Biden to scrap rule allowing hospitals,
employers, staff to opt-out of abortions,
trans services

Original Article

The Biden administration plans to remove a Trump-era conscience clause that protected medical workers from participating in services like abortions and transgender sex-change treatments. A Health and Human Services spokesperson confirmed to Politico on Tuesday that the agency “has made clear through the unified regulatory agenda that we are in the rulemaking process” to implement the new regulations as early as later this month. That confirms the expectations of Catholic religious liberty advocates and progressive sexual-rights advocates who have battled over the issue of religious conscience ever since Obamacare mandated a decade ago that Catholic schools, hospitals and religious orders pay for contraceptive services in their employee

Comments:

You will perform the abortions and transgender surgeries. Might as well since you wore the mask, took as many shots as they demanded, and are en route to eating the bugs and owning nothing, and liking it. All thanks to the Democrat Socialists, aka the Party of Choice.

I thought diversity was an admirable goal of the left. Why no room for diverse opinions when it comes to killing babies in the womb, or performing mutilating surgery on minor children? This administration's demand that American health care workers obey government dictates without question makes clear that diversity of thought is not a desirable characteristic government wants to see on display. At least not from some of the brightest and most accomplished professionals from across this nation. Note that the Dems even tried to discredit the judge who ruled the administration was legally out of line with its endless mask mandates. Now there's no room in this administration for anyone having a conscience. As a result of their heavy handed bullying, the elected and unelected authoritarians behind Joe Biden are doubling down, unaware of the "correction" that awaits them in November.

I spent over 30 years working in surgery, and I was lucky enough to work at a hospital that allowed me to opt out of abortions. Trans operations are something I never was exposed to. If I had not been permitted to opt out, I probably would have left the hospital. Forcing someone to do something which is against their fundamental beliefs is cruel and hateful, and evil.

A little over a decade ago, two researchers at Wharton published a paper showing that, despite women’s increasing work and educational opportunities, their self-reported happiness was in steady decline. Back in 1970, women were on average happier than men; they are now less happy than men. Broadly, since 1970, everyone has gotten more miserable. But the decline in women’s overall happiness has outpaced men’s, and the happiness curve inverted sometime in the early 1990s. The paper also documents increasing anxiety and neuroticism, as well as decreasing social cohesion among women.

Shares of Netflix plunged 37% Wednesday morning after the streamer reported earnings Tuesday evening that showed it lost subscribers for the first time in more than ten years. The results and weak outlook led to a wave of downgrades from Wall Street over fears of the company's long-term growth potential. Netflix said several headwinds are impacting growth, including competition and the easing pandemic restrictions. The company had been significantly boosted by coronavirus stay-at-home orders, as more people sought out digital entertainment. But people spent less time on digital platforms as vaccines rolled out and mandates eased. Slower household broadband growth also played a role in the company's weak forecast.

But the case for a second term is quite weak — and voters know it even if Democrats in dreamland don’t.Inflation is at its worst in 40 years, erasing wage growth. Crime is surging in many major cities. Employers are struggling with labor shortages. Illegal immigration could top 2 million encounters this year, amid a border crisis that has been spiraling out of control since virtually the moment Biden took office.
