Schumer Shenanigans Send Government Barreling
Toward Friday Night Shutdown

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 2/17/2022 11:09:03 AM

The federal government will shut down Friday night at 11:59:59 if Congress doesn't manage to pass yet another stopgap bill to keep the lights on amid multiple domestic and international crises. In the lower chamber, members are out of town this week after previously passing a temporary measure to fund the government through early March, meaning the ball is now in the Senate's court. There, though, Democrat leaders have hit a bit of a speed bump in what would have normally been a routine kick-the-can-down-the-road vote to keep the government.

Comments:

The usual suspect RINOs will bail out the reptilian schemer while making love in a brutal manner to us hardworking taxpayers at the same time.

They do this over and over and over. Its not like they did not know the deadline was coming up and that the House would be gone. It is long past time that Congress starts doing their jobs and do budgets when they are due. No more stopgap measure, no more temporary extensions. You have a year to do a budget. You had since October to come up with the new amount since the extension. Schumer and the Democrats have no excuse for not passing their budgets. House, Senate, and Presidency are all theirs. Suck it up and accept responsibility for your continued economic and budgetary failures.

I’m beginning to believe there never was any gold backing the US dollar. It’s probably whom ever has the most powerful military has the best economy. That’s why the uniparty has never worried about national debt going out of control. They just control the tools of the economy to make themselves powerfully rich and then heap crap on everything else.

#4 - The latest video on DiFi's website is from December 17, 2021. The website has daily updates but they consist of DiFi "joining" other Senate Dems calling for..."whatever". She had already stepped down from her co-chair position on the Senate Intelligence Committee at the end of Trump's administration. She is very sick. She should resign, but she can't. Her Chinese handlers don't believe in retirement. They intend to get every last breath and last vote from their bought merchandise. I doubt she's even sentient at this point, but that doesn't matter as her "vote" will be caste for her. #10 - A traditional budget has not been passed by either the House or the Senate since 2008. Beginning with the reign of "The One" they have just passed one continuing resolution after another. They found that the hard work of the Appropriations Committee, endless hearings and compromises really didn't need to be done. I doubt there are any remaining members who can even remember the old process. K Street writes all their legislation so they can have time to perfect their Kabuki Theater performances. Its all a sham. #16 - The House is the lower chamber, the Senate is the upper chamber of our bicameral legislature. I wish they would shut down the government. It would give we citizens some peace.

President Joe Biden is absolutely committed to punishing Russian President Vladimir Putin for his aggression in Ukraine. You can’t turn on the TV without some clip of the silver haired, senile embodiment of Jeff Dunham’s puppet Walter insisting he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make the butcher of Moscow pay for his evil actions. In spirit, I agree with him. In spirit, Biden actually imposed sanctions that matter, that hurt. In reality, he didn’t do a damn thing. Putin’s power comes from money, most of Putin’s money comes from oil and gas. It stands to reason that if you’re trying to punish him

It's like a cocoon for them. For a lot of them, Russia's 14th century-style conquest of Ukraine goes way beyond their processing capacities. We see statements and stunts like these from the left as news comes out about Russia's bloody and violent takeover of another sovereign country. What do Russian collusion, Hunter Biden's laptop, and Covid-19 vaccine mandates all have in common? They are all misinformation spread by the American propaganda media. The very young often fantasize that they will perform some great accomplishment that benefits humankind when they get older. A field that offers that kind of personal reward is journalism, having over 6,500 individuals employed in the United States. Many enter journalism knowing that the financial rewards may not be as attractive as other vocations, but the impact on society can be significant.

It’s one of the most awkward twenty seconds ever captured on video in a disastrous administration that lurches from one awkward moment to another: when asked “Do you think you may have underestimated Putin?,” Old Joe Biden first continued to stare in the general direction of the question, a slight smirk on his face, expression absolutely unchanged from what it had been before the question was asked. A few seconds later he turned his head to face the camera and, after a few more seconds, grinned sardonically. A few seconds later, he began picking his teeth with his thumbnail, and then grins

Canada is leaving the Western world. In terms of all-encompassing government, suppression of dissent and the denial of fundamental human rights to many of its citizens, Canada is now more similar to Cuba than to any free country. Canada may eventually return to Western civilization, but as of this writing, the majority of Canadians appear to have no interest in it doing so. According to Maru Public Opinion, "two-thirds (66%) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act ... A photograph came across my screen today that perfectly encapsulates what’s wrong with modern, traditional education. (I use the word “traditional” as a contrast to Montessori or Waldorf schools.) In it, we see that a child gave a correct answer to an ambiguous question, only to be told his answer was wrong because the teacher was unable to see beyond the confines of her answer book. Things like this turn students into the kind of mindless drones who think as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does.

The blockades by Canadian truckers that had completely shut down the U.S.-Canada border crossing at Detroit have been cleared by reopening the Ambassador Bridge, and as of Friday, Ottawa police have begun moving against truckers occupying central Ottawa. Despite these actions on the part of the Canadian government, the truckers comprising the “Freedom Convoy” hold their ground in defiance of threats of a police crackdown as they continue to disrupt other trade routes and cities, occupying the country’s capital for a third week. The members of the Freedom Convoy appear unyielding despite days of warnings from police and the government -- risking arrest and having their rigs seized and bank accounts frozen.

Justin Trudeau has ordered the seizure of all assets, the freezing of bank accounts, and the cancelation of credit cards for all persons identified by the government to be either directly or indirectly participating in, or supporting, the truckers who are protesting his vaccine mandate. In short, those Canadians exercising their right to assemble and speak freely in opposition to their government's policies will no longer be allowed to even buy food, pay rent, or otherwise provide for their families. And all this is in addition to their being arrested and forfeiting their trucks to the Crown.
