The more we listen to and watch Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis speak, the more impressive he is. His skill set, which was partially developed at both Harvard and Yale, is beyond anything we’ve seen from a Democrat in years.
DeSantis’ manner of speaking is commanding but calm. He’s assertive without being overly abrasive. He almost always cites facts and data when making his points, something Democrats almost never do, and as a result, he’s persuasive. DeSantis has a gift. But one of the most impressive aspects of DeSantis’ public speaking skills is his ability to move to and from various topics without coming across as scatterbrained.

Two things inevitably follow a mass shooting. For one, the shooter becomes a celebrity. I don’t like it any more than you do but there’s something about evil that great that draws people into wanting to know more. Why did they do it? What drove them there? What kind of lends did they see the world through? All of these questions course through the minds of anyone who hears about killers.
The other inevitability is that it will immediately be looked at by politicians, media figures, and activists as tools. One should never let a crisis go to waste, and true to form,

Brittney Griner had been one of the premier players in the WNBA. She is undeniably a blessed athlete, standing at 6’9” tall with remarkable coordination and agility for such a large athlete. She’s an Olympic gold medalist, a league champion, and has received scores of individual awards honoring her athletic achievements. And along with those physical blessings have come financial rewards as well, with Griner reportedly worth in excess of $3 million.
One might assume that someone like Brittney Griner would have been grateful for her gifts. For her natural size and abilities.

The astonishing Democrat tone-deafness regarding items of actual interest to Americans, coupled with the party’s utter disregard for human life’s value, reached a new high, or low if you prefer, on Wednesday. This transpired when Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), having freshly scolded her colleagues’ inability to recognize inflation’s devastating effect on their constituents, stated that inflation is abortion justification.
Porter’s comment came during an MSNBC appearance.
As previously reported by Jennifer Van Laar, Porter was on the receiving end of mockery from her fellow representatives after laying out for them, based on her first-hand experience, how much inflation is impacting the working families Democrats allegedly champion.

The House passed a bill for $40 billion in weapons and other aid to Ukraine and the war effort on Tuesday. That was $7 billion on top of what Joe Biden had asked for and on top of the $13.6 billion that was passed last month. Joe Biden said they needed more because they had already spent everything.
While 57 Republicans voted against the new bill for $40 billion, most voted for it. It still has to go through the Senate.
Congress had already passed a bill that gave Joe Biden the right to provide virtually anything out of our own stockpiles to Ukraine.

Crime is skyrocketing across the country, especially in cities and states run by Democrats, particularly violent crime.
In Philadelphia, a dubious record was set last year with a total of 562 homicides and is on a similar pace this year (spoiler alert – if Philly is able to avoid exceeding last year’s mark and 2022 becomes only their second deadliest year ever, Democrats and their media will be trumpeting their wonderful results). Things have gotten so bad in San Francisco, the most leftwing city in the country, that leftist D.A. Chesa Boudin is facing a recall, thanks to his soft-on-crime approach and the carnage it has caused.

California State University, Northridge wants its attendees to understand the importance of pronouns.
Therefore, via its University Student Union’s Pride Center, the school has dedicated a webpage to “Why Pronouns Matter for Everyone.”
“Jump-start the learning curve,” it says, “by educating yourself.”
CSUN tells cisgender students not to make their peers do work that’s on them:
Don’t make your Transgender and Nonbinary peers do all the work in pronoun education. You can jump-start the overall learning curve by educating yourself and boosting our reach with others around you.
Awareness is key:
Without realizing it, we use pronouns all the time.

One of the character flaws that tend to afflict many Hollywood celebrities is an utter lack of self-awareness, and Joy Behar of ABC’s The View gave us a perfect example on Tuesday. Reacting to the leaked document from the Supreme Court indicating that the landmark Roe V. Wade case enshrining a woman’s right to abortion is about to be overturned, Behar stated the following:
“Women in the world have conducted sex strikes in history. In 2003, a sex strike helped to end Liberia’s brutal civil war. The woman who started it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

There must not be all that much journalisming that needs to be happening at CNN right now, even despite the CNN+-induced layoffs, as Brian “The Potato” Stelter, decided that he had the time to write a book and try and go after FNC host Sean Hannity in it.
In fact, there’s a part of the book that seems especially reserved for trying to slam Sean Hannity, with a story that tries to make Hannity look like a jerk.
In reality, it makes Mr. Potatohead look like an absolute wimp and Hannity like a gigachad, as was pointed out on Twitter:

Things got pretty weird, pretty quickly in the wake of Elon Musk’s trial balloon about buying Twitter, a deal that went through Monday, much to the chagrin of the progressive chattering class who were super duper certain the Tesla and SpaceX boy genius was just foolin’ for fun.
Poor NPR, for example, forced to aggregate what Musk might actually do with his new toy (and, to be fair, they pulled from his own public statements), characterizes the sale this way:
“[T]he world’s richest person who has a penchant for theatrics and erratic behavior is about to have the power to reshape discourse

Big Tech suppression of right-wing content is obvious to anyone paying attention but is difficult to prove. We see the evidence on our Twitter and Facebook feeds, but the driving forces behind what pops up on our devices are the clandestine algorithms that are meticulously maintained and well-guarded by the information gatekeepers at these leftist companies. The results we see are hidden within the programming used to spit out what we consume on these sites.
Censorship, however, is different from suppression, though equally problematic. And censorship is measurable.
A terrific recent examination of this issue by The Media Research Center focused on the censorship of unfavorable content concerning President Joe Biden

The breakdown of civil society continues. Over the last several years, we’ve seen mass riots, increased violence on airplanes, soaring murder rates, a rise in road rage incidents, and more. The latest: New York Yankees fans Saturday pelted Cleveland Guardians players with trash and empty beer cans at the tail end of a routine and frankly unimportant game in New York.
While the violence didn’t approach the level of 2004’s Detroit’s infamous Malice in the Palace, it was still pretty ugly. According to the NY Post:
In an extraordinary scene, Gleyber Torres’ walk-off single was immediately overshadowed by altercations in the outfield
Comments:
The best governor in the country.
