Ted Cruz Owns Democrats in Gun Violence
Hearing: 'Three Propositions on Which

When Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz is on it, he is on it. Cruz is at his best on Tuesday during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on H.R.350 — The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022 — yet another politically expedient bill, ushered through Nancy Pelosi’s House in the aftermath of the Buffalo supermarket mass shooting in early May. As Cruz begins his comments, he lays out three basic propositions on which, he said, Republicans and Democrats alike should be able to agree. There are 3 propositions that should bring Senate Democrats and Republicans together: 1: Violent crime is unacceptable and should be punished severely. 2: Hate is wrong.

Comments:

I know some conservatives aren't fans of Cruz, but we need guys like him, particularly in the Senate.

Daaayyaamm! He hooked, gutted, and fileted the vicious Democrats and stuffed them with their own racist KKK-Crow past, and did it "for the record!" Go Ted, go!

FTA: And I also think today’s congressional Democrats try to use the charge of white supremacy which is undoubtedly evil, bigoted, and wrong, and weaponized by their own party, they try to use that as a proxy for attacking a political party they disagree with. And they do so by diminishing anti-Jewish violence, anti-Asian violence, violence directed at white people, violence directed at police. Democrats, law enforcement and the media do everyone a disservice by not stating who is committing the overwhelming majority of the hate crimes against Asians. As it's insinuated it's being done by white people.

I would like to mention that while Hate IS wrong, it should not be illegal. If I commit a crime, then punish me for the crime, not the thought of it.

Look what happened to Australia when the good people handed in their firearms around 2004. Shooting deaths increased by almost 200%. If you don't believe me you can read about this from a report by the Fraser Institute.

We’re not supposed to notice that the collectivist actions of one nation’s socialist party just happen to mimic the actions of other nation’s socialist parties or one particular National Socialist German Workers’ Party, that’s just a coincidence, don’t pay any attention to that. Have you ever noticed that our esteemed national socialist media spends an inordinate amount of time attacking anyone who dares to compare their collectivist actions to other collectivists? Have you also noticed that you can be sure a socialist nation has failed when our nation’s socialist media suddenly decides that it was somehow, someway ‘right-wing’?

In what conservatives will surely label a “sell-out” by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Senate Minority Leader on Thursday “encouraged” Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) to work with Senate Democrats to “find a consensus on some legislation to respond to the shooting in Texas.” Translation: Gun-control legislation. As reported by CNN, McConnell met with Cornyn early Thursday and encouraged the senior senator from Texas to begin discussions with key Democrats, including Sens. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, to see if they can find a middle ground on legislation.

On Wednesday, Beto O’Rourke disrupted the press conference of Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas officials to appeal to people on the left and look as though he was doing something about mass shootings in his run for governor. But it didn’t go over well, rightly being termed a crass political stunt by many, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), one of the officials who were on the stage having to address the tragedy. Beto did get some positive press from the liberal media including from CNN’s Chris Cillizza, saying now was the time to use “political momentum” for gun control. It just showed how

Two recent news items illustrating the ongoing implosion of the Democratic Party were essentially passed over by their communications department – aka the mainstream media – and the news speaks volumes to how far the party of JFK and FDR has fallen. Despite having virtually every major television network, newspaper, and online news outlet in their pocket, Democrats are being out-fundraised by Republicans, and their party’s leader, President Joe Biden, continues to see some of the worst polling results at this point in his presidency in the history of polling. According to the Washington Examiner yesterday, fundraising by

The more we listen to and watch Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis speak, the more impressive he is. His skill set, which was partially developed at both Harvard and Yale, is beyond anything we’ve seen from a Democrat in years. DeSantis’ manner of speaking is commanding but calm. He’s assertive without being overly abrasive. He almost always cites facts and data when making his points, something Democrats almost never do, and as a result, he’s persuasive. DeSantis has a gift. But one of the most impressive aspects of DeSantis’ public speaking skills is his ability to move to and from various topics without coming across as scatterbrained.

Two things inevitably follow a mass shooting. For one, the shooter becomes a celebrity. I don’t like it any more than you do but there’s something about evil that great that draws people into wanting to know more. Why did they do it? What drove them there? What kind of lends did they see the world through? All of these questions course through the minds of anyone who hears about killers. The other inevitability is that it will immediately be looked at by politicians, media figures, and activists as tools. One should never let a crisis go to waste, and true to form,

The House passed a bill for $40 billion in weapons and other aid to Ukraine and the war effort on Tuesday. That was $7 billion on top of what Joe Biden had asked for and on top of the $13.6 billion that was passed last month. Joe Biden said they needed more because they had already spent everything. While 57 Republicans voted against the new bill for $40 billion, most voted for it. It still has to go through the Senate. Congress had already passed a bill that gave Joe Biden the right to provide virtually anything out of our own stockpiles to Ukraine.

It wasn’t that long ago when the left’s narrative on ‘gay rights’ was simple, straightforward, and easy to support: Let’s all be tolerant of one another, live and let live, and don’t discriminate. Tolerance is, after all, one of the fundamental tenets of the philosophy which drove America’s founding. But as the saying goes, “give someone an inch and they’ll take a mile,” which is the situation in which we find ourselves today. The message of ‘tolerance’ eventually morphed into ‘acceptance.’ At some point late in the Obama Administration, our culture decided that it was inadequate to merely tolerate the shenanigans of the LGBTQ community, we needed to welcome them.

Everyone has an opinion, and the pundits are competing in the expertise sweepstakes. What can we say with some degree of plausibility? The Democrat roster is, by all accounts, dramatically uninspiring. Biden, who speaks in tongues, is plainly beyond redeeming; the question is whether he will manage to survive the year, let alone stumble, lollop, and whiffle to the end of his first term.
