Colorado Gov. Polis offers Mickey Mouse
‘asylum’ as he urges Disney to leave Florida

Original Article

Will the Magic Kingdom leave the swamplands of Florida for the clean, cool air of the Rocky Mountains? Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is openly lobbying The Walt Disney Co. to relocate its theme park from Orlando to his state over what he calls “authoritarian socialist attacks” from the Republican Party. “Florida’s authoritarian socialist attacks on the private sector are driving businesses away,” the Democratic governor tweeted on Tuesday. “In CO, we don’t meddle in affairs of companies like @Disney or @Twitter.”

Comments:

Polis really needs to brush up on the definition of socialist.

There is a reason Colorado is a Mecca for skiers. Aside from the mountains there is lots of cold weather and a whole bunch of snow. I don't think that is a real money making environment for an amusement park. Gonna dress all the characters in parkas several months a year?

Has Polis ever been to Disney World in FL? Has he seen the amount of investment DIsney has made? There is no way in Hades that they would walk away from this. They pooped in their mess kit and are about to pay the price. FL politicians in the 60's were as corrupt as Chicago or Boston, but not anymore. They has a sweetheart deal / situation and cast it away for "wokeness"? Were I a shareholder, I would be furious and would be looking for the "scalps" of the CEO and others who made this poor business decision. In the meantime, the management should be apologizing for caving to the kooks and weirdos.

Just like so many other Leftists, Polis throws words around like hand grenades with no thought as to their real meaning. Or maybe he throws them around like grenades BECAUSE the Left works to undermine societies by devaluing and eventually destroying language so they can make up their own (see George Orwell's excellent rendition of their language alterations in 1984).

What exactly is Florida doing to interfere in the running of Disney and Twitter, or any other company for that matter? It seems more like Disney and Twitter have been interfering in the running of Florida (and many other states, businesses, and personal lives) than anyone cares to acknowledge. Twitter apparently has interfered in Federal, State, and local elections by blocking candidates that they disagreed with under their "code of conduct" rules or blaming their "algorithim". Disney and their woke mob have been allowing their LGBTQ activist employees to promote their agenda into Disney movies, shows, and products. Who is interfering in whose business Gov. Polis? I think the thin air in the Rockies and too much weed is getting to his head.

Maybe he was thinking of how California routinely interferes in business. Just ask Toyota (was my customer), who had their America HQ in Torrance, CA since the 1950's. When they had a gas pedal issue with their Prius, they approached them with a strong arm, by advising they could help muffle the press if they would only give up that Fremont plant (which they then gave to Tesla). Toyota felt their long-time loyalty, and over 2000 corporate jobs, didn't seem to matter to the CA politicians. It took them about 2 years before they announced they would be relocating to Texas. California also impacted Disney business when they essentially singled out their flag-ship park. It's not an accident they determined they would relocate thousands of very high-paying jobs to Florida. Most of those jobs pay six-figures.

Who convinced Disney suits that it was a good idea to attack the very foundation of their business? I'd guess when one lives in a bubble with the alphabet crazies they really do begin to look and sound like the crazies whispering in their ears. The suits have apparently forgotten parents love their kids and will do anything to protect them from harm - mental or physical. Disney suits decided to test that truism for about 1% of Disney employees and hopefully they will pay and pay and pay for their insanity. When Disney decided to get into the indoctrination/brainwashing of our children they clearly forgot where their money comes from in this country.
