Disney to the rescue! President Joe Biden will finally break 120 days of self-imposed press silence Wednesday when he grants a sit down interview to Disney-owned ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
Their exchange will air at 11:35 pm in what has been been promised will be a malarkey-free zone.
Kimmel flagged the appearance Sunday during the broadcast of “Jimmy Kimmel Live: NBA Finals Game Night” on ABC, Variety reported.
He then took to social media to further promote the event, saying: “Our very elected President @JoeBiden visits @JimmyKimmelLive Wednesday night. No malarkey.”

So it's going to be a comedy routine masquerading as a press conference?

There was a day, years ago, when I never missed Kimmel---that was before he became a full fledged hypocrite and political zealot. No more. And I understand his ratings are zilch in any case.

I would bet my House that the "Live" interview was taped hours earlier! No way would Biden be awake at 11:30 PM!

Biden was not elected and if they feel the need to say "no malarkey" it is guaranteed to be ALL malarkey. Maybe it's a test run to see if Joe can put a sentence together for a daytime show. I won't give Kimmel one rating point, he's a moron so he's probably a good match for Joe.

I'm sure it will be taped... that way, all the gaffs can be edited out. And this doesn't count as a "press interview".

If there is a clearer illustration of what this administration has sunk to, I don’t know what it could be. Desperation and flop sweat on late night television.

I don’t think it’ll be intentionally silly. Kimmel will do his Mr. Outraged N. Sanctimonious routine, the one where he switches from Mr. Funtime Comedy Host to Republican-blaming partisan bore and gun control will be the topic after some obligatory joshing to soften the audience up a bit. The name “Hunter” will not be spoken. When Biden starts to become embarrassing, Kimmel will cover for him by putting words in his mouth and pretending not only to understand but to be in awe of Joe’s thoughts. The press will pretend the interview made TV history in a good way or, if Joe blows it (which is unlikely because it will be pre-taped and edited) the press will ignore it. But the bigger picture is that at a time when the country is in dire straights comparable to the 1930’s and citizens are truly worried or frightened the president decides his one outreach to the country is on a late night comedy show hosted by a partisan shill.

Other than FNC’s Peter Doocy, which “reporter” would ever ask a tough question of Biden? Our versions of the Soviet’s Pravda (the Truth) are why Corrupt and Demented Joe was able to defeat an incredibly successful incumbent without campaigning, so why would ABC, CBS and the rest undermine him now?
“Mr President, could you please tell us more about the ‘incredible transition’ you are conducting in order to end the climate crisis that is threatening world peace and prosperity?”

I do not watch Jimmy Kimmel's leftist propaganda show. A routine of messages and nasty sarcasm meant to hurt is not comedy. Like Twitter, most of Kimmel's audience is fake. Advertisers are getting the short stick.

This will give the dim loving audience a dose of schmoe. Since they all love him unthinkingly it won’t move the needle. But it could make them wonder “what’s that smell?”

Let me guess there will be a hand-picked studio audience. Kimmel and his unelected guest will have to film about 30 minutes to edit it down to 5 minutes of usable tape.
( I'm turning off the news until next Monday because I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.)

I commented yesterday that there was NO WAY that they'd let Idiot Joe do a live TV show. And now we find that this isn't "live", regardless of the lying name of the show, it will be recorded....and edited, and edited, and edited and edited, until they get something that is OK to release.
