The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking the Department of Justice to proceed with its appeal of a ruling issued by a Florida judge on Monday which tossed out the Biden administration's mask mandate for public transportation passengers. "To protect CDC’s public health authority beyond the ongoing assessment announced last week, CDC has asked DOJ to proceed with an appeal in Health Freedom Defense Fund, Inc., et al., v. Biden, et al. It is CDC’s continuing assessment that at this time an order requiring masking in the indoor transportation corridor remains necessary for the public health. CDC will continue to monitor

The CDC says masks work in keeping the virus out...that is a flat out lie. Take that mask to a military gas chamber and see if it works against CS gas. The answer is NO. So why do we have to PRETEND it is effective against a virus. It is Sinister lying...not just their usual pathological lying.

Agree #1. I will never trust the CDC. Ever. In fact, I feel it has an agenda that is driven by leftist political bias. This has little to do with masking and everything to do with retaining its grip on power. The CDC needs the power to issue mandates gearing up to the midterms. We all know what is coming. They want to set us up for another lockdown. They need to keep their boots on our necks to insure that the call for Mail-in voting, drop boxes, and vote harvesting is in play prior to the election this year. It’s the same old playbook, but it worked so well in 2020, why not use it again? The CDC has sold its reputation to a vile political party with an unbelievably evil agenda and will willingly be used to undermine an election again. It is quite disturbing to realize that medical professionals willingly destroyed the trust of the American people. I find that I no longer trust that profession like I once did. I foolishly believed that they would not compromise their professional integrity. Now, I know they are no better than your average political hack. Once again, proof that liberals destroy everything they touch.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 809 points, or 2.4 percent today, as investors sold stock amidst concerns of coming recession. The Dow faced a significant decline since trading opened this morning. By the market’s close, it had reached one of its lowest closing values in the past year. Similar declines were observed on other market indices – including the S&P 500, which fell by 2.8 percent, and the Nasdaq Composite (comprising technology company stock), which lost 4 percent of its value. Most experts ascribed the loss to stocks by big technology companies, whose increases in value have come to represent a sizeable portion of market indices.

Senator Bill Hagerty (R., Tenn.) questioned the attorney general about the investigation into President Biden’s son during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, asking whether Garland himself had been briefed on the investigation. Garland replied that the probe is being led by David Weiss, the U.S. attorney in Wilmington, Delaware who was appointed by former President Donald Trump. “I’m aware of that, but he reports to you,” Hagerty said.

Three out of every five people in the U.S. now have antibodies from a previous Covid-19 infection with the proportion even higher among children, demonstrating how widespread the virus was during the winter omicron surge, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The proportion of people with natural Covid antibodies increased substantially from about 34% of the population in December to about 58% in February during the unprecedent wave of infection driven by the highly contagious omicron variant. The CDC's analysis didn't factor in people who had antibodies from vaccination. The CDC published the data in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report on Tuesday.
