President Joe Biden is absolutely committed to punishing Russian President Vladimir Putin for his aggression in Ukraine. You can’t turn on the TV without some clip of the silver haired, senile embodiment of Jeff Dunham’s puppet Walter insisting he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make the butcher of Moscow pay for his evil actions. In spirit, I agree with him. In spirit, Biden actually imposed sanctions that matter, that hurt. In reality, he didn’t do a damn thing. The very young often fantasize that they will perform some great accomplishment that benefits humankind when they get older.

Canada is leaving the Western world. In terms of all-encompassing government, suppression of dissent and the denial of fundamental human rights to many of its citizens, Canada is now more similar to Cuba than to any free country. Canada may eventually return to Western civilization, but as of this writing, the majority of Canadians appear to have no interest in it doing so. According to Maru Public Opinion, "two-thirds (66%) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act ... A majority (56%) of Canadians do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form.
A photograph came across my screen today that perfectly encapsulates what’s wrong with modern, traditional education. (I use the word “traditional” as a contrast to Montessori or Waldorf schools.) In it, we see that a child gave a correct answer to an ambiguous question, only to be told his answer was wrong because the teacher was unable to see beyond the confines of her answer book. Things like this turn students into the kind of mindless drones who think as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does.

The blockades by Canadian truckers that had completely shut down the U.S.-Canada border crossing at Detroit have been cleared by reopening the Ambassador Bridge, and as of Friday, Ottawa police have begun moving against truckers occupying central Ottawa.
Despite these actions on the part of the Canadian government, the truckers comprising the “Freedom Convoy” hold their ground in defiance of threats of a police crackdown as they continue to disrupt other trade routes and cities, occupying the country’s capital for a third week.
The members of the Freedom Convoy appear unyielding despite days of warnings from police and the government -- risking arrest and having their rigs seized and bank accounts frozen.

Justin Trudeau has ordered the seizure of all assets, the freezing of bank accounts, and the cancelation of credit cards for all persons identified by the government to be either directly or indirectly participating in, or supporting, the truckers who are protesting his vaccine mandate.
In short, those Canadians exercising their right to assemble and speak freely in opposition to their government's policies will no longer be allowed to even buy food, pay rent, or otherwise provide for their families. And all this is in addition to their being arrested and forfeiting their trucks to the Crown.
The Hillary Clinton campaign attorney who has been indicted by Special Counsel John Durham for lying to federal investigators filed to have charges dismissed Thursday. "Attorneys for Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann filed a motion Thursday to dismiss the case against him in Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation, claiming a case of 'extraordinary prosecutorial overreach,'" Fox News reports.

Ukraine is fighting back.
And that for one must startle Vladimir Putin, who seems to have expected another Afghanistan-style takeover, the way the Taliban did it -- the Taliban marching in, the the local president loading up his money and flying off without a fight, and the boldest locals cramming onto U.S. waiting jets. Few fought back in that one and the disaster speaks for itself.
We don't see that in Ukraine. The U.S. offered Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a flight out and he refused it. "I need ammunition, not a ride," he reportedly told the U.S.
