The day after Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, Democratic donors poured more than $30 million into Democratic campaigns and groups through ActBlue, shattering its own one-day fundraising records. In the 23 hours after POLITICO reported a draft Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade, ActBlue took in just $9 million — just a small uptick from the days prior. CThe modest totals, which reached $12 million by midnight on Tuesday, based on a POLITICO analysis of the ActBlue donation tracker, are an early sign that Democrats can’t count on abortion to single-handedly turn around a midterm cycle that’s already trending badly for them. To most Americans (even most Democrats), inflation, the price of gas, and crime are more pressing issues than a Constitutional right to kill unborn children -- especially since abortion will still continue unchecked in the states that want it.

The vast majority of Americans, whether Dem or Pub, are basically fair-minded citizens. But the illegitimacy of this president, every single cabinet pick, the Supreme Court and all the alphabet agencies who've sullied their reputations over the past several administrations STINK ON ICE and we all know it. The air is thick with the funk of rot and we are in a fumigating mood. OUT - out damned spots!

Why would SCOTUS save Democrats - the Dems can still abort, rather then control there behavior or use birth control. Nothing has change, just move from one government to another.

Prior to Roe the abortion issue was left to the states. The commies had already legalized fetus murder in New York and California, but they were not interested in a long political fight through each state. Roe was a manufactured case, as the real "Roe" Norma McCorvey later admitted after her conversion to Catholicism. Roe was a political device to short-circuit state's rights. Its taken 50 years for the state's to claw back that right and they are on the precipice of winning, therefore the Dems must resort to street theater populated by their indentured class of college students. Just like the pussy hat march, the optics of young women screaming against any restriction on killing their babies is not going to play well in Peoria. Americans are much more aware of the Left's machinations than they were 50 years ago. We've experienced Astro-turfing and recognize the signs of manufactured outrage. The rebels of the '60s have become the establishment, while morality and tradition are the new insurgents. God works in mysterious ways. "Behold, I make all things new."

Inflation will kill the Democrats in the November election. As when the American people visit the grocery store or gas up their motor vehicles those inflationary factors is hitting Americans directly right between their eyes, and those adverse inflationary factors will be considered to be all on Biden!

President Eisenhower, in his final address to the nation, uttered words that will remain relevant for ages. The following is a key excerpt from that speech:  “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. ”The military-industrial complex that Eisenhower was referring to is the nefarious alliance between governments, arms manufacturers, arms dealers, and mercenaries.

How do you end up caught off-guard, as WaPo says Team Biden was, by a Supreme Court ruling? Did they somehow miss the news that hearings were held in the Dobbs case six months ago? Did they … not anticipate that a 6-3 conservative Court might seize the opportunity to overturn Roe? The Biden White House seems forever late in responding to events. They were still pushing Build Back Better last fall after public anxiety over inflation had begun to rise. Stephen Breyer’s retirement seemed all but assured this year given the electoral reality of the midterms yet it still took Biden and his crew weeks to interview candidates before settling

The financial network seems confused as to why companies might have little interest in raising a toxic topic such as abortion. A detail in the corporate realm that has always baffled me is the way companies have been so willing to wade out into the tall grass of social issues when the rationale behind not ginning up controversy would seem obvious. Not only are you at the risk of driving off customers, but so often, there are blatant examples to cite of other operations suffering as a result of this needless gambit. This week — so far, at least — it appears that most corporations have wisely decided to remain taciturn

Chief Justice John Roberts commented for the first time publicly about the leak of the draft opinion on the abortion case out of Mississippi in which the majority of the justices voted to send all abortion decisions back to the states for voters to sort out. If the draft decision holds, it would wipe from the books the Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood decisions. At a federal judicial conference in Atlanta on Thursday, Roberts described the leak by a Supreme Court employee as “absolutely appalling.” According to CNN, Roberts told the gathering that it was “foolish” if “the person or people” who leaked the draft opinion thought

Commitments range from $1 billion from Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison to $5 million from Honeycomb Asset Management, which invested in SpaceX. Faber added that Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey may back it, and Musk is talking to him about the possibility of

At practically any point in the past 15 years, I would have told you that SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade would be a major factor in the next election, whenever that election happened to be. But inflation was a remote prospect in America during those 15 years. Almost a myth. As it is, I’ve begun to wonder if rising prices might end up achieving something I would have otherwise thought impossible. They may “Roe-proof” the midterms for Republicans. This CNN poll is so gory for Biden and his party that it should be rated NC-17: Only 23% rate economic conditions as even somewhat good, down from 37% in December and 54% last April.

The Supreme Court’s potential decision to overrule Roe v. Wade certainly did not prompt Democrat voters to turn up at Ohio’s midterm primaries on Tuesday. The House Democrat’s campaign chief Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) announced after Politico’s bombshell report on Monday night that abortion will “now” become the “central choice” in the November midterms and claimed that “only Democrats will protect our freedoms.” But despite the Democrat Party’s attempt to rile their base over the supposed “right” to end the lives of unborn children, Republican voters doubled Democrat voters in the Ohio gubernatorial primary just a day after the Supreme Court’s potential ruling was leaked.

Allahpundit covered this question earlier today and his is the most even-handed take on the competing arguments I’ve seen. If you haven’t read it you should read the whole thing, but the very short version is this. The leak could have come from a progressive looking to pressure the court to change its decision or, alternatively, it could have come from a conservative looking to lock the court in to the arguments in the draft decision. Both arguments sound plausible to me but I have to say that my first impulse was exactly the same as Allahpundit’s. Last night I assumed it is was the work of someone on the left,

A survey by Quinnipiac University shows crime is the top concern of 49 percent of city voters — more than triple the 15 percent of respondents who cited affordable housing and 12 percent homelessness. However just 37 percent of city residents approved of Adams’s performance on crime, compared to 54 percent who disapproved. This is a reversal from the 49 percent who approved and 35 percent who disapproved in a survey as recently as last February.
