President Joe Biden has again blamed inflation on 'Putin's Price Hike' just moments after Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell said that Russia's war in Ukraine was not the main driver of rising consumer prices. 'I'm doing everything I can to blunt the Putin Price Hike and bring down the cost of gas and food,' Biden wrote in a tweet on Wednesday touting his release of oil from strategic reserves and efforts to help Ukraine export grain. But earlier Wednesday, Powell acknowledged that inflation was 'certainly high' before Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine.(Snip)The Consumer Price Index is currently running at 8.6 percent this May over last

So now Jerome Powell is a Russian collusionist?

Apparently there’s a weenie bump going on between the President and the FED. Biden telling lies and Powell becoming more truthful. Maybe Powell doesn’t want to completely lose his credibility.

You stole an election, Joe, and used your son as your bag man to bilk millions of dollars from the US taxpayers, China and the Ukraine for decades. Everything that come out of your mouth is a lie. Nobody believes a word you say, you decrepit sack of silicone. God help me, but I pray for your trial, conviction and execution for treason.

Cutting government spending might help? Of course it would help - cut it back to the military and building services for the three branches of gov. And this guy is the fed chairman? Couldn't they find an actual economist that knows what he's doing?

Cutting government spending "might help"???? Heck, yes, it will CERTAINLY help. I'm not sure Powell is up to the task, and Yellen is an idiot, apparently an affirmative action hire.

The Smithtown Library board of trustees voted 4-2 to rescind its controversial Tuesday night decision. One of the seven trustees abstained. The Biden administration on Tuesday proposed changes to the federal civil-rights statute banning sex discrimination in federally funded education programs, including expanding protections to sexual orientation and gender identity. One proposed change “would make clear that preventing any person from participating in an education program or activity consistent with their gender identity would subject them to more than de minimis harm on the basis of sex and therefore be prohibited, unless otherwise permitted by Title IX or the regulations.” If adopted, the rule change would bar universities and any other federally funded institutions from maintaining men’s and women’s sports and sex-segregated spaces like locker rooms and dormitories.
