Sen. Chris Murphy on Sunday said a bipartisan group of senators is “closer than ever before” to coming up with a gun-reform package, but acknowledged it will not include an assault weapons ban or comprehensive background checks. The Connecticut Democrat, who has been involved in the negotiations with his colleagues across the aisle, said he hasn’t seen gun talks as “serious” as those underway now since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School 10 years ago. He said Democrats and Republicans have agreed to take some “commonsense steps” while still upholding Americans’ Second Amendment rights —

There are more than enough gun laws on the books now, that are not being enforced. This is just total harassment of gun owners and more useless petty gun laws to punish people that disagree with the anti gun movement. Stop it now!

If they manage to squeak by with 10 traitorous RINOs that is not bipartisan.
That is the Uniparty at work.
November can't come soon enough.

These doofus gun control fanatics are wasting their time but they are obligated to "do something" so it doesn't look like they are powerless hand-wringers. They will probably end up with nonsense like age limits and magazine capacity rules, which will make the existing equipment more valuable but it will not save one life. I should probably buy that bulk ammo now before the price increases.

So, the next time some urban gang member with a long criminal record violates this law, what do they plan on doing to him that they are not doing, now?
This is nothing but an election year stunt for the purpose of distracting voters from high inflation, rising energy costs, food/grocery shortages, supply chain disruptions, border chaos, drug smuggling, human trafficking, rising crime rates, most of which are self-inflicted by inept Biden policies.

Now is the time to start rolling back these unconstitutional 'gun laws'. Starting with the NFA 34 and the GCA 68 nonsense.

Let's see how many senators that are trying to impose additional new firearm restrictions are up for reelection. We need the names of all the GOP senators who are willing to go along with this. Since senators have long terms I suspect that none of the GOP senators involved in this "gotta do something now" movement are up for reelection.

Whatever these clowns come up with, won't be any different or worse than what we in Maryland have to go through to get a handgun license.

Criminals and terrorists could care less what gun control laws that the UniParty Congress passes, as they are not going to obey those laws in any case. The only people who will be further inconvenienced, as always, will be law abiding gun owners.

Not banning black guns of a specific caliber or adding background checks so what is it? Loopholes it has to be loopholes that should stop those murderers using guns to kill. How about forget electric cars and bring back the electric chair. If you are a felon arrested with a gun you get fried in Old Sparky fast lane check out for repeat criminals.

Here comes the flood of whitewash..."“We’re talking about a meaningful change in our gun laws, a major investment in mental health, perhaps some money for school security, that would make a difference.”
The best investment in "mental health" would be to take away all the iPads and smartphones from anyone under the age of 30. Ban "helicopter parents"!

So, with the legal age to buy a firearm, likely raised to 21, which coincides with the legal age to buy recreational marijuana and alcohol, I would propose they also raise the legal age to vote to 21.
In fact, make that the legal age to become an adult in the eyes of the law, instead of 18, too.
You can carve out exceptions for those who joined the military at 18, to own a gun, for instance.

Too many restrictions already. NO MORE.
Time to roll back these infringements. "Shall not be infringed"......ALL gun restrictions are infringements.
