Mark Esper tells all to 60 Minutes

When you think of everything that's gone wrong with the U.S. military -- from its wokester agenda, to its failure to contain Russia, to its breakdown in discipline, to the presence of Gen. Mark Milley on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, pretty much all of it has the name of Mark Esper, President Trump's former defense secretary, all over it.
Rather than slink off into obscurity after such a performance, if not back to the big-bucks war-machine defense-contractor lobby whence he sprang, he's out shilling a tell-all book and promoting it on 60 Minutes in a bid to discredit the man he purportedly "served," President Trump.

Pretty bad timing for a swamp snake to slither out with an irrelevant book that details everything the author did wrong. He’s outed himself as a self-serving backstabber who will get a day or two of fawning liberal media coverage before he is forced back under his rock. His book is probably already on the clearance rack along with Ms. Biden’s life story.

These disgusting fops are insane with jealousy and treason. Not one of them, to include Mattis could carry President Trumps golf shoes.

While it may be a bit of putting the cart before the horse, President Trump needs to think long and hard about the people he brings in to Washington if he does decide to run and does win in 2024. He's only got four years (no second term as this would be his second term) and needs to hit the ground running.
The deep state in DC isn't going to slink away this time either. But this time, we've been warned.
President Trump needs to have his people ready on January 20, 2025 to start walking into offices at 12:01 pm and sending people home for good. Heck, skip the inauguration balls for a couple weeks and clean up the joint. Anyone who can be fired should be fired day 1, including late "civil service" political appointees like Emperor Obama installed back in 2016-2017.

Interesting that a slimy military reptile such as Esper is from the same hometown as one of America’s greatest military heroes: Uniontown, Pa , hometown of George C Marshall, he of the Marshall Plan that revitalized post-war Europe. I’ll bet the folks in Uniontown won’t be buying Mark a Yuengling next time he goes home.

I absolutely agree PDJT should have his people (including Cabinet) in place before he returns.
However, it is SLIM pickins’ to think of enough people who are not Swamp Rats.
(My personal list of trust-worthies has only 4-5 names.)

Another instance of an establishment swamp creature DC insider undercutting the elected President of the USA who the so-called DC UniParty establishment considered to be a know nothing outsider. The first question should be asked as exactly who was behind lobbying Trump to appoint Esper as the Secretary of Defense and Miley as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? You can bet that it was prominent DC establishment Republicans!
Beyond that, Esper is a big time military-industrial complex man. So of course he will claim that he is happy with Biden, as Biden is directing tens of billions of dollars to the military-industrial complex to manufacture all sorts of war materials and weapons to replace U.S. military war material and weapons that have been handed over to Ukraine, and to backfill or replace all the Soviet era and other war stocks and weapons that the NATO countries have handed over to Ukraine, with modern U.S. made war materials and weapons.

Said he couldn't resign for the good of the country, that he couldn't risk a Trump yes man succeeding him. So good to know that we have a plethora of career DC bureaucrats always on call to circumvent the will of the people.

"Kiss and tell" is not a very good career move and doesn't bode well for future employment. What these morons like Barr, Esper, and others don't "get" is that for all his foibles, we LIKE Donald Trump for bringing a non-DC attitude to DC and shaking up the status quo... A LOT! Populism is taking control and the embedded revolving door bureaucrat-politician-government-industry complex just can't abide by that. Pound sand Esper.

Well the freak has nowhere else to go. The Trump camp- which values success- will not value him. So he has to go to the camp that will throw him scraps for claiming to have been against Trump. I suspect the scraps will be very thin.

this worm is another comrade doctor fauci and the question arises: who promoted him to our President for appointment to SecDef, I'm beginning to suspect mike pence but, who really knows
- it is the most illogical thing I have ever seen to have so many people be disloyal to the greatest, pro- America President in our country's history, aside from George Washington

The reason that Trump sometimes ended up hiring the wrong people after he got to DC is that he was essentially a one man show having to depend on the Establishment and UniParty DC career wimpy Republicans for hiring advise. If Trump were to release a list of the wimpy establishment Republicans who made hiring recommendations to him while he was President who have turned out to be snakes in the grass, it would become clear as to which wimpy Republicans recommended people to Trump who were covertly and purposefully adverse to Trump and his so-called Make America Great Again political agenda. Hopefully, if Trump runs again in 2024 he will have learned that lesson.

There is a good episode of Cheyenne, the old western TV show with Clint Walker which is fairly similar to the whole Trump-goes-to-Washington craziness, although the Cheyenne character, while as blameless and honest as Trump isn't personally like Trump.
If you get a chance, watch the episode "The Vanishing Breed", . Just perfect example of politics in action, with actor Roy Roberts playing the perfect sophisticated state Senator (McConnell?) who is a backstabbing criminal and murdering slimeball at heart. Season 7 Episode 9.
They even impeach him unfairly in a political railroad job.

It is astounding how many treasonous rats entered Trump's barn - ore stayed behind after Obama left. Trump's biggest mistake was not firing every appointee in Washington DC on Day One.

We who give a damn now know that PDJT basically had to depend on help from jealous, corrupt, and pathetic deep state RINO's like McConnell, Hatch and Graham for advice on the inner workings of the DC swamp. As such he wound up with duds like Preibus, Tillerson, Maddox, Barr, and this latest clown Esper. Next time around he needs to fire everyone in all of the departments wholesale. Pink slips on day one right down to the WH trash collectors. He can then hire me as his WHPS. I'd give the fake news fits.
