Embattled Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn responded Wednesday night to a video circulating on social media showing him naked and thrusting his pelvis at another man's head. The video was first published by American Muckrakers PAC, a political group that runs the Fire Madison Cawthorn website, ahead of North Carolina's May 17 primary. Soon after, it started circulating widely on Twitter, according to WRAL. David B. Wheeler, president of the PAC, said in a statement that the video was 'passed to us by a former supporter' of Cawthorn but would not name the source. It shows Cawthorn, 26, screaming and chanting as he started thrusting against an unknown man's face.

So what if the guy is a gay man or fits within some other LGBTOI category, the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats should love that!

If you want to be in politics, it pays to NEVER do anything 'they' can use against you...NEVER...because that stuff NEVER goes away...even if you try to delete it, unless of course you are a dumbocrap...they get away with anything...

I believe his day is over. There is one 'leak' about him after the other and nothing good. End of story he does not conduct himself like a Republican. We don't have to sink to the level of the lefty trash!

I have friends. Sometimes we get a bit crass and off color and have a good laugh. But I never wanted to get naked with them or video the episode. Didn't he and his wife divorce after 8 months of marriage (waiting for one of those "friends" to spill the beans about their marriage). I hope I am wrong but it appears there are issues with this young man and rightly or wrongly these issues might catch up with him. On the surface none of it looks good. Especially if you have to constantly explain each story that pops up. The primary is in less than two weeks. He's not in a good position but you never can tell.

Why would a conservative run for public office with this in their background. They have to know it will be outed at a most inopportune time. A democrat doesn't have to worry, such as this is just a resume enhancement.

Are there any Tarheel Ldotters who can give us the real story on this guy? He stood up from his wheel chair for the national anthem. OK, great. Very patriotic gesture that would impress the Greatest Generation but we need more than that. I tended to doubt the ex-staffer who first warned us about the guy but haven't since heard anything positive to refute that claim.

I don't care about any of this. If the other party doesn't care, I certainly don't. And dressing in women's clothes? Don't care about that either. Being gay or not being gay? Don't care.
The guy didn't drive a car off a bridge and allow a woman to die -- and then have the nerve to serve in the US Senate and run for POTUS. He didn't harass women in the Oval Orifice. He didn't lie under oath.
And he isn't Pierre Delecto or John McCain. So I don't care.

Do any of his critics talk about his policy preferences, what he stands for (and against) in the House, or are they just riled up by tabloid photos that somehow convince them that he is not a Republican?
That there has been a pretty active campaign to get rid of him and replace him tells me he must have hit some targets along the way.

For a guy in a wheelchair, he sure gets around. Isn't there cruise ship footage of him participating in some kind of game while wearing women's lingerie?
I will never understand why people, especially people with aspirations for a public life, behave like idiots ... and on camera yet.

Normally, the Deep State woud keep this hidden and threaten him with it, to make him dance to their tune.
I don't know what to think of the motives behind releasing it, at this time.

From time to time, someone on here expresses the thought, "Normally the Deep State..." or some other variation which suggests that the Deep State is a monolith controlled by a single individual or a group. The Deep State is NOT a monolith, nor is it controlled by a conspiracy. The Deep State is an amorphous group of people who have gotten themselves inside the apparatus of government and have begun to think that makes them better than everybody else. They tend to share the same ideology and motivations. For the most part they have self-interests which align. Don't make the mistake of thinking that their actions are carefully coordinated. While their actions are coordinated, it is only in a loose, mostly informal, way,

#13, Cauthorn needs to go. His is not mentally stable—obviously. There are some good conservatives running in the primary against him and he needs to lose.
I feel bad for him, but there is something not ‘right’ about Madison.
But RINOS like Thom Tillis need to just shut up and stay out of it. People like Tillis stay silent on Democrats, but jump on any Republican they don’t like. The liking on by Tillis and others may actually re-elect Cauthorn…. Sadly.

I voted for Cawthorn here in NC the first time. He's young and foolish. I don't care if he's gay. However, his hypocrisy is stunning, given that he came out recently and said members of Congress were inviting him to orgies (and he acted shocked, like he was above all of that.). Our Founders intended being a Rep or Senator to be an act of service, AFTER, the person had already become successful in life. It was never intended to be a career. Cawthorn at 26 has had no success of his own. He's trying to make politics a career and make that his success. This will end badly for him.
