Let’s get something straight: there was absolutely nothing racist or sexist about a pair of tweets by Ilya Shapiro last week criticizing President Biden for his blatantly racist and sexist decision to consider only black women for nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. Every single person who saw them knows that — especially the people who immediately tried to get Shapiro fired for it. That’s really what this is all about. The feigned outrage over Shapiro’s tweets is nothing more than a pretext for trying to get him run out of his new job at Georgetown Law School,

I disagree with Shapiro, when he says we almost certainly will not get the best candidate. The problem is that we will never know if we got the best candidate, and the unfortunate part of affirmative action, is that the very best black candidates resent it deeply. Dementia Jo's handlers should be ashamed of themselves. They bobbled a task, and made lots of people angry.

Doesn't the US Constitution prohibit use of race and/or religious beliefs as a criterion for serving in a office for the US Government. Oh well..it also says you should be a Natural Born citizen to be President.

Making immutable and irrelevant physical characteristics the primary criteria in a hiring decision is a textbook example of racism.

The republicans should start demanding that Breyer's slot must be given to an Asian-American. Make Joe fight that battle.

Have you heard about the latest in educational pedagogy: Identify Your Privilege Bingo. Who needs math, or English, or History in preparing young men and women for the challenges facing us as individuals and as a country? No, what we need is another exercise of identity politics to drive home the point of just how unfair – sorry, didn’t use the proper “buzz” word here – how inequitable life is in this most unjust of countries that rewards the privileged while oppressing mercilessly those without privilege. But what makes for privilege? That’s the really interesting question, and one that will identify the motives

Over last weekend, attorneys for Carter Page filed responses to motions to dismiss filed by the FBI and eight agents involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation that led to the government illegally obtaining four surveillance warrants to spy on Page. In November 2020, Page, who had briefly served as a volunteer advisor to the Trump campaign, sued the defendants in a D.C. federal court alleging violations of the Fourth Amendment, the Patriot Act, and the Privacy Act. In response, the government and the individual defendants argued Page’s claims were time-barred or that Page had no legal grounds on which to sue. Page’s responses counter those arguments while providing five key take-aways.

Jane Mayer of The New Yorker magazine and her fellow lefties are ramping up attacks on conservative Supreme Court justices, as they fear the court is getting ready to issue a host of decisions they won’t like, most especially a ruling that may overturn Roe v. Wade. Mayer published a pathetic “hit” piece last week on Ginni Thomas, a long-time conservative activist and the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas. It’s a dud. Mayer’s article, titled “Ginni Thomas’ Crusades: Is Ginni Thomas a threat to the Supreme Court?” is full of falsehoods and distortions, consistent with the malicious and error-filled book she co-authored in 1994, “Strange Justice: The Selling of Clarence Thomas.”

Australia has rightfully been criticized for its ‘COVID zero’ policy. It’s locked down the country. The borders were closed, and concentration-like camps were built. All of this to contain a virus with a 99-plus percent survival rate. The nation is now super-vaccinated as well, with every state having an 80 percent rate among those who are 16 years of age or older. That was the ticket to loosening the regulations. Still, ‘Australia has fallen’ still manages to make it into the trending topics on social media, with various clips showing how this nation has descended rapidly into authoritarianism to contain COVID.

The idea is to “avoid” these companies: Cancel Culture for the Cancel Culture, one might say. As noted previously, some of the companies that make up our list are extremely difficult to eliminate from our lives, but they can still be avoided on occasion. And such avoidance mustn’t be limited merely to doing business directly with these organizations, there are other ways for our voices to be heard. For instance, refuse to invest in these companies, whether through direct stock purchases or perhaps via mutual/index funds in your portfolios. America is still a center-right country, and we’re continuing to shift ever so slightly to the right.

Joe Biden has been in the Oval Office (or that weird set in the Eisenhower building’s South Court auditorium with the greenscreen windows) for a year now, and he’s already managed to make his short presidency known for a long line-up of scandals, botches, and slip-ups. It’s too hard to narrow the list down to one top failure, although his disgracefully handled Afghanistan withdrawal may be the most sobering and inflation may be the one that played the biggest role in Biden’s tanking approval ratings. Even though Biden’s mess-ups tally up to far more than 12, it’s not hard to remember a Biden-enabled disaster

Video footage recently surfaced on Twitter showing C4 explosives being dropped by a drone near a town in Michoacán, Mexico, reportedly by members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, following hours of clashes between armed groups. In the video, a small explosion hits a woodland camp, a cluster of tents amid dense trees and dirt roads. Men scatter, running for cover. Another volley of explosives is released. When it hits, the camp erupts in flames. The drone lingers, its camera darting around, zooming in and out over the camp as it burns, like it’s looking for something.

For a while now, I’ve noted the development of what seems to clearly be turning into the 21st-century version of the Axis of Evil. It’s composed of Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, and arguably Turkey. All of these repressive governments have been growing increasingly aggressive on the world stage and simultaneously seemed to become increasingly comfortable supporting each other where possible. Two of the members, China and Iran, took the process one step further this week, announcing a 25-year “cooperation agreement” between Beijing and Tehran. During the same announcement, China formally reiterated its opposition to the United States and international sanctions against Iran.

Last summer I was notified of secret overnight flights coming into Westchester County Airport that were transporting thousands of illegal immigrants apprehended at the southern border. Having overseen the airport during my tenure as county executive, I knew that flights arriving after midnight are not allowed so I started asking questions publicly. Who are on these planes? Have they been vetted and COVID tested? How many flights so far and how many more are scheduled? Where are these illegal immigrants being placed and who is paying for all this? Have background checks been done, especially on the adults? What happened next was entirely predictable.

A new court filing by special counsel John Durham reveals that Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz concealed crucial information from Durham in connection with the ongoing prosecution of Michael Sussmann, a former attorney to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. The filing also reveals that Horowitz failed to disclose that his office is in possession of two cellphones used by former FBI general counsel James Baker. The phones may contain information that’s important to the Sussmann case, as well as to a separate criminal leak investigation of Baker that Durham personally conducted between 2017 and 2019.

One of the main tenants for a stable and law-abiding society is a judicial system that enforces laws and ensures equal justice for all.The reverse is true in progressive cities, resulting in an increase in crime. Various government organizations, even all the way up to the Department of Justice, have gone astray. Social justice warriors are now in positions in the DOJ to implement “racial justice”, which determines how to prosecute cases based on the race and/or social justice cause, not commensurate with the crimes committed.A perfect example can be seen in a murder committed by a BLM arsonist.
