House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday that "defund the police" is not a position held by the Democratic Party after progressive Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) recently reiterated her support for the controversial slogan. Asked by host George Stephanopoulos during an interview on ABC's "This Week" about what the Democrats' response to crime should be, Pelosi said she disagrees with Bush's statement that calling for police to be defunded.

Nancy may be a lot of things, but stupid is usually not one of them. Although having been rolled by the Squad has put this in question. Any smart Democrat who thinks he/she/ze has a shot at re-election is going to be pro-police and anti-mask until about the second week of November.

President Biden received hundreds of thousands of “excess” votes in Democratic-controlled areas in the 2020 election, according to an academic study on voter fraud that suggests the push to relax voting standards created new opportunities for electoral mischief. John R. Lott Jr., the man behind the research, teased out those numbers by comparing Democratic-dominant areas to Republican-dominant places over the past two presidential elections, particularly in places where claims of election fraud were reported in 2020.

The complaint, filed last week against Milwaukee Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson, former Mayor Tom Barrett, and City Clerk Jim Owczarski, claims the officials violated Wisconsin's election bribery law by taking private donations from the non-profit Center for Tech and Civic Life, which is funded by billionaire Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.

ERBIL, Iraq (Reuters)—Iran‘s Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for a dozen ballistic missiles that struck Iraq's northern Kurdish regional capital of Erbil in the early hours of Sunday, Iran‘s state media reported, adding that the attack was against Israeli "strategic centres" in Erbil. The missiles targeted the U.S. consulate among other sites, according to the Kurdish regional government. The missile attack comes as talks to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal face the prospect of collapse after a last-minute Russian demand forced world powers to pause negotiations for an undetermined time despite having a largely completed text.

Punxsutawney Phil made his annual prediction as another major winter storm is bringing heavy snow, ice and freezing rain to a large portion of the country. Thousands of people from around the nation and other countries gathered at Gobbler's Knob as members of Phil's "inner circle" summoned him from his tree stump at dawn to learn if he had seen his shadow, a message they said Phil communicated in "groundhogese." After Phil's prediction was announced, the crowd repeatedly chanted "six more weeks!"

In one instance, Biden told a group of American troops in Poland that they were going to see the “backbone” and “guts” of the Ukrainian people “when you’re there,” suggesting the U.S. was putting boots on the ground in Ukraine, in contrast with White House statements and talking points.

In Boston University Law Review article “The Antiracist Constitution,” the Washington and Lee University professor alleges our nation’s founding document “serves white supremacy.” He aids his argument with George Floyd’s death, the Fugitive Slave Act, and the fact that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. The professor points out a peculiarity: It is June 28, 1776. The Continental Congress orders that Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence “lie on the table.” … Jefferson, who enslaves hundreds of people, nonetheless includes an assertion that “all men are created equal.” Moving forward to fugitive slaves: It is September 18, 1850.
