New Survey Reveals Significant Doubts

Asked to look back at the pandemic and assess public health recommendations aimed at limiting Covid-19 spread, only about half of Americans now think masks and vaccines have been very effective or extremely effective. That's the finding of a new Pew Research survey of more than 10,000 adults, which provides insights into Americans' thinking about many aspects of the pandemic. Only 48% think "wearing masks around other people indoors" has been extremely or very effective; 23% give masks a lukewarm "somewhat effective" grade. Defying two years of public health preaching, 28% say they're either "not too" or "not at all effective."

The graph gave me a chuckle. Republicans, over time, became less and less confident in the effectiveness of everything the government was doing. Democrats, on the other hand, didn't change their opinions. Says it all right there. Democrats are ideologues, don't think critically, and ignore evidence to the contrary. Republicans, are awake, and are willing to reevaluate based on truth.

Dr. Jill Biden Compares Latinos to Tacos 1 reply

You might remember the manufactured media controversy that erupted when President Trump tweeted a picture of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco De Mayo. The media and left-wing moonbats went nuts, calling it a racist belittlement of the Hispanic community. Well, today, someone convinced Dr. Jill Biden that it would be a great idea, a brilliant exhibition of her connection to the Latino community, for her to compare the diversity and unique nature of Latino’s to “breakfast tacos.” Seriously folks, you just cannot make this stuff up. But wait, it gets worse. Mrs. Biden doesn’t even know how to pronounce the word “bodegas” as it was loaded into

Barrons has an interesting article on an increase in bank auto repossession rates connected to defaults [see here]. Essentially, used car prices have surged significantly and the timeline seems to indicate the temporary covid-19 stimulus spending had a lot to do with the increase in demand. According to data assembled by CoPilot, used cars are currently priced approximately 10,000 higher than they would be without any pandemic related influence, supply side or demand side. Banks and financial institutions loaned money into the climbing market price. However, the artificially inflated car prices now create a bubble where the liability on the books is significantly higher

Fewer Americans than ever say that they believe that the Bible should be taken literally, while a record number of Americans now say they view the holy book as a compilation of "fables, legends, history and moral precepts recorded by man," according to a Gallup poll. One in five Americans surveyed said the Bible is the "actual word of God, to be taken literally," about half off from the high point in 1984. The survey also shows that as fewer Americans are ranking religion as "very important," the number of those who believe the Bible came directly from God decreases.
