Keanu Reeves Has a Message for China

Hollywood’s love affair with China has been well documented. But Hollywood actors’ love affair with China has not. In recent years, American actors like Michael Douglas, Michael Pitt, Frank Grillo (who played a starring role in “Wolf Warrior 2,” the highest-grossing Chinese film in history), Bruce Willis, and Adrien Brody have all contributed to the pro-China narrative.Thankfully, there is one actor who’s not interested in apologizing to the CCP. That man is Keanu Reeves.

Comments:

He's one-of-a-kind.

He's also reported to have given the special effects crew on one of the matrix movies his $50 million take because he said they did all the hard work and he wasn't anyone without them. As far as I know he's honestly truly a really good person all around.

I love the guy. He made a movie called 47 Ronin and I've watched it several times. It's really good. I noticed a list online the other day naming the ten worst movies and 47 Ronin was # 10. They are fools. It was great and Keanu is a humble man and there are never any bad words about him. I know his sister had leukemia but I never heard how she's doing. I also think he had a girlfriend and a baby and the baby died. His life has not been easy but it hasn't hardened him. All of H'wood should take lessons from him.

My favorite Keanu story is the one about the time his Skywest flight from SFO to Burbank had to make an emergency landing in Bakersfield, which was closed at the time. Rather than call a limo for himself and leave everyone else stranded for the hours it would take the airline to arrange bus transportation, he hired a van and gave his fellow passengers and their luggage a free ride down to LA. Posed for photos and answered questions the whole way. Gotta love any celebrity who would do that.

I'm a bit late in my latest reading here. Haven't read this article yet. Just wanted to say that I have seen dozens of pictures of Reeves standing closely to all these Bollywood (sic) harlots. When they are pouring themselves all over him, note where his hands are. Many of these show his hand(s) held away from their bodies. Reminds me of the guys who refuse to get on elevators alone with women... Always has a witness present. And as I always do in my posts - Been voting since '71 (My first Prez election vote was for Richard Nixon). I'm most proud that I have **NEVER** voted for a D-rat.

I didn’t know anything about Reeves but am glad to hear all of your comments about him. I have to say that I’m really disappointed that Bruce Willis is clamped onto the CCP teat. Mr. Reeves has always walked his own path and done very well by it. Too bad that the rest of those celebs are going to find out what slavery feels like. Chinese investors have been trying like mad to take over several of the studios of Hollywood. Trump stopped them for the most part, but using the threat of shutting down their market could be an end-run play on the part of Beijing. The Asian market is the biggest in the world right now, and that is what the movies are targeting. That is why most of the movies out of Hollywood are garbage. They are no longer making them for us, but for China.

So why are people like Bruce Willis supporting the Chinese? The chinese are the only funders of movies that hire white men. Actors truly are hookers. Hollywood is going thru a death spiral. Movies that appeal to the public can be made anywhere. Next to be destroyed? Hollywood unions. Think the chinese love them some unions? LOL. Not for long. Push comes to shove unions and their pay rules are the new fossils.

I remember going to see Speed in the movie theater. Back when the whole movie experience was worth a darn. It was so exciting I watched it 3 times. Keanu Reeves was great and Sandra Bullock was a doll. Over the years I've kept up with his career and not only has it been scandal free he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. This not sucking up to the Chicoms isn't at all surprising.

The Biden administration is preparing to sign up the United States to a “legally binding” accord with the World Health Organization (WHO) that would give this Geneva-based UN subsidiary the authority to dictate America’s policies during a pandemic. Despite widespread criticism of the WHO’s response to the COVID pandemic, U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra joined with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in September 2022 to announce “the U.S.-WHO Strategic Dialogue.” Together, they developed a “platform to maximize the longstanding U.S. government-WHO partnership, and to protect and promote the health of all people around the globe, including the American people.”

The school board election was central in Saturday’s discussion on critical race theory hosted by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and Blount County United. One school of thought primarily manifested in the race relations symposium, and speakers encouraged the audience to be active in the community. Katy Chiles, an author and professor at UT, presented the symposium’s section on understanding critical race theory. Chiles started with a definition, a contrast and a call for action. Critical race theory is, she said, a framework to analyze origins of racial inequities in America. It is not, she contrasted, a label for white oppression or guilt.

Social Security and Medicare are on an “unsustainable course” and will run out of funds by 2037. That’s the conclusion reached by the General Accountability Office (GAO) and the Social Security Administration. There is no saving these programs without massive changes. And demagoguing the issue, as Joe Biden and the Democrats are doing, only delays the day of reckoning. To pretend these programs don’t need intervention now — right now — is to play with dynamite. The sooner we can get started, the less pain will be inflicted on senior citizens. Pain there will be.
