Elon Musk isn't the villain the left needs,
but he's the villain they deserve

The reaction on the left to Elon Musk’s still-uncertain attempt to buy out Twitter in some fashion and remake it as a global platform for free speech has been almost hilarious to watch. So many of the hot takes showing up on the platform itself, as well as in major newspapers and cable news outlets sound as if they could have come from the Babylon Bee. (Of course, if they had, you wouldn’t have seen them since the satirical Bee is also banned as a “misinformation” outlet.) You’d think that the Devil himself was riding into town to set fire to the churches and enslave the locals.

Elon Musk offered $41 billion to buy Twitter which is worth about $30 billion. He said this was his final offer. The board rejected his offer and started a "poison pill" strategy. Musk should change his final offer to $30 billion...take it or leave it. The board should consider themselves lucky to get that much.

Musk will wind up with Twitter, I'll bet. He's about 6 times smarter than the idiots on the board, and has really DEEP pockets. That combo is almost certain to win. Dimwit political hacks are almost certain to lose.

The left is desperately trying to save its propaganda vehicle. They know Twitter is biased against anything they deem disinformation which is leftist speak meaning anything they disagree with. They fear their little biased birdie will be forced to allow all voices to be heard. The Twitterverse is an echo chamber of leftist lies that is used ironically to spread misinformation. It would be a great loss to their grip on the media to force this biased platform to open up to all ideas. There will be a great gnashing of teeth if Musk is successful and that is something that I cannot wait to witness.

Considering the fact that "journalism" over the past few years has become printing a string of tweets and calling yourself a journalist Musk could become Walter Cronkite. Google it kiddies.

The jury is still out on Musk and his motivations, but it just might be that he grew up watching a first world country being turned into a leftard hellhole and he ain't gonna take it any more. I wonder how many of his loved ones have horror stories to tell as perhaps the most scenically beautiful country in the world descended on the elevator to hell.

Warner Bros. Discovery is shutting down the CNN+ streaming service on April 30, just a month after it first launched, according to multiple reports. CNN’s incoming CEO Chris Licht informed Executive Vice President Andrew Morse, who oversees CNN+, of his decision to terminate the service, sources told Variety, which first reported the impending closure. The closure was subsequently announced in a CNN article. Morse will leave CNN following a transition period, while other staffers were notified of the closure at a Thursday meeting. Licht told staffers that CNN+ had “an incredibly successful launch,” and that “it is not your fault that you had the rug pulled out from underneath you,”

Meta Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg was reportedly part of a pressure campaign to prevent the Daily Mail from publishing an unfavorable report about Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, according to a Wall Street Journal story published Thursday. Facebook is now reportedly reviewing whether Sandberg violated the company's rules. Sandberg and Kotick were dating at the time that she reportedly contacted the digital edition of the Mail in 2016 and 2019 about shelving a story about a temporary restraining order a former girlfriend of Kotick's obtained against him in 2014. The Journal cited unnamed sources involved in the article and the campaign to stop it.

A Washington Nationals pregame display involving U.S. Army parachutists briefly caused an evacuation at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. U.S. Capitol Police around 6:30 p.m. sent an alarming notice to Capitol Hill staff that it was "tracking an aircraft that poses a probable threat to the Capitol Complex." Less than 20 minutes later, police sent an update: "The aircraft no longer poses a threat to the Capitol," and USCP said that buildings in the complex were being prepared for re-entry. Its message did not contain further information about the aircraft police had initially deemed a "probable threat." According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Federal Aviation Administration failed to inform

Appearing Tuesday on MSNBC’s The Beat With Ari, veteran Democrat strategist James Carville lamented how no one “fears” the Democrat Party. A transcript is as follows: ARI MELBER: The party has long talked about being a big tent and the Internet has given more people a chance to weigh in, which can be great. It also feels like you’re in one of these local town meetings and everyone has two opinions about three projects. You have people who say they’ll vote for Biden again and wouldn’t vote for Trump, and they spend a lot of time talking about strategy, the Senate, Manchin. Do you think that’s a drag? The Walt Disney Co. is the worst performing stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the past year, plummeting 31 percent in the last 12 months. Of the 30 companies that comprise the Dow, Disney has seen its stock drop the most on a percentage basis, followed by 3M, which is down 25 percent, and Home Depot, down 23 percent. Disney shares were down more than 5 percent Wednesday as investors remained skittish on streaming entertainment companies following Netflix’s disastrous first quarter results. Disney+ subscription results recently disappointed Wall Street when the company reported quarterly results in November, causing the stock to tumble.

