Beware the false flags. But also beware the fake news and false promises, as they are the means for dangerous ends: increased U.S. and NATO involvement in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
On Thursday, Senator Lindsey Graham – a longtime member of the Washington D.C. war party – called for the assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin.(tweet)Florida Senator Marco Rubio soon followed with claims that Putin would “use chemical or biological weapons” and “slaughter millions.” This same Marco Rubio has been a proponent of NATO expansion - the very policy that contributed to the environment that led to Russia’s invasion.

Every day I'm getting more convinced that this administration along with globalist RINOs wants us and NATO in a war with Russia. FJB started this war on purpose to use as an excuse for the higher energy prices and to take our mind off the rest of all his failures (inflation, Afghan withdrawal, open border). They see that Americans aren't buying it and now will get us in full blown war.

FTA:
All the while, there persists, due to social media and western press, a large degree of false hope concerning Ukraine’s chances for victory. The theory being that Ukraine will thwart Russia if only they could get a little more help. In reality, Russia is winning this war. Cities are encircled (if not outright taken), Kyiv faces Russian troops from its west and its east, and Russia may soon own the Ukrainian coast.(snip)
Right now, Zelensky has a tough decision: continue fighting or come to terms with Russia. The decision becomes less difficult as Russia advances, if only because Russian success limits Ukraine’s options and bargaining power. This desperation and the diminished likelihood of Ukrainian success only increases the potential for a false flag operation to justify Western involvement in this war.
We’ve seen lies to get us into war. We’ve seen lies to continue a war. And now, in real time, we’re seeing lies to get us into another’s war. What will they do if the lies aren’t enough?
As much as we might admire Zelensky for his patriotism , we must remain clear-eyed about how far he might go - bolstered by rah-rah American politicians like Graham and Rubio (and even Manchin) - get the United States into his country’s war.
Some have slammed me for recommending reads. I don’t post frivolously. For more than 20 years my goal has been to keep LDotters informed. Some are obviously interested. Some prefer otherwise. That is their and our country’s loss.

The U-R conflict is an internal former Soviet conflict. Neither is lily white. Both have provided $$$ to the DC grifters, of both parties. Follow the $$$. Follow the MIC campaign contributions. Who will gain by the Ukraine-Russian conflict, both financially and politically? Who is eager to expand the conflict? Why? Ask questions? So far all we see 24x7 is the Ukranian side. What about the Russian perspective? None of the networks have provided the Russian point of view. Why?

Here's the deal:
Russia re-taking the Ukraine is sad and possibly could lead something worse. But the US should be cutting off oil.and increasing our oil production... but they don't. So this is Europe's problem. Putin while an a**, doesn't have the military China has. The real concern for the US should be Taiwan and China.
Once Taiwan is in Chinese control, all shipping is the China sea is under their control. Taiwan produces computer chips for US and others. This is the real worry.

#3 makes a good point. The problemn with that as an indictment is that this particular blogger, who has an excellent track record for his investigative reporting and analysis, joins at Substack the growing numbers of honest journalists and opinion writers who have been banned by their original platforms because they dared to speak out against the Biden government on Covid, Afghanistan, and now this Ukrainian war.
So we are stuck with ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR and all those well-recognized (dishonest) named writers.
Not I. Consider that for decades Spengler was revered as an authority. Not his real name. More recently we’ve found Sundance at Conservative Treehouse to be a well-grounded investigator/analyst. There are many others, too numerous to mention. We have a choice. I know what mine is and will recommend any with good records until I’m proven wrong. These writers present analysis. We are free to accept or reject it.
Invariably those who complain don’t post anything.

There is so much psychological warfare propaganda supposedly coming out of Ukraine that is being fed to Americans who could not find Ukraine on a map, that it pays for the American people to look twice, and take with a grain of salt, what the media is feeding them. In one example regarding what some US politician warmongers along with much of the media have been saying about the Russian Army attacking and taking over the nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Common sense will tell you that the Russian’s motive for taking over those nuclear power plants is to control the electricity in Ukraine, and not to blow them up causing massive radioactive fallout to get in the atmosphere contaminating large areas of Ukraine and Russia.

