Matthew McConaughey, a native of Uvalde, Texas, gave an emotional plea for gun reform from the White House on Tuesday, tearing up as he talked about the victims of the massacre in his hometown and called on lawmakers to think about their moral obligations instead of re-election.'We got to get some real courage and honor our mortal obligations instead of our party affiliations and enough with the counterpunching,' he said. 'We can't truly be leaders if we're only live in for reelection.'He continued: 'We've got to look in the mirror, lead with humility and acknowledge the values that are inherent to but also above politics.

Gun free school zones are a target rich environment Matt.
Get rid of this target rich environment and arm some of these teachers and/or faculty, or hire someone to guard these places.
The only viable defense for someone with a gun, is someone else with one.

If you cannot or will not understand the Second Amendment, it is you that has a problem. You are not enlightened. You are not smarter. You're arrogantly, smugly stupid. Ignorant people can learn, stupid is forever.

No Matt, I am not going to adopt half-stupid rather than full stupid. It's still stupid.
And to celebrities like this who want to completely disregard the facts on the ground and advocate Brony meme-thinking at the cost of true human safety, you disgust me.

Well joe has a fix for that!! He has put together “one of the greatest vote fraud teams ever”!! No more living for re-election! We’ve already been re-elected! The ballots are in the safe house! We’ve just gotta get 2000 mule team borax to leave their cell phones at home. You’re dismissed.

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."!!!
That quote has never been more true than for the 2nd Amendment!!!!

He sounds almost as dumb as Kamala Harris.
Memo to McConaughey: shut up, fool. You’re an actor. That’s all you are.

His heart is in the right place. The problem is, I don't trust the federal government to ever do anything in the best interests of the people. Giving up our only means of removing these halfwit tyrants from power would make us the dumbest people in the world. Get the criminals off the streets and into horribly filthy rat-infested prisons and get the mentally ill into secure facilities where then can't conduct mass killings and push ladies in front of subway trains. Shove your gun control. FJB

The way to truly be leaders in DC is to stand up on their hind legs and fight on behalf of their constituents instead of obeying people that act like they are someone else.

Sorry, Matty, that you can't recognize the problem. You and your ilk have been falsely claiming 'guns are the problem' for almost a century. Most of your commie fellow travelers are trying to disarm the people because they want to rule them, not because they give a rip about the 'chillren'. Maybe you're just stupid enough to fall for that line. Most Americans aren't.

I like to get all of my advice about life, politics, gun control, survival, food production, housing, energy, what car to drive, what doctor or medical advice to follow from movie stars, rock musicians, actors, writers etc. I'd trust my electrician, plumber and auto mechanic before I would follow any actors, dancers or ice cream makers about what to do and how to life.

Gun control? I don't think that we need gun control. I think that we need crazy, psychotic people control before we need gun control. Guns don't go off by themselves,....some crazy people are needed to aim the guns and pull the triggers. We need crazy people and crazy politicians control.
It's cheaper to lock up one person rather than bury 13 or more.
