One could describe it as 'the flight of the women'.Certainly, the refugees came from all backgrounds and walks of life. Rich and poor alike were escaping the catastrophe that was enfolding their nation, carried in all kinds of transport, from brand new Porches to battered hatchbacks. But one detail was striking and uniform There was not a man of fighting age to be seen among them. This was the exodus of Ukraine's mothers and children at the bleak Korczowa border crossing with Poland yesterday afternoon.

If Kiev falls there will be a flood of refugees. If the Russian troops sever the highway from Kiev to the Polish border it's going to be a horrific crisis. The only other options are smaller crossings into Slovakia and Romania.

I’m sorry, but surely there re other sources of information about what’s happening in the Ukraine than the DM. Someone’s obsession with this hysterical rag is nearing Playboys stashed under the bed.

Much the same is seen in the footage from the bomb shelters...nearly ALL women and children.
Even keeping in mind that nearly 30% of all "fighting age" Ukrainian men are off working in other countries already(men over 65yo outnumber men 16-65 currently) it seems basically ALL of them still there are gearing up to fight.
I have hopes that these men are "Texans" at heart, we may well be in a time where "Legends" are made.

DM playing this like Reality TV, with extra drama. Russians aren’t prisoners in their own country and if Russia annexes part of Ukraine they won’t be either, how could they be?

I asked my young female Ukrainian friend if she would try to get to Poland, but she said that she had no transportation, but a room mate's parents could get them to a rural village to hide out in. I have no contact from her now - either off the grid to hide, or perhaps the net is down in that area. She did contact her mother, and is safe in a small village several hundred miles from Kiev in the countryside.
I'd feel better if she could get out to Poland, but that is probably another 150-200 miles at least, and transport is not easy.

Where are the freedom loving countries of the world? They could at the very least come together to loudly condemn Russia and refuse to buy gas and oil from Putin. Biden has refused to stop purchasing it from Putin. Therefore in essence, we are funding this war. Biden though his pig headed devotion to rabid progressives created this mess. By stopping our oil production, he forced Europe to buy oil from this bully and he now uses that money to fund this invasion. Ignore evil and you will get more of it. Look what has happened to us.

Why did these people all wait until the last minute? That includes the president of Ukraine passing out rifles two days after the invasion began and running out of ammo already? Bravery is one thing, acting in a panic is another.

Yes, #6. We are helping Putin finance this war to the tune of $65 million/day buying Russian oil. This is after a little more than a year ago we were SELLING oil to other countries. I detest that idiot who thinks he is president.

Fleeing mothers and children...have the Russians started bayonetting them yet? War propaganda. We have to DO SOMETHING!
