Beware America, Gavin Newsom Is Running

The governor of the biggest state in the country has said he isn’t running for president. But there’s no question Gavin Newsom wants to be in the White House. The only question: Is this country foolish enough to elect such a miserable failure? Newsom has said publicly that he has no presidential ambitions. But it’s no secret that he’s been groomed for White House occupancy by rich, progressive San Francisco elites. And now he’s “picking exactly the kinds of fights that presidential candidates like to pick” and is “clearly laying the groundwork for a presidential run,” in 2028 if not 2024.

Just what I want to hear this morning. A overly gelled elitist fop, groomed by his aunty Nancy to do to the rest of the United States what he has done to California. No thanks.

Just highlight his accomplishments: open borders, rampant crime from illegals, drug overdoses, skyrocketing energy and food prices, Out of control homelessness, schools failing, highest taxes in nation, California corporations and residents fleeing in droves to Republican led states due to all of the above.

Very simple proposition. Does anyone want the country to look like California? Aging infrastructure, that was cool in the 19's (as my grandkids call it) and homelessness, drugs, crime... everywhere? We have seen the pictures and the movie. Add to that his allegiance to his Aunt Nancy Pelosi and this guy is the closest thing to Death to America since Dementia / Traitor Joe Biden.

#12 As a naturalized Texan of over 40 years, your comments calling Swalwell a Texan are fighting words. My native Texan friends would be saying "get a rope" after that comment. As far as I know, he's never lived in Texas. His Wikipedia page says he was born in Iowa, moved to California and went to college in North Carolina and Maryland. He defeated Fourtney "Pete" Stark in Congress (2012), a reprehensible creature in his own right, but a saint compared to Swalwell.

He's straight out of central casting for the part. He looks like a TV-producer's idea of what a President should look like, and he's totally willing to speak whatever lines his controllers put in his mouth, so he'll likely get the nomination at some point. Never mind that he's an empty, worthless t**d of a human being, the Democrat/Marxists will go for him. And, unless their vote-fraud juggernaut gets destroyed, he will likely become President.

Unwilling to take their political and legal losses like the good citizens of a democratic republic and work within the system, Democrats are more and more demanding they get their way through harassment that includes the threat of violence. What has set this country apart since its birth is unraveling. The U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs ruling, the “unflinching repudiation” of Roe v. Wade, set an already fuming political left on fire. And the flame still burns. White hot. “The six justices who overturned Roe should never know peace again,” a Harvard law instructor, and democratic socialist, tweeted

When the latest government report on inflation came out on Wednesday, showing that it had hit another grim milestone in June of 9.1%, President Joe Biden told the public not to worry. That figure, he said, “is out of date.” Prices for key components of the Consumer Price Index have eased so far in July, he said. Besides, he said, inflation is higher “in many countries (in Europe) than in America.” The public would do well to ignore anything Biden says about inflation, given his horrible track record

The Jan. 6 hearings mark the third major investigation into former President Donald Trump’s time in office. To many people, in particular Republicans, these investigations have looked suspiciously politicized, especially the most recent hearings. What’s surprising is that a large share of Democrats agree, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll results show. Republicans have been front and center in criticizing the Jan. 6 hearings as little more than a political circus intended to besmirch Trump. Even the makeup of the “bipartisan” committee has come in for ridicule, since the two GOP members of the nine-member panel were handpicked

Reports of unrest over environmental policies from the Netherlands and Sri Lanka are much more than novelty news. What is happening in both spots is a lesson that has to be learned quickly. If not, there’s deep trouble ahead. Dutch farmers, whose history of crop yields puts them among the most productive in the world, continue to protest rules that limit their use of nitrogen, a nutrient in commercial fertilizers that converts to nitrous oxide, which is feared as a greenhouse gas. Officials expected them to cut use 50% nationally, which means in some regions, the reductions will be as high as 95%.

After months and months of bad news and metastasizing crises, who can blame President Joe Biden for seizing one glimmer of good economic news? Too bad the good news isn’t really that good at all. On the surface, the economic news from Friday looked celebratory. The Labor Department reported that the economy had created 372,000 mobs in June, beating the consensus forecast (a rare thing under Biden). The unemployment rate held at 3.6%. And, to top it off, jobs in the private sector regained all the losses from the COVID lockdowns. In response, Biden rushed out a statement bragging about

Psychological projection is the act of attributing one’s unpleasant traits to someone else. Psychological deflection is a way of shifting attention away from one’s poor behavior to another person. Both are used expertly by Democrats, who don’t want the voters to catch on to their act. We could start with any of the Democrats’ many examples of projection and deflection, but let’s focus on one of the most recent instances of a Democratic pot calling a kettle black: California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Florida television ad. “Freedom is under attack in your state,” Newsom said

A little over 500 days into his presidency, Joe Biden has an unblemished record — of being “caught off guard” by every major crisis that has engulfed the country since January 2021. The question now is, what’s the next crisis that will catch Biden flat-footed and for which he will have no solutions? Search for “Biden caught off guard” and see for yourself how often this has made news over the past year and a half. To save you the effort, here are just a few examples:

Maybe the Jan. 6 hearings are, as some assert, really about distracting Americans from the Democrats’ shocking policy failures. How else can one explain the refusal of President Joe Biden and the Democratic Congress to address our ongoing energy crisis? And, no, it’s no exaggeration to call this a crisis. With consumer prices rising at a four-decade-high of 8.6% in the most recent year-over-year comparison, Americans are watching their standard of living fall fast. A just-released national survey has found that 83% of U.S. households are cutting their personal spending and travel due to soaring inflation. These cutbacks

President Joe Biden signed a sweeping gun control bill into law over the weekend that aims to prevent future massacres like the one that occurred in Uvalde, Texas, a month ago. The new law enhances background checks for young would-be gun buyers, encourages states to pass so-called “red flag” laws, and devotes some money to improving school security. The May 24 attack on a Uvalde elementary school that killed 19 students and two teachers created a wave of anger across America over gun violence in schools. Recently there has been a spate of stories about Republicans’ difficulties in taking over the Senate. These analyses typically focus on candidates’ poor polling numbers in key states and the weakness of the Republican recruiting class. These aren’t absurd analyses; I’ve referred to the battle between the overall electoral environment and Republican candidate quality as “the irresistible force versus the immovable object” in previous columns. Had the Republican Party fielded its A-team in states like Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona, we probably would not be talking about Democrats even having a shot at retaining the Senate. At the same time, we shouldn’t get carried away.
