A 69-year-old-woman in Florida remembers telling a home invader to “back off” before shooting him dead, she says, as she recalled the day of the alleged invasion.
The United States 2nd Amendment and Florida’s Stand Your Ground state law once again helped save two innocent lives, potentially; they certainly helped stop an alleged home burglary in progress.
“Back off, dude,” are the words Orange County-based homeowner Virginia Morrison recalled shouting at the man who broke into her house in an attempted but botched robbery, according to WESH.
“I fired a shot above him,” she recounted. “‘Back off, dude, I’ll shoot you.’ And he just keeps coming toward me. So I shot him.”

When you gotta go, you gotta go.
And this is something the people of Kingsland, Arkansas, are learning the hard way after a mural of Johnny Cash adorning the water tower in his hometown received the unwelcome attention of a prankster with excellent aim.
Now the mural has a bullet hole in a, er, “sensitive” area, and the high-pressure leak spewing from the tower makes it look like the “Man in Black” is relieving himself in the most indecent way possible.
“Somebody shot our water tower, shot the silhouette of Johnny Cash in a very sensitive area,”

A pregnant Florida woman found herself in “McTrouble” Thursday after a messed up fast food order drove her to become a twerking “hamburglar.”
Tiannis Jones, 22 of Lakeland, FL, had arrived at a local McDonald’s drive-thru Thursday to pick up an order placed online when she learned an error had occurred. Though the staff asked her to pull up to the next window while they corrected the mistake, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd explained that wasn’t acceptable to Jones who instead parked her car and entered the restaurant to complain face-to-face.
“She didn’t get her Happy Meal or her fish sandwich or her chocolate shake, or her sweet tea,

The Biden administration’s handling of the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is an ongoing disgrace, and recent reports suggest this White House still hasn’t reached rock bottom.
The White House is considering diverting doctors and other personnel from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to the border once Title 42 ends (at whatever point that may be), in order to help handle the expected influx of migrants.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed this possibility during testimony before the House Appropriations Committee late last month.
"The resources that the medical personnel from the Veterans Administration would allocate to this effort is under the judgment of the secretary of Veterans Affairs,

Until only a few years ago, child abuse was thought primarily to be hitting a child, starving a child, confining a child in a closet, not properly feeding a child, or engaging in sexual practices with a child. Now child abuse has taken a quantum leap. Child abuse now includes poisoning and mutilating a child to make him look like a member of the opposite sex, often by taking advantage of the child's trust in a parent.
Stealing a child's childhood should be a crime punishable by grievous measures. Every human being has normal stages of growth. Generally speaking, those stages are infancy,

The state of Florida recently issued an emergency order to suspend operations at a Pensacola abortion clinic after a pro-life watchdog group uncovered three incidents in the last nine months in which patients had to be hospitalized with serious injuries.
Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued an order on Friday closing American Family Planning until an administrative hearing can be held.
The order came after Reprotection, a nonprofit dedicated to catching abortion providers breaking laws and using local authorities to bring them to justice, began investigating the clinic.
In all three cases, the abortionist and clinic staff failed to report patient hospitalizations within the ten days required,

During his Sunday morning appearance on ABC's "This Week," Dr. Ashish Jha, the dean of the Brown University School of Public Health and the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, spoke of an expected surge of Wuhan coronavirus cases for the coming fall and winter. In other words, the surge is expected to come right before the November midterms. [Video]
When asked by host Martha Raddatz about the expected surge, Dr. Jha explained they are indeed "planning for a variety of scenarios including a wave of infection this fall and winter," which he used as an opportunity to push

One thing Democrats in the media sure know how to do is beat a word to death, and they do so collectively. In 2000, when candidate George W. Bush announced his selection of Dick Cheney as his Vice-Presidential running mate, “gravitas” was the word of the day. There wasn’t a news outlet or reporter who didn’t spend the next week belching out “gravitas” to describe why Cheney was picked, with the implication being Bush was too stupid and needed someone smart on the ticket with him. Reporters uniformly used it to death without really ever having used it before – the hive mind does not need to be ordered,

While speaking at a Georgia Democrat Party gala event on Saturday night in Norcross, Georgia, Democrat gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams, as usual, managed to stick her whole foot in her mouth when trying to make her case for reelection election as governor, as the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
She pointed to a mantra Republicans have touted for years — Georgia is the No. 1 state to do business — and contrasted it to issues such as mental health care, maternal mortality, wages and incarceration.
“I am tired of hearing about how we’re the best state in the country to do business when we are the worst state in the country to live,”

Apparently continuing the method he perfected during the 2020 campaign in which his aides kept him insulated in his Delaware basement for months on end, President Joe Biden has now gone 100 days without doing an interview with reporters — mainstream liberal or otherwise.
The last time the President of the United States sat down to answer questions was February 10, when Biden did an interview with NBC's Lester Holt. Meanwhile, Biden has not been too busy to take frequent long-weekend trips to his homes in Delaware, head to Asia and Europe, or travel around the country touting his few legislative agenda items

On Thursday morning in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm repeatedly refused to acknowledge that the Biden administration's war on U.S. energy had caused gas prices to rise since the president took office and started cracking down on domestic energy production.
Even after Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri laid out the proof of the Biden administration's anti-fossil fuel policies that have limited supply and driven up costs, Granholm still wouldn't accept any responsibility for the soaring cost of gas as the national average for regular unleaded hit another all-time high on Thursday morning.

George Washington University law professor and self-proclaimed liberal Jonathan Turley said Friday on Fox News’ “Special Report” that Hillary Clinton will probably avoid “direct responsibility” in the Durham probe because of her “Voldemort-like status.”
Apropos of nothing, but since we’re busy comparing public figures to Harry Potter characters, I would like to point out that our short-lived disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz can be compared to similarly temporary-tenured Hogwarts Headmistress Dolores Umbridge. Just sayin’.
But back to the story at hand. Appearing with host Bret Baier on “Special Report,” Turley predicted Clinton would escape consequences like she always seems to.
