FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams announced her resignation Friday in an open letter addressed to President Biden, just weeks after she warned of a "hostile takeover" of the agency by Democrats. McWilliams, a Serbian immigrant, has lived in the country for decades and boasts a successful career in law, finance, and banking policy. "When I immigrated to this country 30 years ago, I did so with a firm belief in the American system of government," McWilliams wrote in the letter. "During my tenure at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the United States Senate, and the FDIC, I have developed a deep appreciation for these venerable institutions and their traditions."

She was Chairman, and quit. The Democrats could not get around that. She did not use the power when she was in possession of it, something Republicans do, but not Democrats.

Bull crap Republichickens never use their power to make progress. The Democrats use positions like this to take control and destroy the rule of law. Republicans just maintain the Status Quo at best but truth be known they are both part of the Uniparty whose goal is global control.

A Trump holdover. Surprised there are any left. They wanted her gone. The article does not go into detail about why she quit, but it does say the banking board was controlled by the other party, and they were working around her to institute their own agenda. The article showed her testifying before a Senate and House committee where the topic was "Making the banking system work for everyone". What will an incompetent corrupt 'woke' Communist anti-American banking system look like? First and foremost, the Democrats are thieves. The Lady Chihuahua says it was shades of Midas Mulligan in Atlas Shrugged. Look for another banking crisis. One that the FDIC will be unable to cover and will try to cover up. The current administration has wrecked everything else. F Joe Biden!

#17 - Term limits don't work. Californians voted for term limits back in the 1990's. Instead of squatting in one position for decades the thieves play musical chairs; from state assemblyman to state senator, then on to the federal congress and possibly the senate. If they run out of elected offices, there remains the myriad appointments to the endless commissions that regulate every aspect of our lives. New boss same as the old boss.

Addendum: Also term limits do not apply to staff. The civil service protected staff positions become even more powerful as the "face" of the elected leader will be gone in 8 years.

One of President Biden's judicial nominees reportedly disparaged various voting restrictions in the United States, including by comparing slavery to the ban on felons voting and "proof of citizenship" to "voter suppression." "When you add laws that prohibit people with a criminal conviction from voting, it’s practically the same system as during slavery – Black people who have lost their freedom and cannot vote," attorney Nancy Gbana Abudu said in a post for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The Biden presidency stands for more than incompetence, bad governance, and the loss of American prestige around the world. This White House has also demonstrated a willingness to endanger Americans and non-Americans alike in pursuit of its political and ideological goals, particularly in its actions in Afghanistan and at the southern border. Much of this conduct, under reverse partisan circumstances, would trigger not only media hysteria but, quite likely, impeachment.

Many today are concerned about the rising generation’s exposure to a cultural virus, that is being "woke"—and rightly so. But I’m one from that generation who has been inoculated against it. My Christian upbringing, my time in a public charter school, and my history teacher’s use of the Socratic method provided a foundation I needed to withstand it all. Too many of my Gen Z peers aren’t on such solid ground, however. The nuclear family and American education are disintegrating—and traditional values are disappearing along with it. This leaves teenagers with no framework nor principles by which they can heroically live. It’s my generation’s void.

Throughout the country, several states have since taken steps to remove CRT or CRT-adjacent topics in classrooms. Host Chuck Todd opened the segment appearing to criticize these laws, suggesting that they would prevent teachers in Oklahoma from teaching "why" the Tulsa Massacre occurred.

"Soon we realized that there were other moments, in addition to birthdays, that we wanted to hold up as special and recognized. Our regular dinner plates are white, so red seemed like a good choice to stand out from the rest and highlight a person's spot at the table."

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old.
