The panic that the left is throwing now over Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter is so delicious.
They are melting down. You’re getting people now saying things about rich people and media because — suddenly — they’re so afraid that there might be free speech. What’s hilarious about all this is that they didn’t have any problem with Jeff Bezos taking over the Washington Post. So what’s different here? That Elon wouldn’t row in alignment with the narrative. That’s their true problem.
Now, the Twitter board is considering the offer from Musk; they haven’t come down with a decision yet. The word from Elon is that he’s secured the funding he needs.

The leftist globalists have worked long and hard to set their narrative in this country and the world. Elon Musk is a threat to them like no other. He is throwing a wrench into the works and they will come after him. How can they achieve their evil goals if they are challenged with truth? We are in an information war that we are losing. Mr. Musk realizes what it as stake and is willing to do something about it because he knows censorship always leads to totalitarianism. This guy has the courage needed to take on the rabid left and the resources to do it. I wish him well. May his courage and wisdom increase.

Watching Elon playing with the Twitter BOD is like watching Spock playing Chess with Kirk. Neither stood a chance. If the Twitter Board does not bring the offer to the stockholders they will be sued. If they do, more than likely the stockholders will accept and Elon will turn Twitter into the Town Square. If the BOD does not direct the offer to the stockholders, Elon will sell his shares, plummeting the stock price, take his money and create his Town Square from scratch. That is my guess.

I’ve never done twitter but if President Trump is allowed back on, I might just give it a shot.

Under normal circumstances a corporation can be controlled by ownership of a simple majority of the voting stock. Is Twitter different? This Saudi Prince runs the Saudi-based holding company KHC that controls only 5.7 per cent of Twitter's stock. How can this Prince Musk prevent Elon from taking control of Twitter? If Twitter's Board of Directors reject Musk's offer it's possible that Twitter's stock will decrease in value and never again increase to Musk's offer of $54.20 per share. Twitter is being mismanaged and its profits are going down. What will prevent Musk from acquiring a majority of Twitter's voting stock by many smaller purchases on the stock market, and probably at average cost of less than $54.20 per share?

Musk has offered to buy out the company for $54/share, or about $6 higher than the current market price.
From a purely financial/legal standpoint, the board must accept the offer, or some shareholders are bound to sue, and they'll have to explain to the SEC why the sale was not in the shareholder's best interests.
However, the board (likely packed with "woke" allies) will likely argue that "woke" issues trump financial ones...even if the SEC has not yet established any "woke" regulations.

Whether or not Musk buys out Twitter, America's problem is much larger...until it enforces the 1st Amendment on social media, no matter who owns it, the country is just another 3rd World, propaganda-driven hell-hole.

If Musk has that much capital to throw around, why not just start his own version of twitter? One that guarantees free speech and will not keep off patriots like our President Trump. Call it 'Free' or '1stA' . Twitter would die on the vine. OK, they'd still have left-wing morons.

Alwaleed, don't waste our time. Musk will be putting together your buyout package and will own the company soon. Best you take yours and go back home, camel jockey.

Why am I enjoying this delicious turn of events....because it's in the democrat's face...and they don't know how to confront opposition freely and fairly...they cheat and lie and throw tantrums when they lose...and can't control!! I think Elon Musk has painted them into a corner...

there are two cognitively advanced human beings on this earth right now, Donald J. Trump and Elon Musk and the sooner the world wakes up and realizes these two men as such, we will continue to be in an advanced state of intellectual deterioration and on the Interstate highway toward total communist takeover

If history since 9/11/2001 has taught us anything, it is that Saudi's, be they prince or king, or man on the street, don't give a camel's hump about American interests except where they can boil it down into yellow gold or black gold. It's kind of sweetly old fashioned of Nick Arama to imagine them caring at all about Twitter and who owns it as long as they can trash the US, all while knowing that the commie element in the US will smack nasty old conservatives down a notch or two. I don't believe for a nano second that the Saudi's miss the ''Mean Tweets'' as much as the DNC misses them. Joy Reid kind of folks have to use more imagination nowadays.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal draws oxygen at the pleasure of Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the future King, who imprisoned Talal and forced him to turn over all his "toys," until pledging undying loyalty to him. Prince Alwaleed is no longer the "free-wheeler" of old, buying large custom jets and massive yachts, like most people buy luggage. Nope, he's kept on a very short leash as Salman's "Poodle." IOW, he can do nothing on his own and I would imagine Salman has told him to stay out of this 'American' issue.
It is more than likely that a group of Twitter stockholders will band together and SUE the Board of Directors and the leadership of Twitter to prevent them from enacting the Poison Pill until it can be put to a Vote of the Shareholders. That's the typical way it's been done these days, since in the this case Musk is offering a far more attractive proposal than where it is going to go with current leadership. The Twitter stock price has seen its highest price and I predict it will drop like a rock into the mid-20's as this wrestling match plays out. Ultimately I expect Musk's "Plan B" to be the launch of his own platform, OR he will buy another platform and transform it into what he is wanting. Musk has 82 million followers on Twitter and can 'pitch his tent' anywhere and they will come. The FOOLS at Twitter just don't understand that, as they pump Obama at 108 million followers (half no doubt fake) and he never posts anything. Sure, cook the books like Enron and hope for a better result.
Sell it to Musk, take the money, and walk away.
