Scott has been writing about the strange case of the two men “of Washington, D.C.” who are under arrest, having purported to be high-level Department of Homeland Security agents. The men are Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali, which might give the politically incorrect some ideas. News reports indicate that they “compromised” four Secret Service agents, although my understanding is that this simply means that those agents accepted gifts from them. Somehow, Taherzadeh and Ali had plenty of money to throw around.
The case took a small step forward today with the filing of a motion to hold the men in federal custody as flight risks. The motion begins:

What Powerline posts is unimportant and I do not read their words.

FTA: “ It strikes me that Mr. Taherzadeh and Mr. Ali are likely to take their place in a line of news stories with respect to which we never got to hear the punch line: …”
So true. Many interesting stories run a 2-3 day news cycle and die. Why?

"So, yeah, there is something happening with the two “Washington, D.C.” men. But what it is ain’t exactly clear, and likely never will be."
This is the last paragraph. The one prior mentions Fang Fang, other Democrat House and Senate hirelings,, plus Joe and Hunter. All to be ignored by a wilfully blind press. Worth a read.

The article mentions these guys being heavily armed, then lists the weapons and ammo...These guys have not a whole lot: 7 rounds of 308, 17 rounds in a Glock, 35 rounds in a box and 61 rounds in magazines for a Sig...
People blow away that much ammo on a weekday at the range, let alone a weekend day. These guys may very well be nefarious evil men, but nervous Nelly ( the author) is over-reacting to their collection of armament.

This was obviously an assassination team. The question is who was their target? And how many more of them are out there? Don’t expect our woke FBI to solve this either.

If these two are from Pakistan, then they're probably agents of that country's Inter Service Intelligence (ISI). The ISI is a particularly nasty and meddlesome organization who brought the region and the world such hits as 'The Taliban' and 'Those Pakistanis Who Lifted Classified Information While Posing to Provide Tech Services to the House Democratic Caucus'. Yes, it just rolls off one's tongue--but they're real toe-tappers.

The only way to get the FBI involved, #5, would be if they found a noose in their room or if they claim to be parents concerned about what their kids are being taught in school. You know, those dangerous Domestic Terrorists!

Plant a noose and a MAGA cap in the room and the FBI will jump right onto it. There's nothing to see here. The country's security is in the hands of inept political buffoons start with the FBI and the agents who didn't question these frauds but took their perks. We have not security like we have no military that's all-yesterday's news.

It's largely forgotten now but a phony sign-language interpreter was right next to Obama on a foreign trip to Africa. Somehow the secret service let him slip through all security checks. They sometimes make huge mistakes.

As others have notes, the last paragraph states that sad truth -- this and all similar scandals involving Dems will be kept from the public. Bloggers and the Daily Mail are the only outlets that will report this story.

What's happening here is as old as portable wealth...Washington can be bought. We all know that, although loathe to admit it. Policies can change without anyone ever noticing. Laws can be passed, or ignored by enforcement agencies. The Federal government has become Chicago. The UNIPARTY isn't going broke. The conceit is that the US is too big to fail. And the public believes it.

I worked for the US government and every couple of years, we had to go through training dealing with what to do if somebody shows up and starts offering you all kinds of fun and expensive stuff and what to do if you notice a co-worker getting involved in such thing.
Is the Secret Service exempt from these classes? Didn't their BS meters not go off?
My first thought if a high-level person in anybody's security organization had offered me "gifts" would have been, "Okay, this is a test, and if I don't pass the test, they have something to hold over me. Maybe I ought to check with MY security folk." (And on a much lower level, in a somewhat similar situation, I did exactly that.)
I see no articles, reports, discussions of what's going on at the Secret Service, much less DHS.

Maybe they are there to keep an eye on Jill to ensure that Joe does what their country wants done for them. Maybe Jill is in danger. Maybe that is why our enemies are benefiting from a lot of money being given away. When did we stop taking care of ourselves, providing for ourselves, protecting ourselves? What is being done right now to address these serious matters
