The Walt Disney Co. is the worst performing stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the past year, plummeting 31 percent in the last 12 months.
Of the 30 companies that comprise the Dow, Disney has seen its stock drop the most on a percentage basis, followed by 3M, which is down 25 percent, and Home Depot, down 23 percent. Disney shares were down more than 5 percent Wednesday as investors remained skittish on streaming entertainment companies following Netflix’s disastrous first quarter results. Disney+ subscription results recently disappointed Wall Street when the company reported quarterly results in November, causing the stock to tumble.

My mother bought my kids stock a long time ago. Sold dividend re-investment at $140. Needed to send in stock certificates. Sold at $$131. Stock down to $124 today!
Get out of Disney!

If I owned Disney stock, I'd be suing them for breach of fiduciary duty. Maybe somebody is already planning to.

Not selling, holding, and will probably buy the dip. DIS shares will bounce back, but probably not until we sack that idiot Chapek.

What Disney still does not understand is that to parents, grandparents and reasonable individuals Disney crossed the line. Go after children and you will pay the price. This foolish debauched company killed the goose that laid the golden egg and for what? A marginalized percentage of the population who believe that grooming children is perfectly reasonable. Were they shocked to know that most of their patrons strongly disagreed with their very public opposition to a bill that protects children or did they know their decision would cause a stir and welcomed the fight to ensure that children were subjected to sexual concepts totally inappropriate for them? Either way, they found out quickly that the public can do without Disney. What a bunch of depraved idiots who run that company. They had a goldmine and absolutely destroyed it. People are incensed at the company because they feel betrayed. A family centered entertainment giant destroyed itself by choosing to prey on children instead of protecting their innocence. Disney deserves everything it has coming. It is nothing more than a beautiful and creative facade hiding a dark predatory soul. Disney betrayed our trust and it must pay a high price for that treachery.

Chapek as CEO should never had allowed the company go down the liberal political rabbit hole. He allowed the company to enter in to the political arena. Companies need to stay neutral. He demonstrated poor judgement. Do you want such a CEO making bad decisions? Firing him would be a step in the right direction for saving the stock. His action has caused Florida government to attempt to take many financial Reddy Creek privileges away - all due to Chapeks poor judgement. The fish rots from the head down!

Disney has gone the way of all "media" companies and their "news" components - liberal woke insanity. An abdication of ethics and morals. It has been bad for some companies as they have been found to violate one or more of the liberal identity groups, like news men carrying out sexual abuse (and it being swept under the rug).
But Disney, if anything has a significant part of their brand tied up with kids and wholesomeness. When the Disney wokesters went against a bill that, at it's essence, is a protection for children against gay "grooming", they grossly violated their own image. I can't imagine the mocking cartoons that could be drawn. It is astonishing that a "media" company doesn't GET this. Of course a LIBERAL media company sees the world through a dark and twisted lens. Hollyweird has been proudly inserting gay characters into their works, even when there is need to, just to slam home normalization of gayness.
I'm glad my kids are grown and I don't have to explain why Mickey is not Minnie's partner and he is "hanging out" with Donald instead. Talk about gender confusion.

Many, if not most, corporate executives are morally clueless. A couple years back our company put in a regulation against "leering". But it was perfectly fine to send an email to distribution telling them that you were gay, as our HR director did. Hello!!!!!!!!! McFly!!!!!!!!!!

Disney talked about negatively on the news, activist employees inserting their LGBTQ agenda into movies and other programs, employees publicly speaking out about using their work at Disney to further their activist agenda, employees protesting political stands in Disney parks, and people protesting outside Disney parks and offices against their activist agenda. Disney stock is dropping like a rock. CEO Chapek has allowed the inmates to take over the asylum. It is way past time for the Disney Board of Directors to step up and do their fiduciary duty and stop this nonsense.

Mr. Jeff has investor sense. The time to sell a stock like DIS is not after it has experienced a unforeseen drop like this. It'll recover, at least somewhat. DIS has a "moat" in more ways than one. Hopefully, they'll get their act together soon.

Capitalism has proven to be the best system for the advancement and well-being of a society; just as Communism has proven always to fail. But when a mega corporation, like DissMe, openly seeks to thwart and undermine the revealed Will of the People...it deserves whatever blow-back it receives, up to and including devastation.

If you're a fund manager you no doubt have Disney in the mix and have billed it as a blue chip to clients, investors, companies, management etc.
Now you're watching a train wreck in slow motion caused partially by economic forces and fallout from covid but mostly by sickos within Disney pushing pedophilia and Frankensteinian experimentation.

It's so sad to see what Disney has become. When my Children were young, they loved everything Disney. My Grandchildren then loved it even more as they had more access to Disney Movies and DVD's. Now, parents are seeing what Disney has become and are balking at the paying the horrific prices Disney charges to get into the Friendliest Place on Earth only to find out that that place is full of Employees who prey on Small Children and Gays who demand that Disney put Characters into their Movies that "represent" Them! I think those at the "Top" making decisions at Disney should be immediately Fired and all those Gays and Trans People should be informed that there will no longer be any of their Employees walking outside Disney Grounds protesting that Disney isn't "Inclusive". We see that on the Orlando News all the time. Keep your Private Life to yourself or lose your Job! We see Disney Employees being arrested for being Pedophiles on the Orlando News on Occasion and our thought is what a perfect place for them to work! Maybe Disney should do a better job with Background Checks! Disney needs to have a Shake Up and go back to Clean Entertainment for Children and leave the other Stuff out of their Business!!

Maybe, when the stock for the giant rat and Netflix drop low enough, someone like Musk will swoop in and restore the companies to what it once was. If not, let the stocks hit zero and be done with them. If that happens, look for a housing boom in Reddy creek
