Blood Money: How America’s Sports Owners
Are in Bed with Communist China

There is no question that basketball is China’s most popular sport. “Roughly 800 million people in China tuned into an NBA game. … That’s more than twice the population of the United States,” NBC News reported in 2019. That was before Daryl Moray sent his simple tweet, “Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong,” in October of 2019 and started a firestorm that would shake the NBA to its core and begin a nearly 18-month-long ban on NBA games aired on Chinese television.

Comments:

And if you're still supporting these sports leagues, you're part of the problem. Turn them off, tune them out.

Any bets on which NBA franchise will be the first to move to China?...Oh, and with 800 million viewers tuning into a single game in China, I am sure the NBA stays up at night worrying about the loss of two or three million viewers in the US...

In bed with communist China. You mean like how US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is quite literally in bed with Elaine Chao, whose family in China makes its fortune on shipping?

Greed is a terrible thing. The players who get paid a small fortune are filled with it as are the ones who pay them these enormous salaries. Their kneeling and other things prove they do not love America, and the owners allowing it prove they don't either.

The NBA was playing ballgames in China in December 2019. The counting stopped early on election night in NBA arenas of Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Atlanta. All of these arenas have fought audits. Why? Does the NBA have a communication system between facilities that could have been used to simultaneously stop the ballot counts? Asking for 75 million friends.

The NBA for sure. As for the other major sports, I don't see it. China loves NBA basketball, and Hollywood movies. I don't think they care all that much for baseball, golf, or football. Even the NHL might not find much of an audience in China. The attraction to these leagues is the number of possible viewers who might follow a particular sport. They see $$$ signs in those numbers. They don't take into account that more than 75% of Chinese don't have the income. It's the others with enough disposable income they want to attract. The number of those people might equal a couple of hundred million.

Let's pay attention to a few details. Like their profitable Belt ad Road initiative, the Chinese again parlay investments into defense materiel, i.e. naval ships. And among those involved is Taiwan’s Evergreen Shipping...wha!????? Now, let's think about this. There is a very likely link between Evergreen and the Taiwanese government. And, while supposedly fearing an invasion, they are helping China build warships.

Perhaps the most annoying characteristic of so many of the dreaded RINOs infecting the Republican Party is their self-righteousness. We see it ooze out of Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) every time he comes within 50 yards of a television camera or microphone. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) can’t wait to accept invitations to appear on MSNBC or CNN to tell everyone how principled and strong she is. And Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) loves to preach to us about her affection for the decorum and traditions of the Senate, and we usually hear about it right around the time she’s getting ready to vote for a Democratic bill.

Restaurants across the nation are cutting specific promotions and reworking menu specials amid record inflation levels. Food prices were up 7.9 percent in February compared to one year ago, and March’s numbers are expected to continue the upward trend when they are released Tuesday. After one year’s worth of rising inflation, consumers across the country are swapping expensive items for cheaper counterparts, causing retail stores and restaurants to rethink their sales and menu deals. In January, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s CEO Chris Elliott removed the restaurant’s renowned surf and turf special from the menu after seeing signs that consumers were being impacted by rising inflation.

One bill pertaining to transgenderism effectively bans biological males from competing in women’s sports, while another bill will restrict adults from transitioning minors into a member of the opposite sex. “This legislation is common-sense and narrowly targeted to address these two specific issues – while ensuring that transgender individuals continue to receive the same dignity, respect, and kindness as every individual in our society,”

While many expected that Brett Kavanaugh, after his brutal treatment at the hands of the left during his mess of a confirmation hearing, would remain firmly entrenched on the right, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Instead, he just sided with the left on a major issue, setting the stage for Team Biden to start discharging unvaxxed Navy SEALs. While conservative justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch dissented and argued that the SEALs should not be discharged for refusing the jab, Kavanaugh concurred with the leftist majority, writing:
