A deranged gunman with a rifle and a handgun who killed four people at an Oklahoma medical building targeted a doctor who previously operated on him “and anyone who got in his way,” authorities said Thursday. The gunman, identified as Michael Louis, opened fire at about 5 p.m. Wednesday at an orthopedic office on the second floor of the Natalie Medical Building at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Police Chief Wendell Franklin told reporters at a press conference.
Louis, of Muskogee, went to the hospital on May 19 for back surgery, which was performed by Dr. Preston Phillips. Louis was later released on May 24, Franklin said.

We don't even know the shooter's name but the media has already performed a psychiatric evaluation and found him deranged. How did this deranged guy buy a gun? Where's the ATF in this?

A black gunman shot another black man? Read about it while you still can -- this will disappear from the news faster than a Dementia Joe brain freeze.

#3, right on. Can't wait to find out if the orthopedic surgeon was a triumph of the Affirmative-Action and Diversity-Inclusion-Equity programs.

Geez - the guy was operated on May 19th and released on May 24. He supposedly blamed the surgeon for his pain. That's hardly time to get over major surgery.

He had back surgery on May 19th, follow up appointment on the 24th, was ENRAGED because he was not "Pain Free"...or perhaps because the script for "pain Killers" was limited, he was only given percocet not Oxy? Or Fentynol ?

I guess Louis had never heard of Tylenol. That makes you feel better than an AR-15 (sometimes).

NY Post story has photos of victims and perp, and lots of detailed info. Gives the reader important information.
Per usual, CNN and MSNBC have very limited stories, no photos, and no details of perp and victims. They will most likely not report more details unless they feel forced to do so.
The agenda driven and misleading narratives of these so called media outlets is sickening and borders on criminal itself.

Dalgleish said Wednesday. “Right now, we have four civilians that are dead. We have one shooter that is dead.
How about, "Right now, we have four civilians who are dead. We have one shooter who is dead."
I now many people who would like to shoot their physicians out of their utter frustration while waiting, waiting, and more waiting for a return phone call from their doctor (or even from their doctor's office).
This is Obamacare, that continues destroying our health care system, and it's slowly but surely getting worse.
Thank you, John McCain, (despicable SOB!) for getting out of your sickbed in Arizona, traveling to DC, and casting the dispositive vote that prevented the repeal of Obamacare. All after you promised the public 1,000 times that you would repeal Obamacare if you ever had an opportunity to do so.

Back surgery is complicated and there is no guarantee it will solve whatever the problem the patient has. The article doesn't tell us what type of back surgery was done, but there will still be pain for a while after any back surgery. Seems this guy never gave the recovery period enough time for the body to heal. Muscles need time to heal and recover.

First, prayers and sympathy to all those who died.
As to back surgery, I remember an orthopedic surgeon told me years ago that it's 50-50 whether back surgeries are successful The problem is we don't which half is which.

Louis apparently didn’t realize that it can hurt for some time after back surgry.
Re OP comment, beware the ignorant - those who don’t have the intelligence and information to know they are not being intentionally harmed. This guy was ignorant to the max.
Famous surgeon Sherman Nuland haf to have back surgery. He wrote in his oook: “No surgeon can give you a new back…"

Those who read the article will see Dr Phillips and read that he was beyond being just an orthopedic surgeon; he was a highly qualified spinal surgeon. A read of the article also discloses that Louis’s wife is a family physician...

You people are missing the obvious here.
All of the dead are victims of the insane war on 'opiods' which the govenrment has gone back azzwards. As abusers of street drugs die from the fentanyl flowing from China to mexico, and across our southern border, by limiting legitimate pain medication for post surgical pain. (In the State of Ohio, physicians may prescribe just three days supply of opioids per patient, even after major surgery.) governments are killing patients.
I was denied adequate pain medication at a Health South rehab hospital, after my first back surgery, in 2002. I was, after 3 hours of medication wearing off, in extreme pain. The physician running the place said, no, no more medicine - you want to be retarded?
I never went back to Health South, but had 6 more back surgeries,, and always took my own pain medication with me, in case I ran into another physician so stupid. (I never had to use my supply, by the way. And the physician at Health South? He died the following year, age 60. I hope he wasn't in pain.)
Dementia Jo, his nameless HHS Secretary, and Rachel the tranny Levine should be looking at Tulsa to eliminate the rx limitation madness.
But they won't.

His wife is apparently a physician! Wouldn't she be able to clue him in?!? Crazy. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time....those poor people. Also, he apparently had just purchased one of the guns....isn't there any waiting period/background check required in Oklahoma??

My ex father in law was a city truck driver in Chicago for many years. The older he got the more back pain he had. We urged my mil to take him to the Dr and get pain meds but she said then he’ll be addicted!! We’d reply who cares? No one should live like that. He’s passed but I know his last years were agony. Life is different after a bad back.

second post apologies, but, #19, it would have been unethical, perhaps illegal, for his wife to prescribe pain medication to her husband.
And people who are at maximum pain are difficult to reach, even for a spouse..
Physicians, to prescribe pain medication (controlled substances) have to have a federal DEA number, and if they are deemed to be writing 'too many' of those prescriptions, they may be sanctioned by the DEA and have their permit suspended.
