President Joe Biden on Thursday condemned Vladimir Putin for his invasion of the Ukraine and announced a series of new sanctions on Russian financial insitutitions that he said will have a 'severe' effect on that nation's economy.'Putin is the aggressor. Putin chose this war. And now he and his country will bear the consequences,' Biden said in remarks at the White House. He accused Putin of empire building with Thursday's invasion into the Ukraine. And he said he didn't underestimate the Russian leader.'He has much larger ambitions than Ukraine. He wants to re-establish the former Soviet Union. That is what this is about,' the president said.

C-mon, man, just because you haven't done a risk/reward analysis does not mean Putin hasn't. Putin has been several moves ahead of you.
BTW didn't you say you would do everything in your power to lower our energy costs? !!!LIAR!!!!

The Russian Federation in not about to "reestablish the soviet Union." That fairy tale comes from the US Media. The Federation is predominantly Christian nation that converted AWAY from Communism in the 1990s. For probable politcal reasons the Ukraine territory (the site of Russia's birth) seceded from the Federation and attempted to take over territory as well as its churches in the territory. The United States secularly blessed the Ukrainian moves. The average military soldier in the battle is a church-going Christian (no matter which side supports him).

Today I was watching Fox Business while working at home when on comes Brandon. Given events today, I told myself this is important, I should listen to what the senile old doofus has to say. But after a minute of listening to him grunt and growl at his teleprompter I switched channels to Beat Bobby Flay. Brandon is insufferable, and his puppet masters should just throw in the towel and admit that no one takes him seriously, especially Putin.

I thought you said he wouldn't dare do anything when you became president.
Now look at the mess you left, which looks similar to the mess in Syria and Libya under another democrat president.

I have heard from two Ukrainian friends. The military barracks 2 km from the home of one of them was bombed, along with the airport. Their daughter is in Kiev, has spent a lot of time in the subway tunnels during air raids, is now at home, with a bundle of documents, food and clothing, ready to run back to the subway at the next alarm.
Two other friends in Odessa and Kharkiv have not replied.
Very sad times, and civilians have been hit, not just military targets.

Ukraine has its own language and own culture. It is not just a territory in Russia as Putin (and his apologists) claim. It doesn't really matter if it is is the Soviet Union or Greater Russia that Putin hopes to accomplish. There is just something wrong with invading another country to take claim to its territory, its resources and its people. Hitler did the same thing when he invaded Austria and Czechoslovakia.

What Biden said about sanctions today, and the inability of sanctions to deter the Russians from invading Ukraine, is the exact opposite that his top Administration officials have been telling the American public since they assumed office.

Question Joey: What difference does it make to lock up Russian assets in the USA, when all you do is release them later to the same despots?

Joe continues to spout statements that contradict what he has said in the past. He is a fool.
