President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he put a "dead dog" on the doorstep of a woman with different political beliefs while he served on a county council. "And I represented a middle-class district to a working-class district, but there was one very wealthy neighborhood," he told the National Association of Counties conference in an introduction to the dog story. Biden served on the New Castle County Council in Deleware for two years in the early 1970s. "I got a call one night; the woman said to me — obviously not of the same persuasion as I was, politically — called me and said, 'There’s a dead dog on my lawn.'"

According to a recent Politico report, the DCCC insists that the source of their woes is GOP “culture war attacks” and the solution is better messaging.

A recent Rasmussen poll discloses that about 50% of the electorate would like to impeach President Biden. The numbers include more than 30% of Democrats and upwards of 40% of independents. This is despite mostly positive coverage from the mainstream press during the first year of his presidency.What is going on here?

As has been widely reported, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the latest inflation numbers last Thursday, and they were ugly. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 7.5 percent during the 12-month period ending in January, its largest one-year spike in 40 years. This dwarfs the inflation rate of 1.4 percent that President Biden and the Democratic Congress inherited in January of 2021. BLS also reported that real earnings decreased 1.7 percent from January 2021 to January 2022. All of this is directly attributable to the incompetent economic policies of the Biden administration and wild spending by congressional Democrats in the midst of a supply chain crisis.
The good news for Joe Biden in today’s CNN poll: his job approval got above 40%. The bad news is that there are nearly no undecideds when it comes to his performance as president. Biden hits a high of 58% disapproval in the latest CNN survey and gets a -17 gap in approval that manages to outstrip his already-pathetic RCP aggregate gap.CNN’s data provides the real takeaway, which is that Biden’s confidence-crisis cascade has accelerated rather than slowed:

But now some House Democrats are following the lead of Democratic governors, calling for an end to mask mandates — even as their party imposes one in the House chamber. Charges of hypocrisy are in the air.
Last year, House Democrats enacted new rules that fine offenders (namely protesting Republicans) $500 the first time they fail to mask up, and $2,500 per infraction after that.

At the Ivy League Championship Swim Meet last weekend, Thomas easily won four events, setting pool and league records. She may be the most-improved swimmer in history. She was ranked 462nd in the country a few years ago, and is now ranked Number 1.
The difference is not that her swim times have gotten better. It’s that her competition has gotten worse. Her Number 462 ranking was against men, while her Number 1 ranking is against women.
