I wrote here about the sensational story of a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio who had to travel to Indiana for an abortion. The story, phoned into an Indiana newspaper by an abortionist who seems to spend most of her time promulgating pro-abortion propaganda in the press, spread around the world almost instantaneously. But there is little reason to believe it is true. (snip) In an apparent Freudian slip, he (Biden) referred to terminating a presidency rather than a pregnancy:

Some like to argue that marriage, family, and professional success don’t mix. The opposite has been proven this week at Wimbledon, tennis’ most prestigious Grand Slam, by the performance of a German wife and mother of two. Thirty-four years of age and ranked outside the top 100, Tatjana Maria had never advanced beyond the third round in 34 previous Grand Slam attempts. 34! But this year, she made it all the way to the semifinals.
Maria’s game is a family affair. Her entourage on tour includes coach and husband Charles-Edouard Maria (a former player himself), and her daughters, eight-year-old Charlotte, and 15-month-old Cecilia.

Let’s get one thing straight: The Left doesn’t care about women with unplanned pregnancies. They only care about murdering babies and keeping Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer-funded grift going. You know how we know? Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Eichmann) is trying to shut down crisis pregnancy centers that have helped untold millions of women — and saved the lives of more than 800,000 babies, just since 2016 — by providing prenatal care and ultrasounds, parenting classes, counseling, diapers, other baby supplies including formula and furniture, and access to social services. But that’s not good enough for Liz Warren because those centers refuse to shed innocent blood.

The state of Florida saw a surplus of $21.8 billion for the 2022 fiscal year, the highest in state history and more than 21% higher than the state's spending plan, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday.
Tax collections in May were $742 million above estimates; preliminary data for June is approximately $950 million above estimates.
“Despite the headwinds created by the Biden administration’s policies, Florida is in a strong fiscal position because we preserved freedom and kept our economy open,” DeSantis said.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Friday that the state's widespread use of ballot drop boxes is illegal, delivering a huge victory to election integrity activists and a stinging rebuke to state officials who had deployed the boxes to major success in the 2020 election.
In the court's 4-3 ruling, the justices rebuked the Wisconsin Elections Commission for distributing the boxes across the state, arguing that only the Wisconsin legislature had the authority to employ their use.
"Only the legislature may permit absentee voting via ballot drop boxes. WEC cannot,” the court said in the ruling.

Rolling Stone alleged the Supreme Court could have been unduly influenced by praying with religious groups in a lengthy piece published Wednesday.
Politics reporter Kara Voght wrote that Peggy Nienaber, vice president at Faith & Liberty, admitted that she has prayed with Supreme Court justices in a secretly recorded video after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
"This disclosure was a serious matter on its own terms, but it also suggested a major conflict of interest. Nienaber’s ministry’s umbrella organization, Liberty Counsel, frequently brings lawsuits before the Supreme Court," Voght wrote.

Beloved actor Paul Rudd sent a middle schooler a heartwarming letter of encouragement, promising the 12-year-old boy that “things get better” after his classmates refused to sign his yearbook at the end of the school year.
Brody Ridder, who just finished his sixth grade year at The Academy of Charter Schools in Westminster, Colorado, was devastated in May when his yearbook was left nearly blank of signatures and well-wishes for the upcoming summer.

The House of Mouse almost became the House of Chronic.
Disney was reportedly interested in signing gangsta rap artist Dr. Dre to its label after seeing the success of his 1992 debut studio album, “The Chronic,” which boasts hits like “Nuthin’ but a G Thang,” “F-k wit Dre Day,” and “Let Me Ride.” (snip) Disney was preparing to offer Dr. Dre a $4 million deal, but had second thoughts when it realized that the artist’s expletive-filled music didn’t jibe with its squeaky-clean, family-friendly image. Anyone who thinks America is badly governed right now can comfort themselves that at least we aren’t Britain. (snip) (Boris) Johnson always hated comparisons with Donald Trump (usually based on nothing more than their hair). He was especially stung when Joe Biden made the link. Johnson believed he was different from traditional conservatives. Perhaps he was. And so — urged on by a small circle of advisors including his woke young girlfriend, then wife — he tried to do everything he could to show he wasn’t a conservative. He ignored the UK’s border crisis, pumped money into an unreformed welfare state and raised taxes.

Brittney Griner — the WNBA All Star held in Russia on drug charges since February — pleaded guilty in a Moscow-area court Thursday.
“I’d like to plead guilty, your honor,” Griner said, addressing the court in English. “But there was no intent. I didn’t want to break the law.” Griner — who could face up to 10 years in prison under Russian law — said she would like to give further testimony at a later date.
“I need time to prepare,” she said.

She’s not kidding around.
Lorella Palmer, a 22-year-old influencer and style blogger from London, England said she doesn’t want kids for a variety of reasons and she’s tired of people trying to change her mind or call her decision “selfish.” “Kids are just annoying, they annoy me, in every sense of the word. They have no common sense, they can’t drink, they have to go to bed early, they scream, they cry, they annoy me, Palmer told The Mirror this week.
“Every time I see a child, they’ve just got crust round their nose and round their mouth, there’s drool, they’ve got food everywhere and they’ve got sticky fingers.”
