President Biden said the Second Amendment is "not absolute" in a speech Thursday following a wave of mass shootings across the nation, pleading with to Congress to pass what he called "commonsense" gun control legislation, including reinstating an assault weapons ban, requiring background checks, and limiting magazine capacity.
The president, speaking from the Cross Hall of the White House, told Americans that the issue of restricting access to guns "is one of conscience and common sense."
"For so many of you at home, I want to be very clear – this is not about taking away anyone's guns," the president said. "It is not about vilifying gun owners. In fact,

FTA, "the Second Amendment, like all other rights, is not absolute." " Yes, Diaper Joe's words. So the 5th amendment isn't absolute. The 8th amendment can come and go depending on the political prisoner. We know Democrats hate the 1st Amendment. Look how they persecute Christians and Jews (never a Muzzie). Does this mean we can limited women's right to vote? Does this mean we can limit 18 ears the right to vote? The only good side is if Diaper Joe limits the income tax (The only thing more assured in life, more than death, is democrats raising taxes). These are the words of a megalomanic dictator. Diaper Joe has always been stupid. Probably more stupid that Barbie Boxer. And he is the Webster's definition of a bully. But now he believes amendments are more like suggesting and can be used like mere guidelines. Sadly, the entire Democrat party believes this as well.

FTA: "Pointing to the 2022 Midterm Elections, Biden said that he believes "the majority of you will act to turn your outrage into making this issue central to your vote.""
The outrage is probably true but not the way he thinks. This issue also goes beyond voting, as it is a fundamental right that is not subject to political whims. The Constitution did not allow President Washington to decide what was absolute and what wasn't; can anyone imagine Biden having that prerogative?

He took an oath, "... to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States"....as written, as ratified, as lawfully and legislatively amended in years past.
As such he "Shall make no law...Shall not Infringe"
This ain't that.

The Founders, who were quite familiar with HISTORY, wanted to make quite sure that Federal government could NOT confiscate or interfere with the Peoples’ guns, hence the wording of the 2nd Amendment. THey KNEW what SOME politicians could attempt. Perhaps Captain Demento is looking to rile up enough folks to allow him to declare an “emergency.” He’ll know what a real emergency is if he tries to restrict Americans’ rights.
This is true desperation and political posturing. Exactly what we expect from Captain Demento as his polls go into the toilet, and deservedly so.

Schmoe does what he does best- talk about “passing a bill” that does nothing and blaming the scape goat du jour.
Then he calls it a weekend and heads to his mansion on the beach- better hurry since global warming will cause the oceans to rise and wash it out to sea.
I just saw an 1898 and today picture of the statue of liberty taken from the water. The water level looked lower today than in 1898. But you better get to the beach schmoe.

To the extent that the Second Amendment is “not absolute” is a question for the Supreme Court, not Joe Biden.

Biden doesn’t think the First Amendment is absolute either.
He took his pen and phone and all by himself he created the Dept of Homeland Security’s “DISINFORMATION GOVERNANCE BOARD,” headed up by that twit Nina Jankowicz.
It would not surprise me if he didn’t try the same thing with gun control.

#23, if your neighbors come at you with axes, a common tool, you would want an effective firearm, wouldn't you? Because if you are ok with some rat deciding guns are too dangerous for people outside government, you won't have one, but your neighbors will still have their axes, and if they are criminal types, they will also have guns. Plus anyone can make lethal bombs and poison gas with things used for farming, transport and household cleaning. Your concerns are a strong case for being armed with guns you are comfortable using safely and effectively. NO elected slob has the right to tell citizens that they can not use deadly force to protect themselves and others.

Turns out Nothing is absolute.
Our right to own a gun.
Our right to free speech.
Our right to not be locked in our homes for a year.
Our right to not take a mystery vaccine and life long boosters.
...
We haven't even learned yet all the rights that we don't really have.

Common sense laws I never heard of that one like 'close the loopholes' that's always been a good one after a mass murder. As a citizen of these great United States, I already have the right to bear any weapons I choose, whether or not the pResident agrees, for these reasons:
1. to serve as a deterrent to an over-tyrannical state, an inalienable right the 2nd Amendment was intended to protect:
2. to serve in my own self-defense: in this regard, I should have the right to bear exactly the same armaments as those available to the Secret Service that protects the POTUS...unless the POTUS is somehow worth more than me.
3. as a hobby or sport (hunting, target shooting, collecting, etc.)
4. for any other reason I choose, so long as wanton murder and destruction ain't among them, because, Freedom.

The Second Amendment may not be "absolute," but it does require an amendment to the United States Constitution to change it. The origin of the Second Amendment goes back to 1775, when hundreds of British troops were sent to Concord, Massachusetts, in order to seize weapons and ammunition stockpiled there by American colonists. If they had succeeded, the American colonists would have been helpless against the British army, preventing the Revolution from taking place. The Second Amendment was intended to prevent a tyrannical future government from doing what the British tried to do in 1775.
In case you have not noticed, seize weapons and ammunition from the people is what is being proposed. If seizing weapons and ammunition worked to prevent killings by criminals and deranged people, Chicago would be peaceful. Instead it leads in killings.

It's all so stupid, how can he call any of it "commonsense" with a straight face? If you have a handgun that holds 15 rounds, how much longer does it take to load and shoot two magazines of 7 rounds each? One second, maybe. We have millions of semi-auto rifles out here that hold 30-round magazines. Same timing goes. Faster if you tape two of them back to back.
Here's an idea, Joe. Leave honest citizens alone and take away guns from felons. Even better, put felons in prison or insane asylums.

Whether everyone agrees or not, the American citizens are currently at war with their government. Everything Joe and his stooge army have done is contrary to our best interests, including stealing the election to seize power. Would you let your enemy dictate to you what kind of weapons you could use on the battlefield? Me neither. If we cave in to this dictatorial madness in the name of "commonsense" we will be sorry for years to come.
