Ron DeSantis Goes Yard on Florida Republicans
Looking to Surrender on Redistricting

Original Article

As RedState reported previously, the Florida Senate, led by Republican Wilton Simpson (currently endorsed by Donald Trump to run for Agriculture Commissioner), released two “final” Congressional redistricting map proposals a week ago. To be frank, those maps were an absolute giveaway to Democrats, taking things from the current 16-11 R to D map to a 16-12 R to D map. It was beyond comprehension why any Florida Republican would look to surrender on redistricting in the face of massive gerrymanders by Democrats in states like California, Illinois, New York, and Maryland. It mimicked the inexplicable proposal coming from GOP leadership in Missouri.

Comments:

I was hoping this would happen.

Good for DeSantis. When the Democrats mock him, just look at Pennsylvania, where Wolf just countered the Republican redistricting with his own. (Of course, the ridiculous issue is that DeSantis had to challenge his own party's plan.)

It's questionable whether DeSantis' plan will pass the legislature/muster. Unbelievable. Our side comes out the gate losers. They only talk about fighting, and they punk out when one person or one group stands up to do the right and sensible thing. Thank God the Yard Dog threatens to veto lame redistricting moves from these chicken-poop pubs. Floridians, vote the punks out; you have a great governor.

RINOs make me puke. The Democraps just got a map approved in Illinois that is absolutely laughable. My district looks like a snake that runs 3/4s of the length of the entire state. It screams 'gerrymandering', but the Dems built it and approved it. Trump carried all but about 5 of 102 counties in Illinois, and yet we only have 3 congressional seats in the new map against 14 communists. Before, we were 13/5. So, we lose a seat, but the Democraps worked it out so that it cost Republicans two seats, and they GAINED one.

Governor DeSantis understands that wimp Republicans who refuse to courageously use the majority power when they get it need to be exposed and confronted at every turn. I just love his leadership style!!

Matt Walsh, Daily Wire podcast host and best-selling children’s author, made an appearance on Dr. Phil that will reverberate across the country for quite some time. Destroying the narrative that men can identify as women and actually become women, Walsh put one very simple question to the opposing debaters who outnumbered him three to one. “What is a woman?” The guests who were arguing the narrative that men can be women didn’t have an answer for that. “One of the problems with the left-wing gender ideology is that no one who espouses it can even tell you what these words mean,” said Walsh. “What is a woman?”

The terrorist who held four people hostage inside a Texas synagogue unleashed an expletive-ridden, anti-Semitic rant during a chilling final call to his family — in which he expressed his wish for martyrdom and said he would come “home in a f–king body bag,” according to a report. In an audio of the conversation obtained by the Jewish Chronicle, Malik Faisal Akram told his brother, Gulbar, 43, in Blackburn during the siege at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville that he has “come to die.” “I’m opening the doors for every youngster in England to enter America and f–k with them!” said Akram, 43, who addressed fellow jihadists.

Though there were many wild and eye-opening moments during President Biden’s press conference Wednesday, perhaps none of them were quite as bizarre as the exchange that occurred between Biden and RealClearNews reporter Philip Wegmann. As we reported, when Wegmann was called on to ask Biden some questions after the speech he gave, something he asked about were the remarks Biden made at that Georgia rally last week where he compared his political opponents to notable Democrat racists from the past like Bull Connor, George Wallace, and Jefferson Davis. “You know, you campaigned and you ran on a return to civility,” Wegmann began. “And I know that you dispute the characterization

President Biden’s marathon two-hour press conference Wednesday was an exercise in self-delusion. The reality of American voters’ lived experience of his presidency is evident in his plummeting polls after a hellish first year of self-inflicted crises, from Afghanistan to inflation to illegal migration. And yet the president declared to the world that he is doing a tremendous job and has “achieved more than any president in history.” He blamed Republicans for any stumbles, despite the fact that his party controls the White House, the House and the Senate. Only a couple of things would he do differently, he said.

From the moment COVID-19 appeared, the pandemic became inseparable from politics. Political frenzy was inevitable since the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have escaped from a level-4-security virology lab in Wuhan, China. The rapid-fire spread soon threatened to indict the Chinese Communist government for nearly destroying the world economy and killing millions. Western elites, in response, feared that their own lucrative investments in China would be jeopardized by such disclosures — and so acted accordingly in defending Beijing. Nonetheless, one scenario that remains intriguing is that the escaped virus was birthed by gain-of-function research scientists, overseen by elements of the Chinese Communist military. Worse, the lab was given subsidies by US health authorities,

Schumer knew that he was likely to get a “no” on the filibuster from Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). They’ve only been holding fast on the subject for months.
