Australia Radically Changes COVID Policy
As Omicron Sweeps Through Nation

Original Article

Australia has rightfully been criticized for its ‘COVID zero’ policy. It’s locked down the country. The borders were closed, and concentration-like camps were built. All of this to contain a virus with a 99-plus percent survival rate. The nation is now super-vaccinated as well, with every state having an 80 percent rate among those who are 16 years of age or older. That was the ticket to loosening the regulations. Still, ‘Australia has fallen’ still manages to make it into the trending topics on social media, with various clips showing how this nation has descended rapidly into authoritarianism to contain COVID.

Comments:

One of the few countries who have handled COVID worse than Biden, and these are the results.

In my lifetime, I have always considered the Aussies to be a tough bunch of folks, given their beginnings as a penal colony. Now we are watching a nation which pushed forward to civilization, only to take a centuries sized leap backwards to their roots. This just breaks my heart to see such ignorant leadership in what I always considered one of the bright lights of the Commonwealth. But tyrants are gonna tyrant, it is in their genetics.

I'd like to see a chart of how omicron compares to other diseases that are "mild, though super contagious". Apparently, measles and chicken pox are more contagious than omicron, along with influenza and the common cold (all several hundred viruses that qualify.) Which one of them should result in national lockdowns and quarantines?

The article puts out a claim which are unsupported by the facts in evidence. For example: "Given that Omicron is mild and the population is highly vaccinated, the outcomes aren’t as devastating pre-vaccine. That’s the logic." The outcomes before these mRNA shots were not devastating for most healthy people under 70. The overwhelming majority of people who were infected never even got noticeably sick, never reported it to anyone. Look at Sweden. They did almost nothing, mostly protected the very weak and the virus moved through, killed some vulnerable people, like influenza does, and Sweden moved on without significant economic damage. In the whole of the first world, only Sweden got it right. Australia got it very wrong, as did New Zealand, and Israel. The 99.98% survival statistic is way off, because of not including huge numbers who got infected and recovered without becoming part of the data set. Huge numbers infected but unreported. This is widely ignored, of course, because it doesn't help scare people. How many actually infected but never part of the calculations? A lot. But how to convince people that it is more deadly? Falsely attribute 96% of the deaths by offering bounties to hospitals. Of the "500,000 US COVID deaths" widely quoted, according to CDC, 96% are not "from" Wuhan virus. So that leaves 4%, or 20,000 actually FROM the Wuhan virus.....about 1/3 of a worse-than-average 60,000 death influenza year. Not devastating. Certainly dangerous to older people, and the infirm, yes. But so is the annual flu. The whole thing has been massively manipulated. Yes, there is a real virus, yes it has killed a lot of people, but so does influenza every year, without the hysteria, and with NO disruption of most of our lives. The fraud is "over" because the totalitarians cannot sustain the lies any longer. THAT is what is happening. The excuses are just that, excuses.

This does make one wonder; was the deliberate release by the ChiComms of this previously unknown threat to mankind choreographed in advance with the west's leftist crowd? Or was it a case of those with evil intent in the west quickly seeing a benefit to their evil cause and just running with it, making it all up on the fly?

Things are turning, indeed, out there… out in the truck stops and the households fending off repossession and the small businesses struggling desperately for survival — even in the degenerate halls of government… If the ads on the Superbowl each year are like a Rorschach test for the nation’s mental condition, then this year’s ad-roll was a cavalcade of frantic hallucinations suggesting a near-complete detachment from reality for an audience of ADD-disabled cell phone slaves locked into a Big Tech induced consensus trance. You could barely tell what these advertisers were trying to sell in their commercials, the psychotic dazzle of half-second jump-cuts was so ferocious.

Today in Finland, lawyers for Member of Parliament Paivi Rasanen and Bishop Juhana Pohjola will make their final arguments defending the two against “hate crimes” charges for publicly expressing their Christian beliefs. While intended to suppress Christianity and criminalize the Bible, with ramifications for the entire West, the prosecution has also created opportunities to proclaim Christian theology all over the world, Rasanen told The Federalist in an exclusive interview last week. “I was happy to have the possibility to also tell the gospel—the solution to the problem of sin—in front of the court and in front of the media,” she said.

After we published our List #5 a few weeks ago, one of our readers, Greg Ennis, left us this simple comment: “Who the hell is left?” Thanks for your input, Greg, and unfortunately, depending on the industry, that’s an excellent question. With the technology and apparel industries, for instance, finding alternatives to the companies on our list isn’t easy. Nonetheless, it’s important to understand the companies with whom we’re doing business. And just because there’s no viable alternative for an insidiously woke monopoly or oligarchy right now doesn’t mean there won’t be other options in a year.

One of the victims can clearly be seen being driven over, as the Jeep’s operator indiscriminately steers into others. Thankfully, no one was killed in the incident. A three-year battle in Vermont is coming to a head over Proposal 5, an amendment to the state constitution that would enshrine existing Vermont abortion “liberties” to terminate pregnancies up until birth. Roe v. Wade established “viability” as the determinant of when state governments hold a “compelling” interest to protect children. The current challenge to Roe in the Supreme Court concerns a Mississippi law that would ban abortions after 15 weeks. Vermont’s Proposal 5 essentially defines fetal viability at 40 weeks (birth), ignoring both Roe and the science of human development.

It must be nice to be a Democrat in 2022. Think about it: You don’t have to be constrained by truth, reality, or the consequences of ignoring them. Isn’t postmodernism great?! Nothing – and I mean that literally – that a Democrat politician says or their clueless voters believe is rooted in objective truth. Pick a position of theirs. Any position. Jen Psaki recently made a spiteful, idiotic comment that highlights this phenomenon. The soft-on-crime approach that she scoffed at is resulting in record-breaking carjackings, murders, and retail theft.
