Mayor Adams promotes LGBTQ NY in opposition
to Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law

Despite getting off to a rough start with LGBTQ New Yorkers due to some controversial appointments, Mayor Eric Adams on Monday leaned on that very community to promote a push to lure Floridians to the Big Apple with digital billboards opposing a new law there that bans the discussion of sexual orientation in grades 3 and below. Looking at the measure signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as an opportunity to try and reverse the trend of New Yorkers fleeing high crime and taxes for the low-tax Sunshine State, Adams held a press conference Monday to say the billboards will be displayed in Fort Lauderdale,

Comments:

Are you OK with sexualization of kindergarteners? If so, then the Rotten Apple is the place for you. The billboards are vile, though; it would be a real shame if someone were to vandalize them.

Flip down a couple stories. Sounds like Tyreik Martin, 30, told cops he enjoyed chucking bottles at unsuspecting victims, as he was arrested for hitting a female crossing guard with bottles. Perhaps the good Mayor can arrange for Mr. Martin to act as a welcoming committee for the "Say Gay" tourists coming to New York from Florida. He can escort them to the Subway, where they'll be acosted again or maybe pushed into an oncoming train. If they make it out of there, a nice representative will be happy to lighten their load by removing their wallet and/or purse.

This is another great example of why the constitution set up a federal government, rather than a national government. Each state has the authority to make their own laws. Failed states can do things like New York and California. Good states can do it like Florida or Texas. Of course, with Kalifornians moving in here by the thousands, more like millions, we may not have it so great for long.

Adams equates Florida's banning discussion of sexual orientation in grades 3 and below as harassment. This is laughable. Can he really believe these billboards will result in ANY Florida residents moving to New York?

For the life of me, I cannot figure out where this across-the-board general sickness is coming from. Who on the left gains what by promoting transgenderism in grade school? Who is receiving what kind of money for allowing the dissolution of our southern border? Why do they not allow honest discussion and civilized debate? Is this the final retaliation against 1950's America such that anything the law-abiding, white, middle class was comfortable with must be abolished?

One of the men who opened fire on a crowd of people in Sacramento early Sunday morning, killing six, was a career criminal who was released from prison in February just four years into a 10-year sentence for felony gun and robbery convictions, reports said. The decision, made by California's Department of Corrections, was even made over the strenuous objections of the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, which submitted a letter saying that the man 'displayed a pattern of criminal behavior' and posed a 'significant' danger to the community. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin accused Rep. Matt Gaetz of being “embarrassed by your country” at a House hearing Tuesday, while the outspoken Florida Republican shot back that Mr. Austin and other Pentagon leaders have compromised U.S. military superiority by embracing socialist policies. A heated exchange between the two men erupted during Tuesday’s hearing before the House Armed Services Committee, which was meant to be a forum to discuss the Pentagon’s fiscal year 2023 budget request. But the third-term conservative lawmaker used his time to accuse the Defense Department of inviting socialists to speak at military institutions and forcing recruits to learn critical race theory.

It’s illegal to discriminate based on race, even in the name of increasing diversity, which is why the NFL’s newly announced mandate on women and minority coaches is already raising red flags. The league announced last week at the annual owners meeting that all 32 teams must employ a woman or person of color as an offensive assistant coach, an effort to put diverse candidates in the pipeline for future head coaching positions. Whether the hiring initiative can pass legal muster is another question, given that it looks at first glance like a “pretty clear racial and gender quota,” said Josh Blackman, South Texas College of Law Houston professor.
