While sometimes you get a little truth from the liberal media, such as when CNN polling guy Harry Enten said how “really, really, really bad” the polling numbers for Joe Biden were — indeed, the worst ever for anyone at this stage of their term — a lot of the liberal media is still an acid bath of people hidebound to push the Democratic narrative to do what they can for Joe Biden. One of the worst shills for the Democratic narrative is CNN’s John Harwood. But his excuse for Joe Biden — the latest Democratic talking point to excuse his failures — isn’t going to help him.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi, was arrested late Saturday night for driving under the influence.
Paul Pelosi, 82, was booked in Napa County, California, for one count of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, according to a booking record first reported by TMZ.
"The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Drew Hammill, a spokesman for Speaker Pelosi, told the Washington Examiner.
Gov. Ron DeSantis should be all smiles this year. After 21 people – including 19 children – were killed at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on Thursday, San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler said he would not be coming out for the national anthem until he felt better about the “direction of the country.”
On Saturday, White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that voicing objections at a time for honoring the flag and anthem was “not appropriate.”
“I think he’s exactly right to be concerned … with what’s happening in our country. He’s right there,” Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said of Kapler, according to ESPN.
It’s hard to know which senator from Massachusetts is worse, Elizabeth Warren or Ed Markey, who recently called the Supreme Court illegitimate and called for packing the court.
Markey also said the recent seats that went to conservative justices were stolen.
Isn’t this the sort of thing Democrats and the media have called conspiracy theories?

A woman with a concealed handgun stopped a mass shooting this week after a man attacked a graduation party in Charleston, West Virginia.
"Police said a woman who was lawfully carrying a pistol shot and killed a man who began shooting at a crowd of people Wednesday night in Charleston," location Fox 11 reported about the incident. "Dennis Butler was killed after allegedly shooting at dozens of people attending a graduation party Wednesday near the Vista View Apartment complex. No injuries were reported from those at the party. Investigators said Butler was warned about speeding in the area with children present before he left.

Expanded use of ethanol — enabled by President Biden’s lifting a summertime ban on fuels with a 15 percent blend — is a poor answer to high gasoline prices and a refusal to recognize the failures of the corn-based fuel additive. Reuters described the president’s action as a win for the corn lobby, but all others appear to be losers.
Shortcomings of ethanol as an alternative to gasoline have been reported continually since at least 2007 when the U.S. government expanded its requirement that distributors blend ethanol with fuels to reduce dependence on foreign oil. The additive also has been touted as a way to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide.
