Like many, I have spent the last couple of weeks a bit entranced by the trucker protests happening in Canada. (Snip) To simplify, let’s first identify and categorize two classes of people in society, who we could say tend to navigate and interact with the world in fundamentally different ways. The first is a class that has been a part of human civilization for a really long time. These are the people who work primarily in the real, physical world. The second class is different. It is, relatively speaking, a new civilizational innovation. They don’t interact much with the physical world directly; they are handlers of knowledge.

Comments:

There might be some heavy lifting reading this for some, but it's well worth it. I think it's the best, most explanatory thing I've read describing the sides in the war we are now in. It's people who deal with the physical world (not necessarily blue-collar as it includes farmers and many small business owners) versus those who have no contact with the physical world, only with ideas and knowledge. The knowledge people think they can run the world, but they now have to acknowledge there is a physical world and they don't have the least idea about how it works.

This is perhaps the best analysis of the situation that I have seen. The Physicals need to just stop providing goods and services to the cities.. Boom. The Virtual class is DONE. Most of them struggle to change a tire, let alone actually repair something like plumbing, or a basic, simple electrical problem. If the Physicals just stop supporting the Virtuals.....kind of a John Galt moment, these Virtuals are just done. And get your money out into your hands, as cash. The electronic banking system and credit cards are pretty much THE last lever that they control. Insist on being paid in cash. Only deal in cash, and these external thugs lost their leverage. "Yeah, I'll haul that load, but I must be paid in cash, no checks, not bank deposits. Cash up front or the freight doesn't move." THAT is control.

Good article. I agree with Poster 1. Cash is king. Insist to be paid in cash. Maybe give a slight discount for cash. Avoid banks whenever possible. I am concerned about the “momentum” toward a cashless society. Argue forcefully against the fallacy of inevitably — that there is nothing we can do about the cashless wave of the future. In France, there is a 1,000 Euro limit on cash transactions. I expect a similar regulation soon in Canada.

This is a very long and worthwhile read. The only problem with it is that it was published on the 16th thus is not up to date with Trudeau’s latest crimes that have taken place in the last four days. The author is very correct that the Physical Class has much more power than the elite’s could possibly understand. If the Deplorable’s actually went into a full shut down mode the ruling class in the large urban areas would be in starving within a week. From a physical aspect they are absolutely helpless. One last note, many of the most brilliant people I know are or have been skilled blue collar workers. You risk at your own peril thinking otherwise.

One guy thinks, when justine left for 2 weeks he consulted with his wef masters, "Trudeau Calls In UN International Mercenaries To Brutalize Ottowa Freedom Convoy" ala private military contractors/mercenaries. They don't have name tags because they don't have them. They are violent ones. https://www.bitchute.com/video/UYmtFJo03hDX/ This mirrors my initial thought when I saw the visuals. Could this be one of the reasons the Chief resigned?

Going to have to re-read this brilliant, yet basically simple, analysis of where the elites would be without "US" and why they're in such panic about the Upheaval they can't control. I've been impressed with all the Substack arricles posted here on Lucianne... so much so that I'm now a subscriber. Encourage others to do the same.

OTTAWA – Seven Canadian provinces now oppose an Emergencies Act declaration made Monday by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who claims it is needed to stop the peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters in Ottawa. (Snip) No less than six provinces, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba,  Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador have already or will be soon dropping most COVID rules, with more saying they will do so as well. Two Canadian premiers and 16 U.S. state governors in a letter recently demanded that Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden allow un-jabbed truckers to cross the border. Despite the new threats from Trudeau, organizers for the Freedom Convoy said Tuesday that they would “hold the line.”

They’re weathering not just insane cold temperatures and sleeping in their trucks to fight for their freedoms, but also now a full-on frontal assault from their federal and provincial governments. So I have nothing but respect for these guys. They’re some of the kindest people that I’ve ever met. And I don’t say that just because of my ideological priors. Multiple events hosted by conservative groups have been flooded with fake registrations across the country, including one at an Ivy League school hosted by a prominent student organization that engages in activism for conservative causes. (Snip) However, for some conservative groups, a tsunami of spam registrations made accomplishing that difficult, and the difficulty was compounded by slow or non-existent responses from the company. In addition, the Daily Caller News Foundation found that it was easy to make a fake registration for events on Eventbrite, even if the email address was already linked to an Eventbrite account. If we have learned anything about left-wing cultural revolutionaries over the past few years and decades, it’s that they insist that all conform to their view of “diversity.” (Snip) That’s why it’s so troubling to see government authorities rope in, and attempt to control, people attempting to maintain their independence. Maryland Delegate Sheila Ruth, a Baltimore County Democrat, recently proposed legislation in the Maryland House of Delegates that would create a deeply worrisome “advisory council” to watch over and gather data on homeschool families. The 16-seat council would be staffed by four political appointees, four government officials, and eight members of the homeschool community. It would “gather information

Stupid people, deluded people, and/or malicious people all confronted us with their stupid, deluded and/or malicious nonsense, and instead of telling them to cut the Schiff, we smiled and tolerated it. Now we got dudes setting records in women’s sports, roving bands of mouth thong vigilantes pestering those of us who exercise facial freedom, and communists who have decided that racism is cool as long as it’s useful to their agenda.

So we’re finally seeing a genuine, bottom-up, working-class revolution. In Canada, and increasingly in the United States, truckers and others are refusing to follow government orders, telling the powerful that, in a popular lefty formulation, if there’s no justice, there’s no peace. Naturally, the left hates it. For more than a century, lefties have talked about such a revolt. But if you really paid attention, the actual role of the working class in their working-class revolution was not to call the shots — it was to do what it was told by the “intellectual vanguard” of the left.
