Wisconsin Ruling Delivers Final Victory
to GOP on Redistricting

In late March, a shocking ruling was delivered by the US Supreme Court regarding a long-shot appeal over Wisconsin’s redistricting maps. Legal “analysts” gave Republicans essentially no chance to overturn the state court’s decision to adopt Democrat-created maps spearheaded by Gov. Tony Evers. Yet, a decision made via the shadow docket delivered new hope and also pushed the ball forward on stopping racial gerrymandering that has long been Democrat’s cheat code when it comes to redistricting. To summarize, Democrat Gov. Tony Evers drew up another majority-black district in his redistricting submission, elevating proportionality above all other factors.

Tony Evers knows that he won against Scott Walker in 2018 with the 3-4 boxes coming in at the last minute. 2018 was a test run for 2020.

On day 50 of Russia’s invasion, Volodymyr Zelenskiy made his nightly address to the Ukrainian people. Vladimir Putin had confidently expected to seize Ukraine in five days, Zelenskiy said, standing outside his neo-classical administration building in central Kyiv. Putin was now “making friends with reality”, he added mordantly, hailing the bravery and staunchness of his citizens. There was a reference to Russia’s flagship Moskva, which Ukraine says it audaciously sank last Wednesday with two lethal Neptune missiles. The warship has become a meme and symbol of national defiance, ever since Ukrainian soldiers stationed on Snake Island in the Black Sea told it in the first days of the conflict to
Grab the Popcorn: Brian Stelter's Days

For anyone who’s watched Brian Stelter at CNN over the years, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would give him a job or keep him on. The fact that CNN has for so long says how little their news/media coverage is worth. But Jeff Zucker is gone, and the new Discovery owners allegedly want to take CNN back to their news roots and limit the opinion content. That’s not good news for someone like Brian Stelter, whose whole shtick isn’t reporting news — it’s just attacking Fox. We saw on Friday how Stelter reached new heights of bootlicking, being a shill to defend White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki
Twitter faces the ‘nightmare’ of being

Twitter’s board of directors gathered this week to sign what sounds like a suicide pact. It unanimously voted to swallow a “poison pill” to tank the value of the social media giant’s shares rather than allow billionaire Elon Musk to buy the company. The move is one way to fend off hostile takeovers, but what is different in this case is the added source of the hostility: Twitter and many liberals are apoplectic over Musk’s call for free speech protections on the site. Company boards have a fiduciary duty to do what is best for shareholders, which usually is measured in share values. Twitter has long done the opposite.

Gov. Ron DeSantis looks to cruise to re-election in Florida as the probable Republican red wave approaches. Still, there are two candidates vying to replace him on the Democrat side. One is infamous political chameleon Charlie Crist, once a “Republican” himself, and the other is current AG Commissioner Nikki Fried. And while Crist’s momentum-less campaign appears to be poised to win him the position of sacrificial lamb, current runner-up Fried continues to have a larger social media presence — and, as you’ll see, it’s always good for a laugh. On Friday evening, something really odd happened. Fried took to Twitter

The number of illegal aliens arrested at the border in March hit 221,303 — the highest yet number of arrests at the border during the Biden presidency. That’s 28% higher than March 2021 when 173,277 migrants were encountered. In March 2020, just 34,460 illegals were arrested at the border. The number of illegals arrested at the border in March surpasses any single month during all of 2021. There were 219,953 illegals arrested at the border in July 2021. Fox News: The number is bigger than last year’s high of 213,953 in July and is the third time under Biden that there have been more than 200,000 migrants at the border —

This past month also saw more gnashing of teeth by lib hosts, reporters and pundits at “Republican manhandling” of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as MSNBC crazy Elie Mystal continued his insane claim that the GOP is trying to get her killed.  MSNBCer Chris Hayes and Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart attacked GOP governors for their “hideous” social agenda that will lead to children dying.

Public health officials in Europe and the United States are investigating dozens of puzzling cases of severe hepatitis in young children. Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. The cause is often a virus, but the viruses that commonly cause the illness — hepatitis A, B, C, D and E — have been ruled out in the cases in question, leaving doctors searching for the culprit. In several cases, the illness was so severe that the children needed a liver transplant. No deaths have been reported. The World Health Organization on Friday said it was investigating 74 cases of severe acute hepatitis in children under age 13

The Biden administration quietly announced Friday that it was restarting the sale of oil and gas leases on federal land next week — almost exactly 15 months after President Biden imposed a moratorium on such sales upon taking office. The announcement of the pending sales by the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) represents an about-face by the White House, which had resisted pressure from energy companies to open up more land for drilling, instead insisting that thousands of previously approved leases were going unused.

Ukraine said on Friday it was trying to break Russian forces’ siege of Mariupol, with fighting raging around the city’s Illich steel works and port, as the capital Kyiv was rocked by some of the most powerful explosions in two weeks. Russia said it had struck overnight what it said was a factory in Kyiv that made and repaired anti-ship missiles, in apparent retaliation for the sinking of the Moskva, the flagship of Moscow’s Black Sea fleet, on Thursday. Ukraine said one of its missiles had caused the Moskva to sink, in a powerful symbol of its resistance to a better-armed foe.

The New York Times published an op-ed Friday that proposes eliminating belief in God — as one of the holiest weekends of the year begins. Titled “In This Time of War, I Propose We Give Up God,” the article claims that God is responsible for “war and violence” and for “oppression and suffering,” and suggests that people stop teaching children about Him. Author Shalom Auslander, who is disillusioned about his upbringing in a religious Jewish community in New York, argues (original emphasis): God, it seems, paints with a wide brush. He paints with a roller. In Egypt, said our rabbi, he even killed first-born cattle.

That magnificent work blew the top off of racial debates in America by its in-depth analysis of racial cognitive ability (IQ) differences and socio-economic mobility of Americans and factors that are associated with success in life.

Thank God for fact-checkers. Where would we be without them? Instead of believing the evidence provided by our own two eyes, we’re assured that what we see isn’t really what we thought we saw. Except when it is. But that’s another story. Last Thursday, Joe Biden spoke to students and faculty at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro. It was boilerplate political stuff — blaming the supply chain problems on COVID-19, increased fuel prices on the Russians, and inflation wasn’t his fault. At the end of the speech, Biden’s eyes became a little glassy and he turned around slowly and extended his hand. Except there was no one there.