For those who don’t trust anyone who has to use an assumed name (a nom de plume, it used to be called), and posts at Substack rather than MSNBC: From Techno Fog’s About:
We have operated at a loss for 5+ years, spending thousands of dollars on court documents and transcripts and records. These include:
We successfully unsealed documents from the Enron prosecution showing Special Counsel Mueller’s “pit bull” Andrew Weissmann improperly threatened witnesses if they cooperated with the defense.
Transcripts from the case of Lt. General Michael Flynn documenting the DOJ’s failure to produce Brady material.
Court records from the General Flynn case regarding (1) FBI agent concerns about the Flynn investigation; and (2) FBI leadership targeting Flynn.
Transcripts/documents from the Bijan Rafiekian case (Flynn Intel Group), which illustrated (1) DOJ confusion about how to proceed with Foreign Agent Registration Act charges; and (2) the DOJ/FBI’s curious failure to investigate whether the funds in that case came from Turkey.
Court records on Jeffrey Epstein documenting DC’s involvement in his case; and how a high-level DOJ official stopped letters discussing Epstein’s plea deal from going to his minor victims.
Unsealed records relating to Jeffrey Epstein that implicated many high-profile people, including Bill Clinton.
Transcripts from the Paul Manafort case, where we showed the Court’s concern that the Special Counsel was prosecuting Manafort to go after President Trump.
The Federalist trusted him enough to publish his work.

I find it difficult to be on the same side of anything as George Soros so that makes me question all I hear about Ukraine and what good guys they are. But I recognize the drill - all news and MSM beating the drum and doing anything, along with certain politicians, to get us into another war. Then here comes the Moron offering $10 billion to the war and opening the floodgates for Ukrainians to start coming here. Dear God. When will enough be enough?

Take a few minutes and listen to this interview of Oliver Stone on a San Francisco radio station. I think the interviewer was taken aback by this interview.

the three concepts the demcommies understand in governing: 1.) spend money they don't have; 2.) raise taxes and create a vassal state and 3.) start wars that have no termination point. so far they've managed to accomplish all three so our future is looking very dim and repubs are chasing their tails trying to get a grip on the whole situation ... and ... 2022 and 2024 are also looking very far away

While #3 is a good point, O.P. has earned the benefit of the doubt through years of consistency with the well-chosen postings, attentive reading, spot-on analysis, and thoughtful commentary. Among contributors here, O.P. seems as eminently imitable as any other Ldotter.
At the other end of the trustworthiness spectrum we find Soros, whose promotion of Ukraine's cause inclined me to be more a bit more skeptical of the reporting on this. The medical crisis exhausted its ability to hold our attention, so the MSM are returning to military crises for further leverage over society.

From the beginning of this, my concern is that The HairSniffer and his handlers will blunder us into a war with Russia.
As the One True Thing that OBummer said in his 8 long years in office: "Don't Underestimate Biden's Ability to 'Eff' Things Up."
I'm not a fan of Putin, but from what I understand, he has legitimate concerns about more countries joining NATO, and the possible placement of various missiles closer and closer to Moscow. My understanding is that when Putin voiced those concerns to the NATO bureaucrats, they 'blew him off', and this is what he is doing as a result.
What should the USA do?
The FIRST thing we should do is take the Government's Boot off the Necks of the oil companies. Let them supply us, and depending on circumstances, Europe with oil and natural gas. Drive the price of oil down. STOP buying oil and natural gas from Russia. All other 'boycotts' are Kabuki Theatre, as long as we are buying huge amounts of oil and natural gas from Russia and also Iran, as The HairSniffer has us doing.
Support the Israel/east Mediterranean-to-Europe gas pipeline, instead of stopping it.
As far as military support, supplying the Ukrainians with the arms that they need seems a decent thing to do, but I am against American soldiers on Ukraine. Other than that, I don't have enough reliable information to have an opinion.

Author is a widely cited lawyer/investigator. The views he expresses here have been shared by many of us. We should not be following the likes of Lindsey Graham and Marquito… President Trump kept us out of these wars; some foolish pols would take us hellbent into one now.
