Uber and Lyft lifted their respective mask requirements for U.S. passengers and drivers on Tuesday, one day after a federal judge overturned the Biden administration’s mask mandate for air travel and public transportation. “Riders and drivers are not required to wear masks when using Uber,” the rideshare app told users in a message on Tuesday. “However, the CDC still recommends wearing a mask if you have certain personal risk factors and/or high transmission levels in your area.” “Remember: many people still feel safer wearing a mask because of personal or family health situations, so please be respectful of their preferences,”

I always knew the mandates would go away before the election. I was only wrong by 2 years. I was speaking of 2020, not 2022.

A Russian general announced plans to occupy the Transnistria region of Moldova on Friday. Speaking at a defense industry meeting, Brigadier General Rustam Minnekayev, acting commander of Russia’s Central Military District, stated that the Russian Armed Forces plan to “make passage” into the region – in Moldova’s East, bordering Ukraine and less than 30 miles from the port city of Odessa – to create a “land corridor to Crimea,” Russian media reported. Such a corridor would also purport to connect the Russian mainland to Transnistria. Minnekayev stated that the measure was part of Russia’s second phase in its war

Soaring gas prices, historic inflation, supply chain bottlenecks, lifting crime rates, a porous southern border, and increasing U.S. absences on the global diplomatic stage. President Joe Biden will reportedly address these issues – amongst many more – dogging his administration in an election year with the simple mantra: “It’s not my fault, blame the Republicans.” According to an Associated Press (AP) report Friday, the president will seek to portray himself as a man of action stymied at every turn by the GOP in a spectacular attempt at electoral blame shifting in the run up to the midterm elections come November. “I mean this sincerely — name me something

Los Angeles County is issuing a new health officer order that continues to require masks at airports, on all public transit and in other indoor transportation hubs. The new order comes after a federal judge on Monday overturned a federal mandate that required masks on trains, planes, buses and at travel hubs. Then on Wednesday, the Department of Justice filed a notice of appeal seeking to reverse the decision at the request of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Also Wednesday, the California Department of Public Health updated its state guidance to recommend — but no longer require — masks on public transit. Despite

The Florida legislature on Thursday passed the DeSantis-proposed redistricting map to the governor to sign without changes. The map will create 20 red-leaning and eight blue-leaning congressional districts. The district lines will serve the state for the next ten years, shaping national politics. The map single-handedly wiped out the Democrats’ national gerrymandering advantage by proposing a map that eliminates constitutional infirmities. In a letter to the lawmakers, Governor Ron DeSantis’s general counsel, Ryan Newman, said the proposed map “is the product of collaboration and consultation with the House and Senate leadership and draws from the maps that were recently passed by the Legislature.”

Warner Bros. Discovery is shutting down the CNN+ streaming service on April 30, just a month after it first launched, according to multiple reports. CNN’s incoming CEO Chris Licht informed Executive Vice President Andrew Morse, who oversees CNN+, of his decision to terminate the service, sources told Variety, which first reported the impending closure. The closure was subsequently announced in a CNN article. Morse will leave CNN following a transition period, while other staffers were notified of the closure at a Thursday meeting. Licht told staffers that CNN+ had “an incredibly successful launch,” and that “it is not your fault that you had the rug pulled out from underneath you,”

Meta Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg was reportedly part of a pressure campaign to prevent the Daily Mail from publishing an unfavorable report about Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, according to a Wall Street Journal story published Thursday. Facebook is now reportedly reviewing whether Sandberg violated the company's rules. Sandberg and Kotick were dating at the time that she reportedly contacted the digital edition of the Mail in 2016 and 2019 about shelving a story about a temporary restraining order a former girlfriend of Kotick's obtained against him in 2014. The Journal cited unnamed sources involved in the article and the campaign to stop it.

A Washington Nationals pregame display involving U.S. Army parachutists briefly caused an evacuation at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. U.S. Capitol Police around 6:30 p.m. sent an alarming notice to Capitol Hill staff that it was "tracking an aircraft that poses a probable threat to the Capitol Complex." Less than 20 minutes later, police sent an update: "The aircraft no longer poses a threat to the Capitol," and USCP said that buildings in the complex were being prepared for re-entry. Its message did not contain further information about the aircraft police had initially deemed a "probable threat." According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Federal Aviation Administration failed to inform

Appearing Tuesday on MSNBC’s The Beat With Ari, veteran Democrat strategist James Carville lamented how no one “fears” the Democrat Party. A transcript is as follows: ARI MELBER: The party has long talked about being a big tent and the Internet has given more people a chance to weigh in, which can be great. It also feels like you’re in one of these local town meetings and everyone has two opinions about three projects. You have people who say they’ll vote for Biden again and wouldn’t vote for Trump, and they spend a lot of time talking about strategy, the Senate, Manchin. Do you think that’s a drag? JAMES CARVILLE: It’s totally a drag. It’s also

The reaction on the left to Elon Musk’s still-uncertain attempt to buy out Twitter in some fashion and remake it as a global platform for free speech has been almost hilarious to watch. So many of the hot takes showing up on the platform itself, as well as in major newspapers and cable news outlets sound as if they could have come from the Babylon Bee. (Of course, if they had, you wouldn’t have seen them since the satirical Bee is also banned as a “misinformation” outlet.) You’d think that the Devil himself was riding into town to set fire to the churches and enslave the locals.

The Washington Post‘s Taylor Lorenz doxed the person behind the Twitter account Libs of TikTok (LoTT) because she dared to re-post public videos that people on the left posted about themselves. The crime? Showing how radical the left truly has become. That’s something that the left doesn’t want Americans to see, because if Americans see what the left supports, they would never win another election. That’s why they targeted LoTT. The WaPo even published her name, her profession, and the city where she practices, as well as originally publishing a link to her associated address. They later deleted the link, after the backlash from the story hit.

There are currently 16 Republicans and 11 Democrats representing Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives and the new map, which also adds an additional district, increases Republicans’ dominance in the state to what will likely amount to a 20-8 margin over the Democrats. The new map effectively targets seats held by Rep. Al Lawson (D-FL), Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL), Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), and potentially Rep. Val Demings (D-FL).

President Joe Biden has reportedly told former President Barack Obama that he intends to run for re-election in 2024. He wanted to be president for decades, so his desire to keep the Oval Office is unsurprising. But the case for a second term is quite weak — and voters know it even if Democrats in dreamland don’t.Inflation is at its worst in 40 years, erasing wage growth. Crime is surging in many major cities. Employers are struggling with labor shortages. Illegal immigration could top 2 million encounters this year, amid a border crisis that has been spiraling out of control since virtually the moment Biden took office.

A mom writing for Substack’s “Parents with Inconvenient Truths about Trans” is claiming that her kid went full trans-tard after going to a new, woke, trans-happy school. She starts her article with this: “My teenage daughter has decided that she is “trans”. So have all her friends. Not some of them. Not most of them. Every. Single. One.” The anonymous mother also states that her daughter showed no signs of gender dysphoria and had never heard the word “transgender” before enrolling at her new school. That’s where she met a group of nerdy, artsy kids.
