she had to go through security to enter the courthouse. A policeman asked her if she knew what she had, she told him, a key chain, the office told her "No, it is a weapon". She could not enter the building with it. The police identify it as a weapon, and you cannot take one in a courthouse, airport or stadium. She no longer carries it and said it is light weight but could do some damage if used against someone.

Dozens of words fussing over the exact nomenclature with the important part buried many paragraphs down:
"While it is not a “knife” or a “blade,” the weapon could certainly hurt someone as it has sharpened points and is designed to repel attackers."
The whatever-it's-called was aimed at the Congressman's neck.

The assailant is the joke here, slow, awkward and dim witted. Oh wait, his motives were pure and righteous, forget I mentioned it.

Anyone else notice the assailant was wearing a Vietnam veteran ball cap? I doubt he was even born before the US withdrew the last fighting units in ‘73 and withdrew embassy Marines from Saigon in ‘75. I’m no longer a spring chicken and was a Corpsman in ‘75, providing medical for the South Vietnamese who managed to flee before the communist troops began their bloodbath, as we abandoned Saigon. My father, a Native American, had a similar ball cap but his had WWII, Korea, and Vietnam on it. He jokingly called it his “war bonnet.”

Re #15, and other ladies.....Annette Evans looks at a number of "self defense items" which are
often marketed for women. You might find here series of videos interesting. On
InRange TV, under the "On Her Own" subsection. A smart young lady, worth listening to.
She talks to various experts about various tools. He's one on 'car keys' for self defense....
a commonly recommended strategy. There are many more in her series.....

#20, I took mine to Australia and New Zealand in 2018, but in my checked luggage. I mixed it in with all of the items in my toiletry case and no one noticed it. I’m glad I took it because I was followed for several blocks in Melbourne by a guy who kept getting in my personal space. I had it on my fingers in my pocket and ready to go. Fortunately, I managed to lose the guy and didn’t have to use it. I was on 13 different flights on that trip and it skated right through all of the security.

Mediaite, always a far left mouthpiece doesn't seem too concerned about the weapon, but if anyone on that filthy staff was in an elevator with a thug armed with the Hello Kitty jagged metal weapon, THEN they would understand. Just more lies from a truly evil media. BTW, Zeldin, have a long talk with your security team.

In the past few years I've seen these at gun shows, although I don't remember seeing a plastic one. All I've seen have been metal with sharp points but not sharpened edges. Would definitely be an effective defensive stabbing weapon.
