On one level, the claim by media personality Piers Morgan that Donald Trump “stormed off” the set when he brought up the 2020 presidential election is just plain creepy.
But if the only side of the story you get is from Morgan trying to goose ratings for his new show — the side the mainstream media wants you to see — Trump comes off as an unhinged maniac. [Video]
But thankfully — in the interest of an accurate and complete historical record — the Trump team made an audio recording of the interview that, lo and behold, does not show the former president “storming” off the set.

The New York Post ran a big headline with this lie. Why didn’t they run a big headline to retract the lie?

I never liked or trusted Morgan. Hyper anti-gun jerk, among other stupid ideas that he holds.

President Trump is no fool and assumes that the media are not on his side and will not give him a fair shake. Therefore he takes precautions. Good for him. He is not asking for slavish agreement but just that they be fair and honest. Yet, that is just too much to ask. The media always has an axe to grind at PDT’s expense. The fact that these dishonest fools appear to hate this man like no other is a clear indication that they fear him. He is not perfect, but he is the one guy standing up to the absolute insanity of the left and is standing up for the country and us. He is a man of courage and why the Republican leadership cannot understand that is troubling at best and is betrayal of the American people at worst. Understand the truth that President Trump said; they are not really going after me, they hate you and I am standing in the way.

If Trump decides to run again (and I have my doubts ) I hope he’ll be less trusting of DC swamp creatures. They cannot be trusted.

And Trump didn't say there were good white supremacists either. This lie will live on, there is no correcting that which is first reported.

#6, it's not that the so-called Republican "leadership" CAN'T understand.. They understand perfectly that Trump is a threat to the Uniparty and their overflowing rice bowls. They can't have that. Trump must be eliminated so they can continue to lounge in the warm waters of the D.C. swamp. The Party needs a purge from the top down, especially McConnell and McCarthy.

I agree with #6 that President Trump is no fool, yet by consenting to do a pre-recorded interview with a publicity whore like Piers Morgan, who is trying to score a gig with Fox News, he opened himself up to the treatment he received. Trump should have known better and declined unless the interview was live. Once again the story is about a spat between Trump and a "journalist" rather than what Trump had to say. Young pundit Matt Walsh says that we do not need another occasion where yet again those who support Trump's policies find themselves defending him rather than taking it to the Democrats.
A huge problem with Trump is that he cannot seem to avoid the traps that are set for him by the biased media. Ron DeSantis would not have made this error. With the Democrats on the ropes and their hideous policies hugely unpopular we all, including Trump, need to be focused on taking our country back. No more screw ups like the Piers Morgan interview.

Of course, this says more about the Murdochs than Piers Morgan. We all know who Piers is, but even more need to wake up to what Fox News has become. Too many haven't learned from Chris Wallace's antics and hypocrisy. Since Roger Ailes left us, FNC [and even the Fox Nation 'diversion'], like CNN, is simply trying to milk a lost reputation.
Time for Tucker, Jessie, Shawn, Laura, Raymond, Jeanine, Harris, et al to bolt from the RINO never-Trump hosts and sign up with a MAGA network. Let Fox be Fox, and MAGA be MAGA.
Also true for GOP vs a new MAGA party. It's still not too late, but time is running out. MAGA types are smart enough to learn how to write-in, if necessary [as Murkowski showed us], if the UniParty keeps us off the printed ballots.

Nigel Farrage had it right...all along...and now with Newsmax available to tell the truth...it was discredited right away...and piers looks like a fool...kinda like Chris Wallace who is throwing tantrums because his new spot at CNN is falling apart...10,000 viewers is not worth talking about...perhaps he thought the fox viewers would follow him...surprise...they only watched because he was put in positions that would cover his posterior....now they know the truth...

I'd trust Trump with a bunch of foreign Frito Banditos before I'd trust Piers Morgan in a priest's collar. My black-sheep uncle would say of Morgan, he's a liar and his feet ain't mates.

Piers Morgan is a lying jersey trolling for ratings. Absolutely pathetic!! Thank God President Trump’s people had the foresight to record the interview on their own!
