Newly-retired NFL legend Tom Brady is planning to move his family into a sprawling eco-estate on Miami's exclusive Indian Creek island, and DailyMail.com has obtained exclusive photos of the mansion being constructed.Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen made plans to move to the high-security enclave - dubbed Billionaire Bunker - after they purchased a $17million property there in late 2020. They've since torn down a pre-existing 5,772-square-foot home on the lot and are erecting a state-of-the-art eco-friendly mansion in its place. Aerial photos show the construction process underway. The lot has been cleared and structures are beginning to take shape on the two-acre property, which boasts an oceanfront

Wait - I’m confused. Isn’t it kind of an oxymoron to “tear down the existing house” to build a new ECO house?! Isn’t that the opposite of being ecologically sound??? I get that newer is better and more efficient, but all the debris created by razing the old house plus the manufacturing footprint on everything the new house needs …. What am I missing??

#1, they decided not to hire Chip and Joanne, who appreciate their 40 acres in TX and loved the lines and classic style of their new [old] “farm house,” only adding a Master Suite…
Give Tom and Giselle the benefit of the doubt, this is still America, Land of the Free and Home of the Brave… for awhile longer, LORD Willing.
And maybe Giselle and Ivanka are friends and they wanted to be nearby…

Why not, he earned it. Who would want to live beside the riff-raff they play ball with? New England fans and players are going nuts over this. Best of luck to him, not that he needs it.

Floridians are used to the, level and then rebuild it, process, especially along our shorelines. It's Tom's money; he earned it, he can spend it however he pleases. The rubble will probably be used to create artificial fishing reefs. I know here in SWFL, they have been actively doing so for years and have have/had a FL Fish and Game program where one could purchase the GPS coordinates of these new reefs.

I never thought much of Brady as a person. After he got his first fiancee pregnant and then dumped her for Giselle, I thought, and still do that he was a total cad. Great athlete, but not a good man.
And Walter Payton is the GOAT. I loved seeing Sweetness break out and run like the wind.

Good for them. They've both worked hard and seem like good people; however, if I had $17 million to build a house, I would not want it as close, as it appears it's going to be, to my neighbor's house.

Yup #1. I once had to have a conversation with my minister after she was railing on big gas guzzling vehicles. She had no clue how her (& husband) pattern of purchasing a new Volvo every couple of years was consuming far more energy in production than the operating energy differential between the Volvo's and the very gas guzzlers she was criticizing. She is a good person, not intentionally hypocritical, very intelligent, just way out of her lane.

FYI re: Brady son with woman not his wife. She wanted an abortion. He paid her to have the boy and saved his life. Google to learn who she is and how the son has been a member of the Brady family since his birth.
So glad the GOAT retired before he became the goat and got hurt.

The Daily Mail seems upset for some reason. Maybe it's because of the reason that #1 has stated. Tearing down a perfectly good house which could have been renovated for much less doesn't make much sense to me, but then again, I don't have the kind of money Brady has.

So the sleaze puppy is going to leave liberalville and move to Florida? That new mansion of theirs is going to cost double or triple due to all the shortages in the building industry.
I do not consider Tom Brady any kind of greatest player of all time. His former coach Belicheat stole playbooks from their opponents so Brady could look amazing. He is a good player, but he had to cheat his way to that level in many ways. That is why he stuck by Belicheat all those years. Is he going to give most of his SB rings back? After all, he cheated to get them.
Montana, Young and several other QB's are considered GOAT. I don't consider Brady anything near that at all.

Absentia of cortex wants everyone to tear up their home to put in the kind of insulation she prefers. It has been a problematic undertaking in the UK.
But absentia probably never thought too “deeply” about the issue. I think she has moved on to a new shiny meme.

#1, I wondered almost the same thing when a bunch of lefties in our area decided to build an eco-village in what was woods and farmland. They tore down all the trees and built “eco houses” on the land and patted themselves endlessly on the back for being so caring of Mother Earth, when they should have bought and renovated existing houses instead. Hypocrites and idiots.

Re #12, Brady and Bridget Moynahan share their son Jack. The adults have a friendly relationship. How about a a link for that allegation about abortion.

Sorry for the second post, Bright Moynihan is older than Tom Brady. While dating him, with her biological clock ticking, she pressured him to marry and start a family. He kept telling her he wasn't ready to do so yet. It was a matter of contention between them. They broke up and it wasn't until 2 or 3 months AFTER he was dating his future wife, that Moynihan announced she was pregnant with his baby. (Oldest trick in the book? Maybe.) Anyhow, Brady stepped up to the plate and said he would always take care of his child, and has. Jack has always loved and been included in every Brady activity, vacation, family endeavor and even Briget has said so. He has been a great father to ALL of his children. Do a search on it for yourself.

"Eco-mansion"-- what a nonsensical concept.
But, it is his money, he can spend it how ever he wants.
