Klobuchar: Senate Gun Bill ‘Paves the
Way’ for Other Gun Control Measures

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) argued that the Senate gun legislation “paves the way in the future to look at” other gun control provisions. Host Anderson Cooper asked, “Well, there [are] probably a lot of people who wanted this to — obviously, you said you wanted this to go farther in terms of gun safety or gun control. What do you say to those who say that this doesn’t go far enough and that this may make it harder to try to get further changes in the future?” Klobuchar responded, “We have worked on this for decades.

Of course it does, and the Rino's will vote for that, and for amnesty for illegals in the country. Cornyn will lead the way. Tucker Carlson was great on Wednesday night, discussing how the people are continuously betrayed by the Republican Rino's in Congress, and the states, while not 20% of those voting Republican support what they are doing. I am not voting for any Democrat, but I am so disgusted with Republicans that I may not bother voting at all. If we are going to more mouthfuls of McConnell and McCarthy, we are getting nothing but more socialism, mandates, censorship, and tyranny shoved down our throats.

Looks like Amy said the quiet part out loud. That these traitorous Republicans went along with it is not surprising but it reveals just how betrayed the American people have been at the hands of these so called Republicans. These fools who gladly went along with this piece of garbage have revealed that they are not elected representatives but they are activists working to destroy the country. They did not represent the views of their constituents because they loathe the very people they were elected to serve. Why do we find ourselves constantly being undermined by the same Republicans? It is because they suffer no consequences for failing to represent the people who put them in office. This vote more than any other reveals their contempt not only for us but for the very document on which they pledged an oath to protect and defend. Each day, we are learning just how corrupt and treasonous these public servants are. These elites are pushing and goading us into a very dangerous place. They are not our betters. They are not our rulers. They have rejected their roles and elevated themselves to positions of power they do not possess. It is a mantle they took upon themselves believing they have the upper hand and right to rule over us without our permission. What they are doing is pushing us toward a point of no return. Then things will get very dicey.

All the Federal gun legislation in the world is irrelevant as the 2A still stands as written. Until the 2A is amended, "that shall not be infringed" on the right to bear arms (not defined) is the law of the land. Government cannot take that right away until the Constitution is amended to say such. Period. Lawmakers do you not understand this?

When I was young and naieve I questioned the NRA's intransigent stance on any legislation whatsoever. My college addled brain thought that such obstinency was a sign of radicalism and that the refusal to even discuss the issue made them more of a cult than a serious advocacy group. All of that may even be true but as I aged I realized why they, and we, must never give an inch, even if that inch makes short term sense. This is a perfect example of why we must be so obstinate. The Senate bill has not even gone to the floor for debate and the left is already changing the goal posts. They will never give up on incrementally chipping away our rights. We all like to think that each side has a radical wing and that through democratic process' we will somehow end up with a reasonable middle ground. And at one time that was pretty much true. But what is now happening is while the right has been fairly constant over the last 60 or 70 years (with a slight shift toward the center) the left has shifted to the extreme. This has moved the "center" so far left that a democrat from the 1980's would find himself well to the right of it. Every time we give an inch all the left sees is that center shifting farther in their favor and no matter what the issue they simple recalibrate and make the same tired argument of "Reasonable" or "Smart". It will never end so the only way to "win the game" is not to play. We must take that radical unwaverung stand no matter how difficult the position is to defend because the other side is bent on the total destruction of our rights and they will chip away and chip away endlessly. We have to make each and every attempt so costly to them that they cannot go on and the immovable positions and political clout (read money and grassroots) of the NRA is our biggest weapon. They know it and that is why they attck them with such fury.

The Democrat gun control laws only inconvenience law abiding firearms owners, as criminals and terrorists do not abide by gun control or other laws. The Congress passes gun control laws. Klobuchar is a Member of the US Senate that is one of the houses of Congress. Trump has never been a Member of Congress. So Klobucher bringing up Trump as being responsible for Congress not passing extreme gun control laws is simply a diversion from the fact that what the Democrats want to do, banning all modern firearms is unconstitutional. If Republicans want to get rid of the considerable number of elected RINOS who are now assisting the leftist, progressive and socialist Democrats in passing the Democrat legislative agenda, the Republicans with start at the State Republican Primary Election level to ensure that RINOS no longer are nominated by the State Republican Parties to be their candidates for federal office.

Protesters are planning demonstrations outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Friday night, after he revealed he now has laws protecting gay marriage, gay sexual activity and contraception in his sights, after axing Roe v. Wade. Following Friday's landmark decision, Thomas called on his fellow jurists to overturn previous rulings that followed similar legal precedent. The prospective law changes, released in a concurring opinion of the decision penned by Thomas, would see limits put on gay marriage, same-sex sexual activity, and citizens' access to birth control.

The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision allowing states to ban abortion stirred alarm Friday among LGBTQ advocates, who feared that the ruling could someday allow a rollback of legal protections for gay relationships, including the right for same-sex couples to marry. In the court’s majority opinion overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, Justice Samuel Alito said the decision applied only to abortion. But critics of the court’s conservative majority gave the statement no credence. “I don’t buy that at all,” said Lawrence Gostin, a professor of medicine at Georgetown University and faculty director of its Institute for National and Global Health Law.

Where abortion is concerned, Alabama just became a different state — not only compared to its former self, but to other areas of America. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision guaranteeing a federal right to abortion, Alabama has outlawed the practice — with one exception. The process began in 2019, when Gov. Kay Ivey signed the Alabama Human Life Protection Act. As noted by WBRC, “The law made performing an abortion at any stage of pregnancy a felony unless the mother’s health was in danger. It did not provide any exceptions for rape or incest.” However, a preliminary injunction was imposed against the ban.
