Early Sunday morning, Azerbaijan time, an explosion tore through a crowded nightclub in the capital of Baku. There is no definitive count of casualties now, but the explosion could not have come at a worse time for Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2020, former Soviet Republics, Azerbaijan and Armenia, fought a brutal 44-day war over a disputed chunk of land with the Tolkien-esqe name of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenians are a Russian client state. Azerbaijan has ties with Israel and is a member of the NATO farm club, the “Partnership for Peace” program. In the war, Armenia was soundly thumped, and Russia, attempting to show its relevance, acted as the intermediary

California counties and metropolitan centers saw some of the largest population declines during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data released this week from the U.S. Census Bureau.”
The report noted that some declines in California’s counties are attributable to international migration losses during the pandemic, with California being home to 41.4% of the counties that saw these losses. Other experts say that the rise of remote work and a desire to flee coronavirus infection centers played a role in population dips across the state.
When the pandemic hit, thousands either stayed in place or sought out ’safe harbors,’ to get away from disease centers.

About a year ago I wrote an article about my Democrat friends. We were barely 2 months into the Harris/Biden administration and they were getting a bit embarrassed about the leadership they had helped foist on the country. My naïve friends had bought into the propaganda that all of the turmoil in Washington was because of Donald Trump. They voted for a return to normalcy. Only two months into this administration, they were embarrassed to see that they had been hoodwinked big time.
The Dems were now in charge of everything, yet the turmoil was greater than ever.

There was a lot of crazy effort from folks on the left to try to provide some cover for Joe Biden’s big gaffe seemingly pushing regime change as to Vladimir Putin.
We even saw Never Trumper “expert” Tom Nichols get upset with CNN because they finally had a truthful chyron — just quoting what Biden said about Putin.
The White House walked that back, claiming that Biden’s point was that “Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.” Then Biden messed that up, saying he wasn’t walking anything back but saying

CNN is known for fake news. Who could ever forget the “fiery but peaceful protests” chyron they had to try to downplay the violence of the BLM riots?
But we have to hand it to them for being accurate when it came to what Joe Biden said during his big speech in Poland. His team heralded the remarks as a landmark speech and iconic, à la Ronald Reagan at the Berlin Wall.
Here’s what the liberal talking points were supposed to be — as the WaPo’s Jen Rubin and the liberal weasel Alexander Vindman confirm.

We’ve become accustomed to the hyper-politicization of the Supreme Court, particularly when it comes to the confirmation process for nominees. Wild, unsubstantiated allegations against Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his hearings in 2018 depicted him as the second coming of Caligula. The left and their media ate it up, parroting the outlandish claims at every opportunity.
One of the more memorable moments of the Kavanaugh hearings came from Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) when he practically became double-jointed patting himself on the back during his “I am Spartacus moment.” During those hearings, Booker was doing everything possible to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation,

he Lincoln Project and all those who have been associated with it are always a font of hysterical drama. They sought to take down President Donald Trump–and took themselves down with their actions.
So, we knew something was afoot when the Lincoln Project made this post about their co-founder and former associate, Steve Schmidt.
Schmidt resigned from the organization in February 2021, after the news broke about the sexual allegation against another co-founder, John Weaver, and after reports about a house he bought in Utah. The Lincoln Project’s post says he hasn’t been associated with the organization since November 2021. That’s an interesting discrepancy.

Many may have to play along with declaring Lia Thomas as one of the greatest female athletes of all time, but everyone else lives on planet Earth where dogs bark, the sky is blue, and men can’t suddenly be women because they said they were.
Thomas is definitely a man and there’s no escaping that fact. It’s why when he was declared the winner of the NCAA women’s swimming championship, many people immediately rejected his first-place victory and focused on the girls who finished below him. In one stunning moment, the girls did the same.

The only son of former president Donald Trump and former first lady Melania celebrated his 16th birthday on March 20th. Barron Trump, who like most first children was mostly kept from the public spotlight, has been something of a shock to those who see him in recent photos.
Last summer, it was widely shared that the youngest Trump had ballooned to six-foot-seven. According to some outlets, the average height of a fifteen–year-old male is five-foot-six. Amazingly, at just 16, that means Barron has years of possible growth still. Could he reach seven feet? Most of the Twitter comments were pleasant, which was a rare surprise from the famously intolerant, cesspool-like environment.

Yesterday was another banner day for Joe Biden’s cognitive inabilities. As RedState reported, he managed to bungle the announcement of Kamala Harris’ husband having COVID-19 no less than three different ways.
Here’s what that looked like.
Biden first says that the “First Lady’s husband contracted COVID,” apparently missing the fact that he’s the First Lady’s husband. Not even realizing his glaring misstep, Jill Biden has to interject from the sidelines in an attempt to rescue him.

At the risk of admitting this isn’t even shocking anymore (it’s not), we nevertheless cannot acquiesce to the incessantly evil demands of the left in their promotion and celebration of gender dysphoria. In an announcement that surely made the twenty-somethings at USA Today giddily high-five one another for their supposed courage, we learned that the person born as Richard Levine was being honored with “Woman of the Year” accolades.
Like I said: Yawn. Levine’s supposed victory would be more exciting if Bruce Jenner hadn’t won ESPN’s own fawning award in 2015 as its own Woman of the Year. Dennis Rodman got married in a wedding dress

Once again, HBO host Bill Maher stands in a curious spot — in opposition to his own team.
During Real Time’s March 11th installment, the longtime Democrat brought up Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
Critics have had lots to say…or maybe just one thing:
But the Donkey Party’s characterization of the measure is of the mythomaniacal sort.
As indicated by ABC News, the bill orders that lessons on sexual identity or sexual preference “may not occur in kindergarten through grade three or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”