The Washington Post‘s Taylor Lorenz doxed the person behind the Twitter account Libs of TikTok (LoTT) because she dared to re-post public videos that people on the left posted about themselves. The crime? Showing how radical the left truly has become. That’s something that the left doesn’t want Americans to see, because if Americans see what the left supports, they would never win another election. That’s why they targeted LoTT. The WaPo even published her name, her profession, and the city where she practices, as well as originally publishing a link to her associated address. They later deleted the link, after the backlash from the story hit.

Jen Psaki isn’t long for her job at the White House. Having reportedly accepted a job with MSNBC that will include a primetime show, Biden’s press secretary will make one of the easiest transitions in politics. There is essentially no daylight between being a liberal cable news host and an official for a Democrat administration. That’s a dynamic that never ceases to amaze, given how loudly liberals complain when Republicans end up on Fox News, but I digress. Psaki has been on a media tour of sorts the last few weeks, and as RedState reported, things got really awkward when she was asked about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law.

Two election handicappers are collectively moving more than a dozen House races in the GOP’s favor, in the latest sign that Democrats are facing an increasingly bleak outlook in their bid to maintain control of the lower chamber in November’s midterms. The Cook Political Report shifted eight House races in districts stretching from New York to Nevada toward Republicans on Wednesday.  The changes include moving three previously “likely” Democratic districts — Indiana’s 1st, New York’s 19th and North Carolina’s 1st — into “lean” Democratic territory. Meanwhile, three districts that previously leaned toward Democrats

After clearing the battlefield on a variety of other issues, Gov. Ron DeSantis has opened up a new front in the war on the left. This time, the Florida legislature, via a special session DeSantis called, is working to remove a 50-year-old special exemption from The Walt Disney Company. That comes amid a cultural battle in which Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, which bars the teaching of sexuality and gender “theory” to K-3rd graders, has been maligned as a “Don’t Say Gay” bill. After immense pressure from mostly out-of-state forces, Disney bent the knee and has now gone fully woke in regards to harmful ideological grooming of children.

A little over a decade ago, two researchers at Wharton published a paper showing that, despite women’s increasing work and educational opportunities, their self-reported happiness was in steady decline. Back in 1970, women were on average happier than men; they are now less happy than men. Broadly, since 1970, everyone has gotten more miserable. But the decline in women’s overall happiness has outpaced men’s, and the happiness curve inverted sometime in the early 1990s. The paper also documents increasing anxiety and neuroticism, as well as decreasing social cohesion among women.

Shares of Netflix plunged 37% Wednesday morning after the streamer reported earnings Tuesday evening that showed it lost subscribers for the first time in more than ten years. The results and weak outlook led to a wave of downgrades from Wall Street over fears of the company's long-term growth potential. Netflix said several headwinds are impacting growth, including competition and the easing pandemic restrictions. The company had been significantly boosted by coronavirus stay-at-home orders, as more people sought out digital entertainment. But people spent less time on digital platforms as vaccines rolled out and mandates eased. Slower household broadband growth also played a role in the company's weak forecast.

President Joe Biden has reportedly told former President Barack Obama that he intends to run for re-election in 2024. He wanted to be president for decades, so his desire to keep the Oval Office is unsurprising. But the case for a second term is quite weak — and voters know it even if Democrats in dreamland don’t.Inflation is at its worst in 40 years, erasing wage growth. Crime is surging in many major cities. Employers are struggling with labor shortages. Illegal immigration could top 2 million encounters this year, amid a border crisis that has been spiraling out of control since virtually the moment Biden took office.
