But we have to hand it to them for being accurate when it came to what Joe Biden said during his big speech in Poland. His team heralded the remarks as a landmark speech and iconic, à la Ronald Reagan at the Berlin Wall. There was a lot of crazy effort from folks on the left to try to provide some cover for Joe Biden’s big gaffe seemingly pushing regime change as to Vladimir Putin.
We even saw Never Trumper “expert” Tom Nichols get upset with CNN because they finally had a truthful chyron — just quoting what Biden said about Putin.
The White House walked that back, claiming that Biden’s point was that “Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.” Then Biden messed that up, saying he wasn’t walking anything back but saying

The Lincoln Project’s post says he hasn’t been associated with the organization since November 2021. That’s an interesting discrepancy.

Joe Biden has shown – time and time again – that he has no compunction against lying if it means shifting the blame away from himself. We mentioned some of his lying about inflation earlier.
We’ve seen him blame everyone and everything else, rather than take the blame and take the right steps to address it. His latest excuse is Vladimir Putin, despite the fact that inflation has been raging for several months, long before Putin invaded Ukraine at the end of February. He was speaking at the House Democrats Conference in Philadelphia, and he repeated the lie, saying inflation was “largely the fault of Putin.”
For the last several weeks, reports of a new JCPOA “nuclear” deal with Iran being imminent have surfaced. Even as Russia invaded Ukraine, the United States was said to be forging ahead, with an announcement to be made any day. That despite the fact that Russia itself was the chief mediator.
But this is Joe Biden we are talking about, so he even managed to find a way to fail at an objectively bad thing, and not for lack of trying. Iran deal negotiations have been suspended after Russia demanded sanctions relief in return for an agreement.
