The blockades by Canadian truckers that had completely shut down the U.S.-Canada border crossing at Detroit have been cleared by reopening the Ambassador Bridge, and as of Friday, Ottawa police have begun moving against truckers occupying central Ottawa. Despite these actions on the part of the Canadian government, the truckers comprising the “Freedom Convoy” hold their ground in defiance of threats of a police crackdown as they continue to disrupt other trade routes and cities, occupying the country’s capital for a third week. The members of the Freedom Convoy appear unyielding despite days of warnings from police and the government -- risking arrest and having their rigs seized and bank accounts frozen.

Seeing the Prime Minister in his various… ahem, COSTUMES over the past few years, and hearing him speak at the Parliament in Ottawa, with his immaculate shoulder-length cascading coiffure, the overwhelming impression is of an extremely cosseted hot-house plant. I wonder what hardships befell the Prime Minister in his climb to the top; having no idea of his personal biography I wonder if his ponce affect is a valid reflection of the man within. No question that politically the Canadian crackdown over which he presides is a gross overreaction, and reflects a complete misunderstanding of leadership. He is a product of a soporific Liberal electorate, anesthetized into complacency by miseducation and material wealth. A President Obama analog to the North— an effeminate man-boy promoted by media on the battlefield of the culture war, by brevet.

The truckers have made their point. Now they need to go by their bank, withdraw all their money and go home. Park their trucks and let's see how the Canadian's do without deliveries of bread and milk for about a month. If just half of the truckers do this, it will cripple the nation.

Justin Trudeau has ordered the seizure of all assets, the freezing of bank accounts, and the cancelation of credit cards for all persons identified by the government to be either directly or indirectly participating in, or supporting, the truckers who are protesting his vaccine mandate. In short, those Canadians exercising their right to assemble and speak freely in opposition to their government's policies will no longer be allowed to even buy food, pay rent, or otherwise provide for their families. And all this is in addition to their being arrested and forfeiting their trucks to the Crown.

The federal government will shut down Friday night at 11:59:59 if Congress doesn't manage to pass yet another stopgap bill to keep the lights on amid multiple domestic and international crises. In the lower chamber, members are out of town this week after previously passing a temporary measure to fund the government through early March, meaning the ball is now in the Senate's court. There, though, Democrat leaders have hit a bit of a speed bump in what would have normally been a routine kick-the-can-down-the-road vote to keep the government.

On February 9, 2022, Andrew W. Coy asked, “What’s the Deal with Mike Pence?” One thing is that former Vice President Pence was always a weak leader. While he was governor, Indiana passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 2015, which essentially clarified a federal law that Democrats overwhelmingly sponsored and President Clinton signed into law. Then-senator Barack Obama supported a similar state law in Illinois. Indiana’s version simply stated that, in civil cases, courts could consider religious burdens that the conflict caused. The law never said religion would trump any other right.

“Every word he says he is a lie. A nose as long as the trucker‘s convoy.” Dr. Jordan B. Peterson When thousands of truckers drove toward Ottawa in protest against the vaccine mandates, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described them as “the small fringe minority” holding “unacceptable views.” As the movement gained momentum and the truckers were joined and cheered on by scores of their compatriots objecting to Canada’s regime of Covid oppression, Trudeau implied that they were racists and Nazis. This he added on top of his earlier characterization of those who object to his policies as misogynists, science deniers, purveyors of misinformation and conspiracy theorists.

The old stereotype of Canadians as slow-talking, syrup-slurping igloo jockeys has been dashed this week as our friends to the north have launched a peaceful working class revolt against the blackface-wearing clown they have as their prime minister, as well as against that country’s entire ruling caste. We patriotic Americans stand in solidarity with the big rig truckers pushing back against The Man – although that assumes their oppressor’s gender. But, in this Age of Insanity, there’s always the possibility of chaos – even in Canada.

Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies told Vanity Fair she had watched Alec Baldwin’s bombshell interview with ABC in December and was drawn to the actor’s claim that he did not pull the trigger. “You can pull the hammer back without actually pulling the trigger and without actually locking it,” Carmack-Altwies said. “So you pull it back partway, it doesn’t lock, and then if you let it go, the firing pin can hit the primer of the bullet.”
