Vice President Kamala Harris struggled to give a coherent answer when asked about the economy and inflation during a Sunday interview on CBS. Harris appeared on "Face the Nation" when host Margaret Brennan asked her on the issues of inflation going into the "third year" of a pandemic. "Was it wrong to consider inflation transitory? These price spikes seem like they’re going to be with us for a while," Brennan asked. The question referred to a previous statement pushed by White House press secretary Jen Psaki that insisted inflation was only "transitory" and should go down within the next year. Since then economists have admitted inflation has only gotten worse

LOL! This is what you get when you are an idiot, yet are convinced that you are REALLY SMART and don't need to read your staff briefing docs or listen to staff briefings.

Understanding Economics requires a basic understanding of Math. And Math is hard. Trying to understand what has happened to our economy is somewhat baffling - even to me, and I think I know everything. I ordered a gift on line, for 45 dollars, and to get free shipping, I had to spend 50 dollars, so I ordered a knife that was on clearance. The knife, licensed by the U.S. Marine Corps, was made in China, with CHINESE lettering on the box. What the hell are we doing?? Nikita Kruschev, visiting the U.S. in the late 1950s, told VP Nixon that 'We (the Soviet Union) will bury you,. and you will sell us the shovel.'

I don't understand why anyone would ask her a question like that anyway. What kind of answer did the reporter expect to get from her that would have any substance. Maybe it was an attempt to make Harris look better by asking her a serious question. It didn't work.

She didn't 'struggle' to answer it. She CAN'T answer it, because she is both clueless and incompetent. Instead, she barfed up some word salad nonsense that said absolutely nothing. If SeeBS had a real reporter, she would have pinned this dimwit down and went for the jugular will some follow up questions, instead of fluffing Kamal Toe some more. If this walking zero cannot even give the most basic definition of inflation, just how will she fix it? I think we all know that they will not do what is necessary to pound down inflation, because it would stop their print and spend agenda cold.

The only event that can be relied upon to end inflation is rapidly increasing interest rates, which also causes a recession. And inflation almost never regresses--it just slows down and stops. (Possible exception: Japan's sickly, decades-long "stagflation" predicament.)

Re #19. My mom found the bill from our local hospital a few years ago for my younger brother’s birth in 1945. 3 days in the hospital because they liked give the moms a little rest back the. It was $56 for the three days including delivery room, etc. I had to spend three days there a couple of years ago. My bill, including several tests..MRI, CAT SCAN, Etc. was $82,000. Admittedly, health care is better and more thorough these days but the costs will only keep going up. The only “cure” is savagely increasing interests rates and, as one poster noted, causes a brutal recession and only slows it down. Thank the Lord for Joe Manchin. That five trillion the Dems want to blow would have us paying ten dollars for a loaf of bread.

A Seattle-area prosecutor was slammed over a recent presentation to law enforcement officials in which he insisted police should "get used to" the district attorney's office allowing juvenile suspects – even those accused of bringing a gun to school – to avoid jail time. Ben Carr, senior deputy prosecuting attorney for King County, made a recent Zoom presentation on "considerations for juvenile suspects." "Even for serious offenses the primary focus will be on rehabilitation," Carr wrote, adding in parentheses, "get used to this concept." The prosecutor presented a scenario where "young Timmy brings a pistol to school, brandishes it during a confrontation and causes panic,"

Late last week the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals removed a stay on the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate via OSHA for companies that employ more than 100 workers. A three-judge panel in a 2-1 decision dissolved the stay previously granted by the 5th Circuit of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration “Emergency Temporary Standard” which would force employers with 100 or more workers to either require vaccination — or force employees to undergo weekly testing and wear masks at all times.
